Welcome to Autumndale
Re: Welcome to Autumndale
I'll use one of my daggers. Try and wiggle it out.

Re: Welcome to Autumndale
If it wasnt wedged very hard, ....hmmm, maybe pour water down there and float it out.
Re: Welcome to Autumndale
Vik looks curiously over Tub's shoulder to see what's wedged in the crack.
"Be careful, Tub... could be a Death Monger hiding in there!" he jokes around, slapping his fellow guild-deputy on the back.

Re: Welcome to Autumndale
sliding a dage rin the crack tub begins to work it back and forth trying to jar the object loose.
roll 1d20
roll 1d20
Re: Welcome to Autumndale
Sweating nervously at Vik's comment, Tub tries to see what he can do before trying the water idea:
[1d20] = 16
[1d20] = 16

Re: Welcome to Autumndale
Tubs dagger starts to get hung but he manages to move it free. he is able to catch under the object and with a shove press it out of the crack.
picking it up it looks to be a large coin very tarnished and corroded like it has been in the crack a very long time. the edge that was facing out of the crack is worn but the rest seems in good shape more protected form the elements wedged in the crack.

Re: Welcome to Autumndale
Tub squints his eyes and takes a look, anything he can read?
Then he shows it to Cil.

Re: Welcome to Autumndale
You clean away the corrosion to find a larger than normal gold coin. pressed into the center is an insignia of a falcon wings spread and talons out. There is a languiage you do not recognize written aorunf the edges of the coin.
Re: Welcome to Autumndale
Osric, nearby enough to see whats going on (I hope) will look down at any similiar stone and start to roll and whack at it with his hammer, as if looking for a weak spot to crack it open.
Coins in the rocks? The world has been rift twisted more than we could have imagined.
There must be thousands of them!!!
He looks back, as any of the others look oddly at his logic, and he adds, "What? Its worth a shot."

Re: Welcome to Autumndale
Cilian examines the coin with an odd look on his face.
"Well... Maybe the coin was wrapped in something and made into a pendant or..."He rubs on the coin again with a bit of force this time,"this isn't gold. Gold is a completely inert metal; it doesn't contain iron, so it can't rust or corrode."
Cilian starts to launch into a long-winded monologue about the various properties of gold and its uses, aside from its currency value, but realizes nobody appears interested at the moment, so he bends back over the coin to see if he can determine what the symbols on it are...

Re: Welcome to Autumndale
you are unable to decifer the strange writing, but the coin feels heavier than you would expect it to.
Re: Welcome to Autumndale
"Wonder how old it be? You think it's worth anything, Cil?" Vik queries curiously as his magely companion scrutinizes it more closely.

Cilian shrugs."Worth holding onto, I suppose. Maybe someone back in town can decipher the reading. Or there is a spell that would reveal the nature of the writing, but I don't know it. Might be something Harold could teach me, though..."
