Re: Quest #47 "The Eyes Have It"
If he doesn't receive an immediate response to his mental plea, Andron will assume the souls wanted him to read the journal. He will select one at random from the pile and scan its contents as quickly as he's able.
Re: Quest #47 "The Eyes Have It"
Maag
"So Theo 'as disappeared den? Dat lad could get lost gettin' out of 'is own trousers". says Maag, exasperated.
Maag stomps off to the doorway of the other room. "Right den. Either dey got sent somewhere else by magic, fell in a pit dat got covered up, turned invisible, got et by sumfin, went back into dat cell, Elroi did 'im in and snuck off, or...."
"Der is a lot of possibilities really." Maag runs his hand through his invisible hair. "I 'ave not got a clue".
"Oy! Theo! Are you in dat cell mate?" he bellows. Maag turns to Torbath. "I will 'ave to go 'an find 'im. ' e owes me thirty gold pieces."
Maag ties a rope around his waist and passes the other end to Torbath. " 'ere is der plan. I will check der cell. Den der bookcases for anyfink suspicious. If der is nuffin' der, I will check der mirror. But I am goin' to use dis little mirror in my 'and, to look over my shoulder into der big mirror".
OM - I realize that is a lot of potential actions. I just listed them all in case you want to do a quick handwave or spend several rounds on them.

Zuhma’s Sewer Quest Revised
Back And Forth
Andron drops the journal and sticks his arm back into the purple blob, initially feeling the same sensation as he did the last time. Once he gives the cacophony of wailing Spirits a moment to settle down, he thinks they are directing him back towards the dusty remains on the floor behind him.
Torbath returns to tell the others about their missing teammate, passing Alordan and Feanol on his way back into the room. Maag quickly ties a rope around his waist and enters the room across the main hall, handing the other end to the wizard Torbath for safe keeping. When the floating rope enters the next area, he confirms the iron bars are indeed back in place again, blocking any access into the dark cell beyond. The mirror looks the same as well, whether he uses his own mirror to view it or not. He calls out to Theo but gets no reply from inside the cell or anywhere else. (you can move to the bookcase/statue area next, as that was already a full round of action)
While this is all taking place, Feanol lets out a muffled shriek and grunts softly when Alordan suddenly collapses into her arms. She is barely able to ease the much larger human to the floor without further complication, but the look on her face is one of confused terror, as she too appears to have no idea what might be happening to everyone. She is about to call out for help when the entire floor of this dungeon starts shaking wildly again, making the simple task of walking across it difficult.

Re: Quest #47 "The Eyes Have It"
Andron assumes a confusioned expression as he glances back towards the dusty remains, remarking, "The remains? There is something we missed?" Feanol's shriek and the onset of another tremor was the only impetous he needed to remove his arm from the blob of lost souls and dart to the remains, carefully, but quickly, sifting through them for anything remotely unusual. "I think the interval between these tremors is decreasing, we need to get out of here!"
Re: Quest #47 "The Eyes Have It"
Torbath
Torbath will hold on to the rope, while standing in the eastern room. He has his left foot planted against the wall ready for a tug.

Maag
Maag proceeds to the bookcases, eyeing the gargoyle suspiciously. He waits a few moments for it to move, then starts to inspect the bookcases.
He first looks for anything odd about the books, such as any that have been dropped on the floor in a hurry.
If nothing seems too obvious, Maag starts to push and slide the bookcases, looking for secret doors.

Back And Forth
The floor stops bouncing and lurching again, giving the group another respite from the strange recurring anomaly. Suggesting they may need to leave this place despite their missing party member, Andron sifts through the remains to find a small scrap of parchment remaining within the otherwise indiscernible dust. It contains a hand scribbled note in the common tongue that reads simply. “the dungeon doesn’t want us to leave”.
BJ replies “I agree” to Andron’s comment about leaving as she opens the next door, hoping to find the back exit from this place. Instead she finds another side room containing 4 more of the golden armor clad Skeletons, another black hole in one wall, and another Gargoyle statue, though this one is spun around in the opposite position than the others you’ve seen, essentially standing on its head with its feet near the ceiling. There is also one more normal looking wooden door just like this one on the other end of the room. Once inside, the purple blob floats into the room behind BJ, heading for the next door. “Hey! We might be on to something here,” exclaims the slinky thief as she investigates the floor before moving further in.
Torbath remains in the eastern room, bracing himself by the wall inside the doorway as he holds the 50 foot rope Maag is tethered to in the other room.
When the nearby Gargoyle statue remains motionless, Maag investigates the bookshelf next, finding only a few remaining journals that weren’t taken yet still laying there. Seeing nothing obvious about the situation, he begins searching the area for any hidden secrets.
After setting Alordan safely onto the ground, Feanol joins Maag in the next room as well, still babbling about the importance of the contents of the journals.

"Here, I can help!" He calls over to BJ.
Grabbing a random journal from the pile on the floor, he moves to the eastern doorway and scans the next room for traps, relaying anything he finds to the thief. He then reads the last couple pages in the journal, searching for any clue as to the fate of its author.

"Maag, now might be a good time to go!"
If Maag comes this way he will join the party otherwise he will continue to hold the rope.

Zuhma’s Sewer Quest Revised
Dopping Like Flies
With no sign of Feanol, Theo, or Elroie the Elf anywhere in the vicinity now, BJ and Andron proceed into the next room anyway, hoping to find an escape route before anyone else disappears. The long, narrow room looks much like the others, and Andron finds no traps with his magical vision. BJ follows the purple blob to the door at the other end of the room where she listens for a moment, indicating that she doesn't hear anything from beyond. She whispers to Andron. "Should we be concerned that there are suddenly only 2 of us left in here? Or is this how your crew normally searches dungeons?"
Looking at the final entries in the prison journals, they could only be described as the ravings of a madman. None of the words or sentences make any real sense at all.
Torbath hears brief talking before he notices the no longer invisible Maag eventually respond to his suggestion that they should leave, entering the main hall again but stopping at the fallen Alordan still lying motionless on the floor without any sort of aid offered to him.
Maag just nods in agreement towards Torbath as he gently picks up the Ranger by his outstretched arms to slowly drag him back towards the room he just exited. I would take a percentile roll from Torbath with your next action, if you'd be so kind.

"I'm not sure if anything we do can be considered normal. I am indeed concerned, however, if we don't quickly find a way out of this place, it may be the least of our concerns. I think this dungeon is alive and has no intention of letting any of leave. Wait here, please." He runs back to the door they came through to check on the others' progress. "We found another door! Any sign of Theo and Elroie?"
