Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
wanted to double-check is the fighting over near Torvik or are we still battling rogues? I kinda got lost between reading the update and others action posts.

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
All four rogues you are facing are still standing, though all have taken damage. So Torvik, Ruskin, Kade and Nis/Bessea are all still fighting one rogue each.

Thanks, I apparently didn't read all the way to the end.
Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
I put it at the end just to confuse you.

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
Maybe I missed something...
I'm just confused
I thought she just emerged from the front of the tent surrounded by our allies. She just slid past all the hostiles to the prisoners and cut Abaessa's throat?Tenebrae locks eyes with the elf for a moment before the arrows fall. Two miss, but one finds its target piercing her shoulder. As she is hit, she raises her scythe-like staff's point and quickly tears open Abaessa's throat.
I'm just confused
Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
Crap, nevermind. I see what my tired eyes missed before:
Rover down on slicing through the woman's side. She screamed and began to pray. Tenebrae said, "Avenge our sister Suspiro! I will slay the sacrifice." And with that she cut through the air with her scythe-like staff, and it trailed shadow in the swing and the witch disappeared into that darkness as smoke seemed to blot out her remaining sister as the woman looked at Thena their eyes locked.
Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
Tristenc and all the others for that matter - Always feel free to question my posts. I'm not infallible and haven't DMed a pbp game since the 90s so I'm bound to make some mistakes. But I'm open to fixing those mistakes. Tristenc, just to clarify since I really didn't explain it as well as I probably could have and its easy to miss stuff when reading it. The witch runes are only a barrier to non-witches. Nis could easily enter and exit them and missile fire and spells cast into them are not affected from anyone attacking those within. Witch-blood, freely given, is the only way to open them for non-witches to pass through/exit and reach melee range.
And since I'm trying to stick to the 2E rules, Tenebrae has not struck a killing blow against Abaessa yet. She cut into her neck with the tip of her staff (a piercing weapon not slashing) opening a tear in her throat and starting her to bleed out. There is still the chance to stabilize her if you reach her before she reaches negative points equal to her constitution. So you have a choice of healing (if you can get a potion from someone) or attacking.
I won't be posting a reply until tomorrow, so you can revise your post or leave it as is, up to you.
In the mean time, anyone who has questions, feel free to ask.

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
Thanks for the clarifications, I had misunderstood some things about the wards. I appreciate it
So as long as she doesn't take more damage Nis has a little time to get to her. I'm thinking healing probably won't do much good unless she can drive Tenebrae away, so she'll keep her action to shoot this round and probably try to get to her with healing next round

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
I'm giving everyone 800 experience points for the undercity encounters. Please update your character sheets. Frankly, I'm surprised you all survived the final one. It could have easily gone south if not for some good dice rolls on your parts.
I will probably be covering for McThunder a bit, for the next month, as he is going to be out of country on business and an internet connection will be unreliable.

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
Thanks! I didn't want to say anything while combat was going on, to no jinx, but I don't think I have ever had such a run of decent rolls on the dice roller.
Great game Revenant!

Thanks for the XP!
It was a good fight.

Re: OOC: Out of Character Chatter
If you don't get that feeling at least once, it probably isn't a good fight.
