Grumble winces at the noise. Every critter down here would have heard that. We should pull back to a defensive spot and see what comes out.

Ari flinches at the sound of the bowstring snapping. Ill luck she thinks, though ill luck is all they've found down here so far. She pushes that bleak thought away.

Barn winces as the sound of the snap echoes through the tunnels.
"We could pull back to the original chamber while Moan fixes his bow, and we are happy something isn't gonna jump out on us."

Mag will loan his bow string to Moan. "I do not have a spare."
While moving up closer to hand the string to Moan and assuming he gets 20' away, he will ask Sandspur if the mushroom is evil.

Momentary confusion and nervousness takes over the group of companions; some suggest regrouping back in the larger chamber, while others wait for something to pounce on them, for surely everything (if there is anything) heard the bowstring snap. Mag works his way to the front and hands the embarrassed ranger a fresh bowstring.
Mag then holds Sandspur before him and looks directly at the strange mushroom...he senses no type of evil.
Several feet behind them, Thurm picks up the tattered bag from the skeletal hand and quickly places his palm under it as the leather pouch pretty much falls apart, due to the passage of time. In his hand there are about a dozen pale blue stones (moonstones) and a silver key. Mag is examining his find when King approaches him.
"I think we have a problem," the Neverwintan guard says quietly.
When Thurm looks up at him, King jerks his head to where Stannik is standing. Thurm can see the guard leader at the edge of the corridor on the left from where they entered the mines. Stannik appears to be shuffling his feet as he moves forward down the corridor...where he drops his torch and his blade, before disappearing into the darkness!
(You can see where Stannik was in the last map.)

If Moan hears/sees what is going on behind him. "After him!" and he takes off after Stannik.

Raz follows the others off to try and catch/find Stannik the gnome will grab his torch and sword on the way if nobody else does.

Ari who had been more focused on the mushroom, whirls about at the sudden movements. Still unsure what is going on, she figures it can't be good so she will move back to get a clear view of what is happening.

But I think currently Thurm is the only PC who knows about Stannik, so the whole flow down only starts when Moan knows
