From my earlier experience, I can make plants grow and I can shape them, but still takes days or weeks? So, I couldn't tell the shrubs here to grow a footbridge overnight?"

Everyone should have used 2 days and I think you were all carrying 5 days emergencies as you were only going out for a 1 day out and back trip. Except Fisk, who is out of food.

I think the faster way across the river would be to find a tall enough tree close enough to the river and cut it down. That said the spells you are talking about would be dependent on the grow rate of the plant chosen. I just did some looking and the fast growing conifer can grow up to 3 feet a growing season (probably 8 months here). Verdant hand causes it to grow 100 times faster with a marginal success or 300 times faster with a critical success. The spell lasts 4 days for you so it would grow about 5 feet in 4 days. 15 feet if you manage a CS. Pretty fast really but not much use here. The figure spell which shapes it lasts longer than Verdant so you could shape direction of growth etc.

Harnic Dwarves don't have dark vision or infravision. You do have the best vision in the group though, but no where near as good as an orc.

Algrim sneaks up to the river but pauses before crossing when Beryl mentions it not worth crossing.

If Algrim still wants to cross just let me know, otherwise you can just post your next actions.

Exact Location Unknown, near Kiraz.
Date Unknown. Dawn.

Turning back, everyone returns or remains at the camp site and finishes out the night. First thing in the morning the day dawns to some overcast, but no rain at the moment. Everyone gathers their gear, refreshes themselves at the river and head out. Following the old trail, you sometimes have to stop and make sure you are still on it. It seems to stay within sight or ear shot of the river at least. Making fresh water always accessible. Occasional seasonal stream beds are crossed and even a few berry bushes are spotted, giving up their sweet harvest. With a half hour to an hour of light remaining you come across what appears to be another long unused camp sight hidden among the rocks. All day you saw no sign of Orcs or any other animals save an occasional bird circling high above.

Lharzin helps with studying the camp, but more importantly focuses on bolstering their foraged stores and securing the site for their use against discovery and weather.

Exact Location Unknown, near Kiraz.
Date Unknown. Late in the day.

As the day goes by Lharzin and Algrim manage some foraging along the way. Gather enough food for everyone to get a days rations.

The camp site looks good and Algrim takes a look and the river seems fish-able here. Does anyone want to try fishing?

There is an old unused fire pit if you want to cook a meal, but it would be a bad idea to burn a fire at night with Orcs around.

Looking ahead at the height of the mountains everyone agrees 2 more days should get you to the headwaters of the river near the top of the mountain as long as the trail goes that far. If it doesn't it will be slow going to follow the river. You haven't seen any sign that the Orcs have been on this side of the river anytime recently. Fitz mentions Wyvern several times as he seems shaken by his last encounter with them but no sign of any is seen.

Lharzin helps with the camp and settles in. Skilled with many types of plants, she doesn't fish.

How is the enchanted sword that glows blue when orcs are near going?

Exact Location Unknown, near Kiraz.
Date Unknown. Early evening.

Camp is set up as Beryl tries his hand at trident fishing. It doesn't go well and he doesn't spear anything.
Beryl doesn't have the fishing skill, so first attempt allows him to open it. Fishing Dex/Eye/Wil OML 2. (16+14+17)/3, SB=16, ML=32. Your sun sign did not apply and your 91 roll is MF. Please add the skill to your sheet. After some more use your initial specialty will be Trident.

Murgar sits down, "I am going to try to open myself to Sarajin and see what I can learn. Please leave me be unless absolutely necessary."
Casts Galra's Enhancement on self, Prescience. Takes 9 minutes of casting/meditation.
GE (54) [1d100]=95
Critical Failure.
Spell Misfire Savorya spell [1d100]=1
Form Failure, best possible result. Murgar suffers additional Fatigue.
Form Failure additional fatigue [1d3]=3
Total fatigue 4, 1 for casting spell and 3 for form failure, but Murgar is able to contain the failure with additional strain so no other negative affects.

Murgar, "That did not go well, I must rest now."

Night has fallen.

Any actions before watches?

Checking back on this:
How is the enchanted sword that glows blue when orcs are near going?
Can Lharzin do more foraging or is that spent for the day? Do Herbalism or other skills have applicability? Did the survival roll help anything with camp?

Unless there's an opportunity I am missing i am good moving forward to morning and onward to the next encounter/opportunity.

I meant to reply to the sword question, sorry. It has not glowed at all since an hour or so after the Orcs left the fishing hole. I am assuming you will keep it handy as a warning system.

The survival roll helped with setting up camp, tending to a fire, mending gear etc. Without a critical either way it didn't have much impact on the situation so I didn't mention it. I will try to address all rolls in the future.

Foraging, Fishing, Hunting, Herbalism (and many other skills) assume you are spending at least 4 hours at it. If less I try to do a reasonable penalty or just reduce the results, in this case I just assumed all your free time of the day was taken up by foraging and applied no penalty. So roughly 3 hours before and after the march and an hour along the way roughly. Which doesn't leave you any time for Herbalism too. But you could switch and do Herbalism on your next day. Keep in mind that the environment and season you are in play a part in Foraging (as well as the other skills too) and the high mountains are not the best place to forage or hunt. In a better place you would have foraged more food then 4 days. The fishing here is actually pretty good but just opening it hurt Beryl. Hopefully this makes sense.

Also, I should mention that due east of you, maybe 50 miles away is a snow covered peak of nearly 8,000 feet. You think the trail is headed towards a smaller peak of maybe 4,000 feet, only a few miles away. But it is slow going on this kind of trail. You are guessing there is a valley between the 2 peaks that is where Kiraz is.
