Cyril

For a moment he sees an opening and begins swinging his sling...but then the front line closes ranks and the shot is gone. He puts away his sling and takes out his staff once again.

Kainaxarthos

"They know what they're doing. I think. Keep your lantern shining on the snakes, and Taibhse? Come use your torch at the back hallway. I don't want any surprises from the rear." Kain believes that the quartet is up to the challenge, and makes sure to keep an eye on the rear.

Magda

Magda nods to her companions and follows suit, boldly moving to the center of the room and holding her lantern up to give light to the front rank, glad that their number is back up to four. She keeps a targeted spell of slumber ready on her lips.

Under The Zakath Desert
Back To Xambaala?
Still No Idea On Time Or Day

Xenos lets Sik accept the oncoming Snakeman on their side of the door while he casts a spell. The desert Barbarian wastes no time putting his ax into the monstrosity, nearly killing it with one blow. It swings a scimitar back at the brute, but does him no damage in return.

Drest and Akhilleus gang up on the threat in front of them with enough force to kill it outright, the Scout suddenly noticing that the red gem in the pommel of his sword is currently glowing. Using it anyway, he is happy to learn that his new magic short sword works even better against these very monsters. (+2/+4 vs. Reptilian) The Snakeman appears about to say something just before it is brutally killed.

Magda and Taibhse move into the center of the room just as Kian suggests the Shaman watch their backs. While the Witch concentrates her lightsource towards the fighters in front of the group, Taibhse turns to find 4 more Snakemen trying to sneak up through the hallway behind them. As he lights up the area, he is stabbed brutally by a two-handed sword thrusts that penetrates directly through his chest, nearly dropping him to the floor. 10 dam

Sik swings his axe recklessly at the Snakeman , hoping to finish this front off quickly so he can assist the mages cornered from the back.

Melee+ 1/2 move towards the rear attack, assuming the Snakeman he's currently fighting is dead

Magda steps back from the newcomers and sings a quick lullaby, casting sleep centred on the area behind them.

"Time for slumber, sneaky snakes.
Maybe you will never wake."

Cyril mutters an incantation directed at the snakemen attacking the party's rear guard. Ropes of black smoke swirl about, attempting to bind the four attackers.

Hold Person
Hold person victims are frozen still, motionless, paralyzed. This enchantment affects humans, humanoids, and giants. It can be cast at a single opponent or a group of individuals, so long as they are within a 10-foot radius of the spell’s primary target. When cast at a group, as many as four individuals may be affected, beginning with those closest to the primary target. Each target is allowed a sorcery saving throw to resist the spell; if but a single target is selected, its saving throw is made at a −2 penalty. Any targets of 9 HD or greater gain a +4 saving throw bonus. Saving throws are modified by willpower adjustment, if applicable.

Kainaxarthos

Kain has mixed feelings about being correct.

He jumps on the bed between himself and the nearest snakey, hoping to set up a flanking position as he's seen the fighters do.

Sik is nicked by the blade of the snake-man 1 dam, just before he places his ax into the things chest, killing it for good this time. It hisses out unfathomable growls as it falls to its death. (I think he can only do the 1/2 move before/after a single attack, but I don't have time to actually look that up right now, so correct me if thats wrong. )

Xenos runs towards the others behind them, but really only gets himself in the way for now. Akhilleus and Drest do the same, moving towards the fight at the back of the room where the casters are currently very vulnerable.

Kain leaps atop the nearest bed, smacking the snakeman who is stabbing Taibhse, but not before he slices the Shaman a second time, knocking him from the fight for the time being as he falls to the floor unconscious. 6 dam

Then, much to the dismay of Sik, the spell casting duo of Magda and Cyril are able to ensorcell the final four snakemen, who are all suddenly either held by magic or falling fast asleep where they stand.

Kainaxarthos

If nobody stops him, Kain will cut the throats of the nearest two sleeping snakemen. "Tricky bastards."

Akhilleus swings his sword at one of the reptilians.

Broad sword (one-handed) - To hit: [1d20+3]=8+3=11; Dmg: [1d8+4]=6+4=10

I guess it's starting again with one attack, and two attacks next round. The logic being that moving to the other side of the room "resets" it.

Sik nods vigorously in agreement. "I will make them suffer if they don't talk."

Sik takes out his sling and joins Drest in pelting the Snakeman held by bones.

Xenos

With Kain killing the sleeping snakes, Sik attacking one of the held ones and Magda asking for one to interrogate, Xenos decides to go with Drest and assist with killing the snake in the bone forest, also using his sling.

Sling: to-hit [1d20]=5;dmg [1d4+1]=1+1=2

Don't want Drest to be out on his own, just in case.
