Melee continues with Goran taking a minor wound, -2hp and Fawkes killing one opponent.

The two duels to the death continue with the crocodiles in the sewer ready for any seconds of meaty desserts once a body gets thrown into the waters.

Fawkes 2/17hp
Goran 3/16hp.

next attacks please.

Tunnels: Sewer Network

Orc. Melee [1d20]=2 [1d8]=1

Goran seriously injures his opponent -4hp with a dagger thrust. The guard staggers but is not slain.

Fawkes duels ineffectively for two rounds until he gets in a killing blow, ditching the body into the sewer channel to be gorged upon by the feasting crocodiles. He ring leeches bloody revitalising health into his body in gruesome vampiric fashion. +4hp

Guard: [1d20]=3 [1d6]=1

Guard: [1d20]=1 [1d6]=5

next actions, Goran continues melee.

Fawkes can only watch the duel as the pair tussle, one emerging victorious as the other gets slain and ditched into the whirlpool current and sucked away, lifeless into the sewer drainage system. but who falls and who stands victorious?

Fawkes 6/17hp
Goran 3/16hp.

Tunnels: Sewer Network

Goran, Halfling rogue and adventurer steels himself for one last 'hoorah', dual-wielding
his treasured seahorse designed, ivory hilted scimitar and favoured enchanted dagger; its electric blue illumination flashing every cut and thrust, riposte and parry. His steps a whirl, mirroring the churning sewage in the channel beside him.

However it is the Orc guard who steels him, thrusting his broadsword between the brave Halfling's ribs, -5hp, it causes Goran to fall to his knees in limp surrender as he bleeds out and a final swipe takes head from neck. His body kicked unceremoniously into the maelstrom of flotsam, floating once around before being inexorably sucked into the sewer drain pipe. His head is lifted up by his topknot hair, eyes staring lifeless at his victor who exclaims with pride, "I have the Imposter's head!"

Orc. Melee [1d20]=20 [1d8]=5 Orc. Melee [1d20]=16 [1d8]=8

next action Fawkes still on the walkway.

Fawkes

"Nooo!" he shouts as decapitated Goran is tossed into the sewage and away.

I will grab a crossbow from one of the guards I killed, load a shaft and aim it at the Orc who holds up Goran's severed head.

Fawkes: looses light Crossbow: [1d20]=5 [1d6+1]=6+1=7

Tunnels: Sewer Network

11.30am.

Fawkes can do nothing more for Goran. He tries to take some form of vengeance but his shot goes wide and alerted the guard chooses to bolt too, this time running down the walkway but instead of crossing the arched bridge to engage Fawkes in melee, he runs down the side channel.

Fawkes can give chase but soon finds that the Orc guard has given him the slip. After the bridge, the walkway goes only a short distance down the side channel. The construction of the sewer changes here, the main channel dividing into three smaller tunnels. The walls are still made of brick and the ceilings of stone, but there are no longer any dry ledges to walk upon. The floor is solid, but is covered by about 2’ft or more of sewage flowing towards the main channel. Wading through this against the current is difficult and tiring. All movement is reduced. Looking down the three divergent passages, you cannot see any sign of the Orc guard as the passages turn also a short distance along. Presently you only have your infravisual sight and in the sewer channels, the reeking steam and humid conditions hide much clarity from what you can see.

Next Action Fawkes
