The Lost Cellar
Re: The Lost Cellar
Oggdrab enters cautiously and progresses slowly near the sagging wall. Without touching anything yet he asks: "Did you hear something coming from there? Are there holes through which we can peer into what is behind?"
Re: The Lost Cellar
Looking down around the stone mason's tools and pile of loose stone, you see where he was working and broke through a false wall. On the other side of the wall you barely make out the form of a rotted wooden trap door in the floor.
Light Source: Lantern held by Antero lasting ? (-7 minutes)
Presumably Antero knows how much oil is in the lantern; your characters do not.

Re: The Lost Cellar
Quintin approaches the hole in the wall and examines it. If it is big enough he squeezes through and examines the door.
Re: The Lost Cellar
Agis is the only one close enough to be able to fit through and that would be a very tough squeeze for even him. And since McThunder hasn't posted in over a week and hasn't been online since the 3rd, his character may have just disappeared into the crowd as he and Blaghorg were following Antero. Someone or multiple someones are going to have to make the opening bigger.
Re: The Lost Cellar
Snorldrab
"If someone else makes the hole big enough for me I will crawl in and check out that trap door."
She is 5'6", 135 lbs.

Re: The Lost Cellar
Quintin looks at the hole and then at Snorldrab and back to the hole a few times. He then looks at the tools left and picks up a hammer and eyes a few stones. I got ya! I'll make the hole bigger. He then takes a few practice swings in the air with the hammer before moving to the hole.

Nolthar
While they work on making the hole bigger, Nolthar wanders into the other rooms, looking around for anything useful or unusual. Seeing the decay and debris, Nolthar smiles. "This is someplace Shune would like," he whispers to himself.

Blaghrog
The half-orc is not very happy with the racket, so he keeps on watch over Quintin, weapon ready.

Re: The Lost Cellar
Oggdrab grunts, then takes another tool and helps Quintin make a bigger hole with it.
Re: The Lost Cellar
It takes Quintin and Oggdrab about 30 minutes to clear out the stone and make an opening large enough for everyone to pass through and access the trap door.
Any actions before opening the tap door?

Re: The Lost Cellar
Quintin dusts off his hands once the opening is done. He then pulls his sword out of it's scabbard and looks to the group. I will go down first if someone else opens the door. Copacetic?
Re: The Lost Cellar
Snorldrab
Snorldrab will examine the door for traps and locks.

Blaghrog
"What is the meaning of this strange word?" - the half-orc inquired.
Re: The Lost Cellar
Re: The Lost Cellar
Oggdrab nods at Quintin and, provided Snorldrab gives him the go, he takes the handle with both hands and opens the trap door.
I had to look the word up in the dictionary...

Re: The Lost Cellar
EDIT: Mismarked the size of the landing. Corrected.

Snorldab does not find any traps or locks on or around the trap door.
Oggdrab pulls the lid up and off the opening (it's not hinged, it's more like a plug or stopper.) From the glow of the lantern you see a ladder set into the wall below the opening. It drops down about ten feet and then there is a hallway heading south. The landing below looks to be 5' x 5'.

Re: The Lost Cellar
Quintin glares at Snorldrab when he calls his an ass and then nods.
He looks down the ladder and climbs down and moves slightly south out of the way of the others.

Re: The Lost Cellar
Snorldrab
Snorldrab follows Quintin down. Moving along to provide room for the others, but not so far as to get the party split up.

Re: The Lost Cellar
Oggdrab looks at Antero. "Maybe I can take this lantern to explore below. How long will it last approximately?" he asks. Whether or not he gets it, he follows the others downstairs.
