Frank
Frank refits his helmet, checks the battle-comp readout and opens the command channel "Cross here. Ragnar Lothbrok and his warband, four total, will be assisting us in taking this facility before we return them home to Tarsus. He'll be under my direction." he smiles "As much as is possible, could it worse than the adolescent Aslan?" Frank wonders to himself.
He looks at Ragnar "Are you happy if we speak imperial? Most of my people don't speak Sagamaal?"
(The following will be spoken in whichever language Ragnar prefers, from the question above)
"I have a unit past the smoke which has taken out the laser weapon emplacement, they are moving further into the complex. Stay with me, we will move in parallel to them, alongside lieutenant Arnholdts team." he gestures towards Klaus's unit before moving towards them "Civilians are to be captured alive."

Freya
She ducks back and when she checks the effect notes that the blast doors are now closed and that the attempted invasion is now reduced to blows against the outer surface of serially diminishing strength. The blows then cease entirely.
Freddie, possibly delusional on pain meds, mutters "Good game, good game! Didn't she do well? Let's 'ave a look at the paws on the doors... Oh, they're gone..." Eyeing Freya he murmurs wistfully "Give us a twirl..." and lapses into unconsciousness.
Checking through her handy "bay window" Freya can see the immobile wreckage of a cargo bot in the hangar at the blast door's threshold.

That over, she steps forward and readies her gauss rifle in case there are still signs of life.

1d8: 4 = 4 Chest
AV = 10 Pen = 20 + 2d6 = KIA).
Kit fires instinctively, muscle memory kicks in as he targets the grenade launcher while conscious of a culminating whine at his shoulder. Within the strange utter clarity of "bullet time" he sees his first rounds strike sparks off the body of the auto grenade launcher and deflect off the tiger striped combat armour. The 1188th man shoulders the weapon undaunted and takes his aim as Kit's second snapshot burst strikes the weapon's receiver and then smoke suddenly jets from its magazine. His opponent is quick to react and smoothly ditches the now compromised weapon and evades whilst drawing his sidearm. The whine at kit's shoulder turns to a steady tone and he hears Nuts growl " 'Ere comes the sun, little darlin'. An' I say, it's all right". The plasma bolt takes the armoured figure clean through the chest plate and over penetrates to burn deep into the wall behind. The man in the tiger striped armour pitches forward stone dead with the wall behind him momentarily visible through the hole burned clean through both him and his armour.gurusql wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 6:18 am Rifle Shot [_2d6+3]=(1+5)=6+3=9 (Rifle-2, A DEX)
Rifle Shot [_2d6+3]=(6+4)=10+3=13 (Rifle-2, A DEX)
Kit watches as the heavily armored figure steps forward, the jungle camo not exactly blending with the starship interior. The 1188th warrior, his movements calculated and precise, adjusts his grip on the ominous-looking automatic grenade launcher. Kit knows this is his only opportunity. A flurry of grenades with no cover would be fatal.
He steadies his breath, aiming carefully at the weapon, not the man. The barrels of his firearm gleam as his finger tightens around the trigger. The sound of the first shot rips through the air, followed closely by a second, both shots designed to hit the most vulnerable part of the enemy's weapon: the weak point, the trigger mechanism, or perhaps a grenade itself. Anything that might make it malfunction or worse, detonate.
After Kit fire, on his comms he will call for the medic to help Dog.

Klaus:
(OOC: Unopposed movement - something must be going right!
)
Klaus' team see a groggy Dzofin in the care of T'lia (medic) and a disarmed SuSAG Engineer/civilian type who poses little threat (and even less so when quick cuffed and thrown on the deck). They press forward pushing east and when joined by the rest of the team south into the OFFICE between the fuel tanks that divide ENGINEERING to discover therein a SuSAG senior grade engineer who has not so much been strangled as had his neck put in an industrial press. Same result... just a little more messy. He appears to have been in the middle of some instructions to the power plant which are now... interrupted pending any further user input.dongriffiths wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 8:39 pm Directing the 2nd team to inspect the med facilities and cover the corridor towards engineering and the fuel tank.

Re: Tarsus para bellum
Prerna & T'lia
T'lia checks over Dzofin who appears to be groggy having been "ragged about".
T'lia then drops back to RV with Kit's team who are dragging a seriously wounded Trooper Dog towards her. She immediately sets to delivering care which will save the trooper's life pending a trip in a cold sled to high tech surgery.
Prerna sees her scout snipers move east to secure the northern half of ENGINEERING. They are almost immediately reinforced by two independently operating fire teams of Klaus' operatives who, while the scouts cover threats north, secure the whole of ENGINEERING. On the Tac channel Prerna notes they discover a dead "Engineer Officer" killed in the middle of some operation with the power plant which is now permanently interrupted for lack of user input.

Kit
As his tiger striped opponent drops Kits squad surge forward through the quadrant blast doors. They immediately take gauss rifle fire from another 1188th man defending an open iris valve to the north of the SERVANT'S QUARTERS. As Kit's squad return fire the 1188th trooper is hit by a fusilade of HEAP rounds from the south and his head rocks back with consecutive headshots. Clearly wounded, if not mortally so, the enemy evades and manages to close the iris valve as he appears to collapse.
From his left rear Abel calls "Sir, we have a north south corridor! It must run most of the length of the quadrant north of us. Sealed iris valve at the end. If we blow through that we'll turn their defence an' cut 'em off from the hangar, sir".
Almost directly to his East kit sees another enemy this time a black clad SuSAG security man posted at an open iris valve. He raises his weapon but his location is immediately struck by SEMC suppressing fire from the south and he bolts back into the corridor. He shouts "Leave the cutting gear. It's too late - they're here!"

Klaus and Prerna
Both squads divide to pincer the PRIVATE ESCAPE PODS objective.
Klaus takes the left hand door directing Naffo to take the right. The Scout Snipers similiarly divide and the crazy Vargr also joins in going right with Naffo's team.
Moving up the squad observes enemy troopers defending two iris valves to the north and engaging the SEMC infantry squad thrusting from the west. His operators and scout snipers immediately engage without orders.
Klaus sees a SuSAG security guy suppressed and pull back from his fighting position into the objective corridor housing the escape pods. He also sees a 1188th veteran merc hit multiple times including headshots from the scout sniper pair before he closes the iris valve directly northwards.
Immediately pushing up to take the ground given up by the enemy reveals a view into the PRIVATE ESCAPE PODS corridor. This reveals friendly SEMC forces at the other end, one prisoner and a laser torch set up to attempt cutting an entry through the iris valves giving entry to the VIP Escape Pods themselves.

Dzofin
Taking the Northeast door Dzofin moves up accompanied by a scout sniper pair (the human Corporal called Baker - mate of the leader of the other sniper pair called Easy). He is also joined by the human Naffo and a fire team of Klaus' "operators". Dzofin sees they are carrying out his will without the need for him to give them any orders - which saves a deal of effort on his behalf...
AS he approaches the iris valve leading to the PRIVATE ESCAPE PODS from the eastern end the valve pops open and two SuSAG crewmen bolt into the main corridor and runs northwards.
Baker calls "Squirters!" and drops one fugitive with a burst from his suppressed ACR. The other disintegrates under two simultaneous bursts of HEAP from Naffo and his partner.
A gaussrifle is hurled out of the iris valve and a voice screams "IsurrenderIsurrenderIsurrender!" then after a forced inhalation "Don't kill me!"

Both have the luxury of "Command Deployment" here.
Frank can put himself anywhere he likes!
Prerna can choose to deploy with either the Northwestern assault on the PRIVATE ESCAPE PODS objective (with Klaus) or the Northeastern assault (with Dzofin).

Re: Tarsus para bellum
Dzofin ignores the fleeing humans that were quickly shot down and sprints to the iris valve leading into the north-south corridor. He is confident that the humans are following him as he hears their motion behind him. He stands ready to open the valve and turns to to his human counterpart. "Ready grenades again. Let's throw explosive and laser aerosol grenades down to the intersection if we can. I will go low and left and duck into the meeting room with grenades first. Send someone to take cover in the bedroom on the right while the rest cover fire."

Re: Tarsus para bellum
Once the team is in place Dzofin signals "go" and then opens the iris valve. Dzofin tosses a fragmentation grenade as far down the passageway as he can. Then he pauses for a moment to allow the volley of grenades to take their toll before he runs along the left wall to the entrance to the briefing room.
