Born in the Corridor Sector and knighted for services in the creation of the Embassy to the newly formed United Followers of Augurgh (UFA) she transferred to the Spinward Marches in 1103 following a messy break-up with her Vilani Husband. Now (1107) the Head of Contact and Liaison for the critical subsector of Regina.

An expert in Diplomacy and renowned Linguist she has the ear of important interests in the Sector. In recent years, she has found working with the Naval Intelligence Office particularly difficult, and has advocated a Forward diplomatic strategy while having to live within one that emphasises the status-quo. It was only her competence in administration, and her pressing forward with Mora's policies despite her personal persuasions, that persuaded the Duchess of Mora to re-appoint her to the role this year.

The Baronry was created in 1000 when Knorbes' interdiction was lifted and was Granted to Admiral Drake Shigaka, 1st Baron Knorbes, following his service on behalf of Emperor Gavin. He died in 1012.

The architecture of the Baronial Palace on Knorbes is consciously modeled on that of the ancient Terran province of Greater East Asia - a location the Admiral knew from his pre-war (Solomani Rim War, 990-1002) assignment as an Imperial Naval Attaché, and one whose traditional buildings were achievable using local materials and technologies. One of his original staff was an Architect from the war-torn planet.

His son, Martin, ruled from 1012 to 1044 as 2nd Baron and Martin's daughter, Ziadd from 1044 to 1091 as 3rd Baron.

Ziadd was married on Capital. Gavin was concieved on Capital but born on Knorbes - Ziadd having gone into labour while descending to the starport!
