He stops in the galley to get two mugs of coffee each with a healthy slug of whiskey and heads forward to the bridge. "Permission to enter the bridge," Donovan says as he steps into the bridge and hands Flighty a mug. "Here, take this. We can all use it. Great jump by the way. It felt like we hit the sweet spot." The compartment fills with the smell of coffee and whiskey. "Plotting our next moves?" Donovan asks as he takes a seat.
He shook his head. "I brought up the star map because I felt like something was waiting to pop out at me. You know what I saw? Let me tell you."

Sigrún emerges from the computer room and sticks her head through the hatch to the bridge. She appears to have loosened her plate carrier, unloaded her rifle and stood herself down. Despite being now right next to the Ship's Locker she appears to be in the process of returning all her tactical gear to her room.terrymixon wrote: ↑Tue May 27, 2025 1:26 pm “When I brought the map up, Wochiers called to me. She offers "My congratulations, that was an excellent transition, Foringi Flighty. If we arrive at Regina so much the better but a survivable mis-jump might be what we need to throw off your enemies. Despite all our efforts they seem to be able to track us at will. In fairness they didn't seem to know which trader we were on - but then they were happy to destroy both".
She comments "There's nothing I can tell you about Wochiers but for now that is our... sanctuary, já?" She then frowns and adds with a cheerful smile "And, of course it works - it is a vision or seeming sent by the gods!"

Doug comes over comms and says Permission to pressurize cargo bay slightly to check patch.

OOC: This is the SECOND "vision" Flighty has had about a location and not the same location either. So, Flighty picking an out of the way world, Doug walking on sunshine, Sigrun sad at losing something, Dovovan's cousin on the farm, Karcsi forgetting his true name when the Shaman whispered in his ear, and Zaki being unexpectedly happy...is there anything in common there, any sort of pattern, or is the Ref just throwing sand into the gears? Even if they were real visions, how are you suppose to react? Are you supposed to go to the first system, first, and then the second, second, or the first system, second, and the second, first...and does any of the rest make any sort of sense? It's a quandary?!?Tiglath wrote: ↑Tue May 27, 2025 3:31 pmSigrún emerges from the computer room and sticks her head through the hatch to the bridge. All I'll tell you is that the PC's have had Psi-based experiences. Some of which included pre-cognition from certain PC's that seem to have been accurate. It's all very-wild talent based at the moment with no way to control what or when these occur. You may recall that when these psi-based experiences took place they were either in stressful moments or in Jump Space...for whatever that may be worth. As an aside, it is also possible that other psi-based events took place of which you are not aware, or at least, don't suspect that they were psi-based events. So, there you go! Sand in the gears! Something to think about?

Sigrún asks "So from Regina do we go Forboldn, Roup, Wochiers or Yori, Yurst, Wochiers? I think my vision about the ambush at the gas giant was a true sending but I think a lot of the other things we pick up might just be sort of "wild echoes" from the Zhodani "Talisman" we have on board".
She adds "Regina will host foreign powers' embassies. I thought that maybe the Sword World embassy might advise us on what to do with the Talisman if not take custody of it and return it to the Zhodani. As diplomats they are some of the few people in the Imperium we could hand it to without committing more high crimes. Do we really want to keep it? It just seems to be causing us endless strife".
(OOC: FWIW while I thoroughly enjoy our psionic shenanigans I'm not picking up on any pattern (maybe "understanding any specific pattern" might be better?) to the mental experiences here (save that we have them) but then maybe we just would after our exposure to the Talisman? If there is a pattern then for me the clues might need to be in a much bigger font and also quite possibly in neon...
Alas, in the crazy world of Sigrún it all just seems like "business as usual" / actually the less crazy part...
).

While Karcsi works out he digests his thoughts:
He could be at a turning point in life, called to transform or renew himself. There could be a disconnect between his spirit and cultural or ancestral roots. A warning from the spirit world about need for protection. Or a test from the shamanic forces to remind himself of his identity and place in the world.
But with this psionic stuff going around, it could be a nudge or subconscious call to awaken
"...19, 20. 21..."
He repeats his true name to himself.
On the ship comm:
"Hey everybody I had a idea, can we talk at the next meal."
Karcsi

And, why yes, Sigrún's experience of prescription drugs is from looting Med Bays (Streetwise 1) and knowledge of gear she would use to "take the edge off" combat drug withdrawal).
