"Good thinking Sgt. In the end, we're looking at do do number - two remaining doors that the hostiles could use to bug out. If we move north, clearing through the staterooms, we’ve got a decent shot at either cutting off their escape route or seizing the security room - which, if we can hold, gives us eyes on the whole sector.
Now listen up, faujis- if we can't hold the chokepoint at the security room, then chances are high that the room to the west is where the hostiles will try to make their final move. That will be their last dash. So we need to be ready to either lock that down or trap them in the corridor if they make a play for it.
Standard drill - stack up, clear methodically, and no bloody heroics. This could be our only chance to contain them before they scatter. Colonel with you are with us, you have our six."

Frank gestures to Ragnar's warband.
"Don't worry Lieutenant, we've got your back."
He quietly translates the situation for the warband.

Dzofin / Prerna
Dzofin finds the iris valve opens for him. He hurls his grenade as he steps through and sees just beyond it a corpse in half armour (chest, groin and arm hard armour) and has an "old skool" camo pattern on his CES armoured legs in a distinctive "tiger stripe". As a unit patch he has a skeletal hand holding the black aces and eights of a poker hand with the fifth "hole card" reversed. The man is both helmetless and dead. There is an overwhelming smell of what he identifies as human female sex pheromones lanced through with the nasty tang of corrupted flesh. A glance at the dead body of the 1188th merc makes Dzofin wonder "What would make him... inhale corruption..."??? The man's blackened mouth, tongue and throat are destroyed by lesions and blistered flesh...
He darts for the "briefing room" [MULTI_USE ROOM] door, kicks it open and moves within.
The big room is empty but he reckons there is no wall but a screen between this room and that to the north which would blast through with just grenades or gunfire... or actually might just slide aside...
Prerna transits the same tableau as she opens and steps back from the door to the nearest bedroom [EXEC SUITE].
From "northwards" up the corridor she hears a female laugh in manic hysteria and then gravely intone "He comes for you Drace Keening". Another peal of hysterical laughter is cut short as she then recites "UrvashGudrunUrvashGudrunUrvashGudrunUrvashGudrun". A male voice screams "Shut up! Shut up!" a single gun shot stops the repeated intontation.
From within the room the perfumed tones of the occupier ask "Is that you Major Nayar? I thought I saw you at an Inn outside that awful peasant hole of a town called Dragør. The place where I now deduce Sergeant Major Turner's command was terminated with extreme prejudice. Now, that... was a nice piece of work I must say". Prerna recognizes the soft tones of Mr. Charles Kidd (partner of Albert Wint) whom she recognises from Inchin and the trip there aboard Mertactor Lines Spinward Star. She recalls both Wint and Kidd are senior SUSAG field agents working for Director Drace Keening. Kidd continues softly "I have a Corporate minion as hostage but, in fairness, I think we both know that my utter indifference to the continuation of his life might be almost equal to your desire to kill me for my orchestration of the attempt on your own at the Bartizan". He can not suppress a titter of unbidden laughter "However, I have a lot of this station wired up with explosives and whole lot of what I'd call "negotiating options" in either your people's lives or what might be called... if not hard Intel... maybe "career ending rumour". For what it's worth I thought you and your partner Ms East made a nice couple. You know, I could burn the Intel we have on you and her or...".

Re: Tarsus para bellum
Kit
The squad sets charges on the iris valve and blow through to access the north/south corridor. Led by Abel they rely on a secure right flank to take ground in the empty corridor. The stateroom doors to the western side are kicked in to shouts of "Clear", some female screams and "Shut up you soapy bird!" and "Two non combattants female" followed by "Fekkin' over doin' it in the rank Inky!" "Shut it Private!" "Fek me you are a Corporal!"
The squad pushes north and again places charges blowing the iris valve giving sight of SECURITY. Leading from the front now Sergeant Abel pushes through the shattered iris valve taking incoming fire which briefly staggers him. However he rallies shouting "First squad on me!" and presses on clearing the corridor. By the time Kit comes up he sees a small but brutal melee has taken place. Abel is wounded (Left Arm) as is Route One (Lower Torso) but both SuSAG security men are dead. Bayonetting or beating to death men in full cloth armour takes both determination and singular effort.
This has not been lost on the unarmoured and utterly horrified SuSAG security operative in SECURITY.
As soon as Kit appears and interacts with Abel and Route One he seems overcome with relief and gratefully stands up hands raised behind his armourglass window and opens the entrance doors.
Corporal Abel snaps off a momentary emotional salute to Kit and chokes "Gawd bless you, sir, yer a gentleman!" Instantly schooling his emotions he orders "Corporal Ink, long cover an' sweep us up with Nutsy an' the blowtorch!" (NB Kit appears to have just performed two (overdue) field promotions).gurusql wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 4:05 am "Good thinking Sgt. Frank
Frank follows up Kit's squad noting that Abel's aggression at the last breach has now cut off any last chance of spaceborne escape by the SuSAG garrison.
As the battle computer updates he sees that SEMC's coup de main has succeeded in capturing all objectives vital to the control of the Rond facility although not all non vital areas are yet secured.
He leads Ragnar's warband up the corridor behind Kit's breaching squad. Noting that they have left a group of female SuSAG staff in their wake. The all female group are unarmed and while uniformly dressed in "workplace consistent" night attire seem if not militarily aggressive at least vociferous enough to abuse the SEMC squad pressing forward past them. Indeed one steps out of her stateroom to accost Frank. She is surely about to let forth an irate stream of invective when with preternatural speed Ragnar Lothbrok pulls her into an embrace and kisses her aggressively just as he plucks free the pin restraining her hair in a no doubt corporate dress code compliant bun.
As the victim of his inappropriate behaviour manages to enunciate a startled "Mmmf!" that trails off into a contented sigh Ragnar laughs and shoves her back into her room.
From the rear of Kit's squad Nuts (properly checking his six) comments "Fek yer Blue Stratos - that's yer ruddy Lynx effect right there!" Corporal Ink makes a visible effort to stop watching Ragnar and then clip Nuts round the ear to reset his tactical posture. However, she gives the Sword Worlder a purposefully intense backward glance muttering "Madre de Dios, ¡qué hombre!"
Frank is reasonably sure that a contingent of the SuSAG HR department are now in voluntary thrall following behind what might be either described as Ragnar's warband or his own escort...
Glancing back to confirm his suspicion he briefly catches the gaze of Eiríkr Haraldsson known as Blóðøx and has to flinch from the barely restrained and as yet unfocussed hatred building there as the massive viking now seems to nearly fill the corridor as he absently gnaws on the rim of his shield.

Frank makes a note in the battle system that once this job is done then promotions are long overdue. He sets it to appear as reminder to the commanding officer on return to Collace.
He glances over to Ragnar "Blóðøx, he's a berserkr?"

Klaus
Klays' team has three manoeuvre options (routes 1,2 & 3) and he commands his whole squad.
He is aware that Prerna's Scout Snipers are pushing north parallel to his advance and are accompanied by the crazy Vargr Dzofin (see map below).
Route 1 drives through the Engineering quadrant via the north south corridor (parallel to Kit's advance).
Route 2 drives north into the SuSAG Executive area and the EXEC SUITE staterooms.
Route 3 Would put his squad in reserve behind Major Prerna's Scout Snipers who are clearing the other EXEC SUITE area.
Please select a route (or combination thereof)!

Dzofin's hackles rise at smell of the corruption mixed with the pheromones. This is something that is not right, possibly some experiment gone wrong and turned loose somehow. He growls and grips his pistol tightly and shows his fangs. He called out on communicator channel. "Multipurpose room cleared. Heading north to the dining room. Some kind of living biochemical attack on a trooper with the colors of the 1188th. There is a scent of human female about the scene so beware." Since he was in a hurry Dzofin rolled a grenade against the screen from the doorway.Tiglath wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 2:20 am Dzofin / Prerna

Frank notes with incredulity that the Corporate ladies who were previously so irate and demandingly abusive are cautiously following the escort/warband's steps. Their previously regimented appearance has been entirely discarded for free flowing hair and what can only be described as a certain "wilful negligence" with the buttons on their 'jamas!
Ragnar gives Frank an enigmatic smile "It's a bit like that". He rests his sword on his shoulder and shrugs shaking his head "Sometimes he just takes things... really personally. Then he becomes... ah... single minded, já?"

Venner acknowledges with a curt "Bien" as his pair doubles off to support Major Prerna.
Riga Siegsson and Sven Nilsson form the primary penetrating pair through the air lock. Shouldering their suppressed SMGs they move up. A voice shouts "Now!" and the door to the nearest EXEC SUITE opens as both suppressed SMGs instinctively track to target. A SuSAG security man steps out and awkwardly brings up his weapon as both "doorkickers" simultaneously engage. The security guy's shattered body collapses over the room's threshold to be constantly shoved back and forth by the damaged automatic cycling of the door. A las bolt misses Nilsson as the voice shouts "Shoot now! They can't fire back with the whores in the way!" Female screams are audible from up the corridor. As Nilsson moves Riga Siegsson returns an aimed burst which evokes "No!!! Get up you useless fuck! Shit, shit!" Another las beam hits the corridor ceiling and sets it on fire as Nilsson occupies the EXEC SUITE and Siegsson crashes through the door to the MULTI-USE ROOM reporting "Clear with Crazy Vargr". He then adds "Óðins skegg! He's blowing through north! Alternate route north!"
Ambrose and Bothai acknowledge and move into the north/south corridor east of ENGINEERING. Just after they are lost from sight the rhythm of their advance is set: a suppressed burst of fire to chew up the door then a kick to smash it in. At the first instance an over rehearsed voice drawls "Now, soldiers, what you don't understand here..." is drowned by Bothai's "Frag out!" Post detonation Amrose yells "Clear!" The rhythm repeats...dongriffiths wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 11:16 am Ambrose, Bothai move up through the engineering corridor maintain our link to the guys on our left. Route 1

Dzofin's grenade bursts against and blows through what he now understands to be a foldable partition wall for a "party room". There are human cries of pain and alarm from the other side and then a whole mag's worth of autopistol rounds are fired through the newly blasted hole. Curses and fumbling follow the cessation of fire. On approach he can hear an entirely unmilitary and very animated debate over "What to do next...".
"If its Executive Outcomes... that's just...".
"Not for us - we're non executive!"
"Yeah, fek you!" (This is accompanied by a Collace derisory noise).
Example provided: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwaEPTSRcSw
"Once... a successful workplace re-adjustment has been accomplished there will be a stringent HR review of everyone's fulfilment of their workplace potential!"
"Sod all that! I 'eard a cut off call sayin' it woz Vargr pirates! Bringin' their terrible spices aboard to 'elp 'em eat people!"

Beau sticks his head in "Ma'am, can I get that off your leg?"
He scruffs the prisoner out of the door.
"Arrrggooff"
"Rifleman George take appropriate care of that prisoner".
"Gawd bless yer, Mister Beau, sir. I'm givin' 'im ev'ry consideration I am! It's Love's kickin' 'im in the slats! Family didn't do well out of the Corporation 'parently..."
"Arrrrrggghhh"

Beau seems to deliberately focus all of his auditory senses into visual observation "Ma'am, my compliments on your tactical awareness and manoeuvre. The Scout Snipers probe ahead as Prerna is confronted by the now disheveled "suit" Kidd had referred to as his hostage. He throws himself at her mercy and about her armoured thighs. "Something... just... happened didn't it?"
