I'd recommend Jintu carry the mail and Mudlark the boots then.

The dwarven mail, hammer, 2 vials of blue powder, and boots are stowed (please let me know who picks that up and adds them to their inventory; you can put them on an NPC to make sure everyone stays at 90' movement rates) and the party will head up cliff face and reach the next switchback in just under an hour. There is no sign of the humanoid group that was ahead of the party on the next switchback nor on the ramp.

The party pushes on up the cliff face on the Long Stair. After an hour of climbing they reach the 4th of the 5 switchbacks. Unlike the previous two switchbacks, there does not appear to be any sheltered area for respite. As they turn to face the climb to the 5th switchback, they see that the group which they has spied in the morning is not in sight on the trail ahead nor at the switchback. The view 1,000 feet above the valley are breathtaking on the clear day and they can see Gosterwick in the distance to the south.

Does the party want to investigate the 4th switchback area or move on to the 5th switchback? Or have other ideas?

Athena's search for secret doors at the switchback proves fruitless as there are none here. The party sets off up the next leg of the ramp. As the party moves further up the cliff face, Gelli can tell that fresh tracks seem to disappear about halfway up the segment of the Long Stair. Investigating, Athena finds that there is a door made of stone on the cliff face and a rock which appears to be mechanism to open the door.

I have to give Athena credit for her two rolls of a 1...
