An Anti-Imperial Organisation. Designated as a Terrorist Organisation by the Emperor in 1080. Reputedly led by Kakin Ribiero

Groups are known to exist on multiple worlds in the the Coreward-half of the Spinward Marches and have been operating an Active Insurgency on Efate (SM1705) since 1104.

Despite this, Ine Givar activity on Efate (SM1705), Feri (SM2005) or Forboldn (SM1808) has been denied by the Imperial Navy even as they deploy Imperial Marines to counter their influence.

Evidence that the Ine Givar has been funded by the Zhodani Consulate has been robustly refuted by Ambassador Shterbifriashav.

A department of the Imperial Government's Office of Imperial Concerns.

The foundation is concerned at the disruptive and potentially dangerous effects of high-technology left by the Ancients and has the job of ensuring such technology falls into the right hands (i.e. its own).

The foundation has a small office in Credo, Regina (SM1910).

Several research programs into specific effects observed in the unusual technologies found are funded by the office. The secret ones are rumoured to be conducted at the Imperial research Station Beta on Yori, but more public ones are undertaken by researchers at the six-sister's group of universities on Regina (SM1910)

Headed by Duchess Delphine of Mora, this conservative party within the Imperium is well entrenched and is generally opposed to rapid change. In this role, this faction is relatively reactionary and discourages the frenzied policies of "Forward the Imperium!" or the "Regina Marches" groups.
This group espouses "Masterful Inactivity". They firmly believe in the status-quo and that crises blow-over.

A strident, expansionist political group, based in the Rimward parts of the Spinward Marches Sector this advocates moving the Imperial Border "a few subsectors to Spinward".
It's policies are in direct opposition to the "Mora Foremost" group that is currently (as at 001-1107) in power.

This political group is formed around the Duke of Regina who is concerned regarding the pressures building up along the frontier and seeks means of alleviating those despite the inconvenience that this may cause the Mora Foremost's supporters. Stability in the form of the ossification espoused by the Mora group is stifling the Marches!

It holds a Mail Contract jointly from the Connors Union and the Province of Ishkis.

The Connors Union holds a Golden Share in the company enabling it to veto any take-over attempts.

The company runs 16 standard type 'R' 400 dTon subsidised merchants giving it an asset value of approximately BCr1.6. It has been slowly refurbishing some staterooms on each vessel to a finer finish enabling it to attract a higher class of passenger.

Dividends of 4.875% of capital invested are paid semi-annually on days 001 and 183 of each year.

When her siblings & Cousins, and their offspring, partners, etc. are included, this Dynasty has links to over 20 members of the Imperial Knightly class spread across the Imperial Controlled Coreward End of the Spinward Marches and reaching into the board-rooms of the Mega-Corporations operating there.

The Dynasty was first founded in the 830's and has always concentrated on accessing the levers of power - mostly from behind the curtain.

Naasirka is the largest supplier of communications equipment to the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service's X-Boat branch.

Naasirka is also the largest manufacturer of robots in the Imperium.
Naasirka's robots rarely use innovative technology, but their aggressive marketing staff has placed more robots than either Makhidkarun or Ling-Standard Products (LSP), Naasirka's two largest competitors.

History
Origin
Naasirka is one of the thirteen Imperial MegaCorporations in operation in 1107. In its earliest form, it was one of the three original Shangarim or Vilani Bureaux.

The name "Naasirka" relates to its legendary role as originating from the old Shugilii Caste of ancient Vland, and translates as something akin to "Feeding/Sustaining the Cosmos"; from "Naa meaning "food" or "sustenance" (or even "panacea"), and "Sirka" meaning "star(s)".

Sternmetal Horizons is one of the thirteen Imperial Megacorporations in operation in 1107.

It has a reputation of using huge, mostly automated mines needing few personnel - who it treats relatively well. The greatest profit is made from mining large areas quickly and efficiently. It has little thought for the landscape, flora or fauna in those areas. Long-term, damage is generally left to recover naturally after they have gone.

Hortalez et Cie has provided the clearing house function that has sucked a huge part of the local freelance Mercenary labour-pool into Divisional and Brigade level deployments on Efate (SM1705) and Ruie (SM1808).

A clan of Droyne from somewhere to spinward of the Spinward Marches.
A group from this clan have appeared at Regina and appear to be communicating with the Duke.

That Droyne have called at Regina is unusual, and they are making headlines as a result!

So this isn't an organisation as such but a whole culture. It spanned the whole of known space and included multiple species in its scope. Several hundred worlds were used, but sparsely.

Which species were "The Ancients" isn't clear. What is clear is that they transcended Imperial technology, and even lost Darrian technology by a clear margin. They constructed marvels of giga-engineering. They created the Vargr Race (Some say to perfect them; others that this was proof that they weren't infallible). They moved worlds.

And then they went. And not quietly. What appears to be a stupendous conflict destroying towns, cities, planets or perhaps even whole systems left none of their members alive. War machines lasted nearly a quarter of a million years before running down on Vland. A single survivor reduced their fledgling civilisation to cowering survivors hiding in crevices. Other mementos of the conflict are periodically discovered and the possibility of the discovery of new ones frightens even the mighty Imperium.

Where items from before the conflict have been located, and understood, their import has been bewildering. Some have no apparent use, others points to differing philosophical basis - Mechanical in one place, biological in another. Even the signatures of the destruction wrought upon the various damaged and destroyed worlds suggest each weapon of destruction was unique.

There are many schools of thought about the Ancients - but the lack of any genetic trace evidence of who they were leaves the whole episode to speculation and myth.

The Ancients Hypothesis
It is entirely possible that the Droyne are the descendants of the Ancients, but it is also possible that they are nothing more than pet-creatures of about the same physical size as their overlords and used by the Ancients as slaves.

This is a producer of cheap goods throughout the Imperium. It much prefers to have low input costs, no competition and little outside regulation. It has a legal team whose sole role is to generate income from confiscation of the benefits accrued by those seeking to compete in its supply chain or markets. It enslaves its workers, captures local governments and backs up its operations with its own clandestine troops, assassins and navy that it denies even exist.

Its marketing group lies, cheats and wholly miss-represents its economic and ecological credentials. Its manufacturing group strips worlds and poisons atmospheres, seas and oceans. Its legal group is a misnomer. Its words do not match its actions except for one thing - "You get what you pay for".

History
In the chaotic environment of the Rule Of Man, Terran Army veteran Captain John Meyers ventured into the newly conquered territories of the First Imperium to seek his fortune. He found it in supplying Terran Confederation forces with contract services: he succeeded because he was a familiar face in an alien (...and potentially hostile) culture. Although Meyers envisioned mining operations for his newly created company, his emphasis soon morphed into a broad spectrum of services and production.

LSP survived the isolation of the Long Night as many independently operating divisions. With the rise of the Third Imperium, LSP's complex ownership structure enabled its many components to re-unite into a true megacorporation.

LSP currently engages in a wide spectrum of activities including (but by no means limited to) manufacture of electronic equipment of all sorts, ground and air vehicles, starships and starship armaments systems, drive systems, power systems, computer systems and software, small arms, and a variety of other items. Concerned to a small degree with banking, insurance, and other activities, LSP maintains mining and manufacturing facilities throughout the Imperium and beyond. To enable this empire to function efficiently, it maintains its own fleet of cargo vessels, but charters many others from Tukera Lines' subsidiaries.

LSP Staff and Officials
The Ling Family are major players in the Ling management, with the Ling and Meyers families controlling 8% of the stock. Hortalez et Cie controls just under 1/4 of the stock and uses that to appoint various Sector and Sub-Sector Board Members. The Regina Sub-Sector Office also controls the corporate assets in the Jewell Sub-Sector.

The Llueztue Pack is a Vargr grouping on Regina (SM1910). It is based in south-east Credo and specialises in Cargo-Handling Jobs in the Starport, goods transport and a few hardy members have ventured into space as ships crew. The Aedzozghaz Pack are an adjacent, rival (or even enemy) pack that also work the starport. The Credo Police view both groups as semi-criminal.

The pack has been in existence for nearly 150 years, but changes leadership and emphasis about every 3-7 years. They are mostly law-abiding with a few more criminal elements. The group formed when Llueztue managed to gain a supervisory role in the starport - and organized his family and followers to exploit any opening in the port staffing rotas - the cargo-terminal expansion on 992 being central to group's establishing a firm position. The pack controls several freight-forwarding firms, some brokerages and even some haulage firms. It has even gained a Far Trader (I-Khu) that it uses for freight transport. (Rumours that the vessel has been used in gun-running to Ruie are unproven.) An attempt to create a ship-maintenance business at the port was prevented by a boycott organised by the existing corporations and the space is now used to maintain heavy grav-vehicles.
