Hot Times in Slateholm 6/23-24

A buoyant Vesper calls over to Galreth "I'm getting wine to go with the bath" then links arms with the two warriors in the street and says to Gaurbal "You didn't say a word to Elizabeth! You should give her some encouragement - when we get to the bath house give her a wave with your loofah!"

She then states simply "Vurna has an impressive hat" then asks Draven casually "Did you notice it?"

"I could hardly miss it. You'd look fabulous in it."

Vesper smiles contentedly as Draven appears to have passed some variety of test.

She then frowns "Oh no! Whatever else happens tonight no one is ending up in anyone else's clothes - again!"

He gives her a roguish smile. "I suppose we'll find out."

Vesper smiles at the playful challenge "On no! Succubi just hang around bars lazily beguiling Priests of Ord while I am the full package!" She snaps into spin and throws up an arm for dramatic effect breaking her pose to give a wicked smile as she adds "I cut my teeth on Priests of Ord!"

Vurna raises an eyebrow at this remark, and reflexively looks around to see if any of the guild members are dressed like priests... her gaze landing on Ohmir, if he is present.

She continues cheerfully "Now that is an impressive hat... nearly as impressive as mine! Though before you go delving I advise you pick up some gear that can stand being dipped in... Ugh, I sooo need a bath!"

The "nearly as impressive hat" dips in a nod of thanks for Vesper's advice. "I should like to hear more about these sewers you crawled... perhaps after your bath, but before you've finished your bottle of wine?"

Zberač seeing that he's been spotted, dips a wing and flies in a little circle as a salute to the mage. But to keep up public appearances he doesn't speak out in a human tongue, as familiars might do.

"Oh, I don't know, that sounds like fun," Tinu deadpans.

“I had a good time,” Draven agreed amiably.

Vurna tilts her hat as she catches up to Tinu. "On the ship no one told me that Slateholm was such a, how do you say it, party town. This Guild Master seems to encourage it, too."

Vesper laughs "They stank!" She then continues "However, we didn't actually delve into the sewers but elsewhere... a not hidden but perhaps forgotten realm - but one known well enough to rats". She adds with a grin "And I'm a bard - so I can surely share a jug of wine and not need an early wheelbarrow home!"

(OOC: Newsflash/Update for Team Sewer / Brown Boots / The Shadow Cats.
We scored 1040gp from realizing our loot. However, Galreth then banked us healing and 39gp from the temple of Ord.

IF we go for 600gp of Carousing in an attempt to level up (per the DM's hint and I am merely his prawn in these matters) via a "Double Lost Weekend" (two two day benders) or then we each have 1079-600/4 = 119.75 119gp 7sp spending money.

Interestingly enough this entire amount would entertain two "guest" PCs to free carousing drinks (but for two whole days they are forced to stoically endure our boorish company, recover our drink soaked carcasses from embarrassing places (see designated wheelbarrow driver) and, worse, must also laugh at all our jokes).

Alternatively 60gp buys chainmail and ~10/12gp buys a "best damage type" weapon.

So if we can get a majority of "seconds" (and no veto) I suggest this route to levellyuphood and we then credit our character sheets with spending money as per the above.

NB We still have to have Galreth/Vesper eye the scroll in the scroll case).

No change in the total (a quarter of the "take" less 600gp carousing) is as above.

I've introduced confusion as ~120gp spends conveniently in 60gp lumps (e.g. chainmail or a carousing "guest")

Elizabeth looks down from the ravens at Vesper. She frowns in confusion, and mouths loofah to herself as if not sure what to make of the word. She glances at Gaurbal, sees his reaction, blushes a little herself, and returns to studiously watching the two familiars.

I had nothing to do with that, but from my reading (page 3-4 of this thread) I don't think the 39 has been paid out yet? If that's the case, you have the nice even split of 110gp each for now

(Also, Vurna would enjoy coming along on the Temple's upcoming recovery mission, for no other reward than seeing the Eye of Ord for herself...)

Vesper beams in delight as if at a sudden revelation and muses idly to her escorts "You know we could help a couple of the new adventurers settle in and learn their way about town... by showing them what colour to paint it!"

If we do it for both carouses the new PCs will bank up XP and be in a good position to likely level up after their first "crawl".
