Joe looks up from his comm and adds, "Unless you'd like to come along and introduce us to Miss Becker, I mean she is or was your client at PIE, right?"
Joe has downloaded summaries of her papers and the syllabus of the course Zoe is teaching. He wants to go over them to gauge her take on things.
He suspects from the titles she wants to work toward uplifting the poorer areas and isn't really thinking the Government is doing that quickly enough, but he isn't sure and wants to see if he's right about that. If he is, she might fit right in with what Omni's wanting to do.
However, if she's also under scrutiny from the Government for...let's say radical ideas...she might be dangerous to get too close to seeing as what is happening back at Brulanfort.
More can be learned when meeting her, but forewarned is forearmed and information is power are two sayings that are in Joe's mind as he examines her papers and the syllabus of the course she is teaching.

Adam thanked you for lunch. “I am really more of a middle man” he said with a charming smile and easy nature. “It would really be better for you to hear about her work from Zoe herself. She isn’t particularly intimidating unless you want to talk CODE with her. Then the conversation gets out of my comfort zone and I struggle to follow along.” Adam chuckles “If I go with you, all she will want to talk about is whether I have located funding for her Doctoral research.” Adam whispers dialog] “Since I have not, I think I will avoid her for the moment.” [/dialog] He winked.
According to her schedule, Zoe taught a class this morning at 1000 and should be available in something called the ECON Research Lab from 1300 to 1500 for students that need to talk. Joe scanned his downloaded information. The course seemed fairly typical for college coursework. “The Effects of Government Policies on Economic Growth” didn’t seem particularly radical, more just Macroeconomics with a special focus on the Beau Civil Service Bureaucracy and the strengths and challenges of a Command Economy.
“Income Inequality and Economic Stability” was more of a meta-analysis of thousands of studies from over a hundred different worlds that examined the correlations and factors that impact which Planetary Economies grow, which stagnate and which decline with an emphasis on Income, Social Mobility and Government Stability. One of the significant conclusions was that a wide Income Gap, especially one that was systemic and generational, increased innate instability within the culture and was a significant drain on the overall resources available for other programs … Police States were inherently less efficient because they wasted too many resources controlling the population.
“The Role of Technology in Economic Growth” turned out to be something other than you expected. Rather than focusing on things like how advancing technology might improve manufacturing or distribution or some other aspect of Economics … it was closer to a new Computer Language for empowering Machines to evaluate and optimize economic decisions. It was really much closer to COMPUTER than ADMIN (Economics). Calling Mick over (with his Admin-3) only confirmed that this had little to do with Economics and nothing to do with ADMIN at the level of dealing with Bureaucracies. It was a far more theoretical work.

It took some searching of the University Campus to locate the Economics Department and several points in the right direction from helpful students passing by to locate the ECON Research Lab (which was centrally located but accessed via an unexpected door.) There were several students quietly (and not so quietly) working on Economic Models on a large Supercomputer. Zoe sat at a desk just grading papers on a large Handcomp.

Stepping onto the campus, Mick suddenly feels something a lot out of character for him. He starts feeling a bit...inadequate. He'd never admit it, but he's feeling out of place. Upon finding Zoe, he quietly sidesteps the inside of the door and makes a motion with his hand for Joe and Nyota to lead the way.
