As the group watches the precarious dealings between the Princess and the red glow in the distance, everything seems peaceful......until it isn't.

A short time after the unheard conversation starts, the red glow seems to get angry, pulsing in a flash of bright red that propels Princess backwards through the air. When her body lands on the ground, the glowing figure moves in close and hovers over her for a moment, possibly contemplating finishing the job.

Elnaerel makes a gesture as if to rush toward the Princess but stops short before actually taking a step. She knows that no one can stop MommaPamma.

The cleric resists the temptation to help the Princess, instead wisely listening to the warnings from the others about the powerful demon.

The fighter looks on as the situation plays itself out. Bad things happen to those who wield the sword.

Holmfrid grips her halberd tightly, twisting her hands in frustration - but in the end waits as Wes suggests.

MommaPamma's Return?
Late Afternoon/Early Evening

Wes warns the others of the negative experiences he has had in the past, not only with the dreaded MommaPamma, but also with their favorite Princess, or more appropriately, her identical twin sister Allissa.

As the group watches the proceedings between the distant pair, the red glow moves up very close to Princess, hovering directly over her for a moment. Then the visage of a beautiful woman forms from the red glow before bending down to whisper into the ear of the Princess. Just as the pair appears about to fall into a loving embrace, the red figure rips the Kings sword out from the hand of Princess before backing away slightly and then vanishing completely, leaving her lying there all alone on the ground.

The cleric moves quickly towards the Princess then stops five feet away, hesitant to move any closer as she doesn't know what to expect. The fear of a previous unpleasant experience flashes through her mind: seemingly dead creature shot up with its boney hands clasping around the her neck almost choking her to death. Are...are you ok? She hopes for a verbal response. If not, she'll attempt to heal her.

The fighter boldy follows the cleric with weapon drawn and read of use if the need arises.

Tlachtga keeps watch as Lerrick checks on the Princess/Allissa.

Holmfrid maintains her position guarding Tlachtga.

Wes stands stone-faced, waiting to see what happens next.

Elnaerel sees that Lerrick runs toward the Princess. Since she is in good hands, her instincts tell her to watch her surroundings.

The Princess

She hears someone in the distance and rolls over to face the voice, her heart still beating loudly enough to mask the speaker. "I think so. She...uh...licked me."

Checking her muscles and bones before she stands, eventually she gets to her feet and releases a weary sigh.

"Good to see you Lerrick. And even the new face, Tzarkori. Did you know that stupid sword speaks to you? Gods, that sucked."

"Are the others still here? She didn't take another?"

Tzarkori

The fighter moves forward and offers the Princess and hand for her to grab in order to stand up. The sword spoke? Words of poison no doubt. I am relieved that it is no longer your possession.


Lerrick

The cleric smiles glad to see that the Princess wasn't hurt. Yes, the others are still with us...What did the sword say?

[Monsieur Rose]

The Princess

"Thank you." She accepts the hand and rises. "The sword is named Regelis. Ever hear of it? Anyway, Regelis sensed MommaPomma and expressed great relief that 'finally' someone worthy has arrived."

She shakes her head to clear the memory. "And then she talked in my head, so it was just a full house at that point. Regelis first begged and then threatened me to give him to Momma. Saying that he had ways to make it bad for me if I didn't."

"When I thought about trying to strike her, Regelis said that he would not help slay such a beautiful creature. Like I said, that sucked. You and Holmfrid were right, but maybe she would have gotten it anyway."

"Did you ever hear the King mention it before? Do you know where Regelis came from?"

No. But I know the sword was in the king's possession for as long as I've been a member of his guard. Holmfrid has been a protector of the king longer than I have. Perhaps she knows something. The fighter turns towards Holmfrid and motions her over to join their conversation. .

"The Kings sword was a family heirloom passed down for generations, but only this King seemed to be totally possessed by it. Perhaps this is a result of a deal with this MommaP being."

Wes

"Yes, we're all still here," says Wes eventually. "I'd like to say it's by the grace of Obad Hai. But it's because Momma had no interest in us. She wanted you".

"Lying bitch!", she called you. She's a demon. No interest in the truth. But she meant it it, didn't she? You've made some kind of a deal with her. For her next gem."

"Where did she get the first one? Why is she asking you for the next one? And of course, Alissa. What is her exact role in this? I've suspected all along that she's been out there. "

Wes' eyes narrow. "But the question I'd most like the answer to, is why are we all endangering our lives staying with someone who is being tracked by a demon, and makes no attempt to warn us?"

The cleric, upon hearing the words from Wes, steps back from the Princess. Lerrick's facial expressions shows a look of worry and concern.

The fighter grips the hilt of his great sword. What kind of trickery is this?!
