Frank
Franks shadows Klaus's team, his intention to support rather than interfere.
He scans the room as they proceed:
Recon (1): [2d6+1]=5+1=6
Frank joins Klaus in firing upon the enemy, choosing a different target than Klaus:
Gauss Rifle: [_2d6+4]=(1+5)=6+4=10, locn [1d8]=5, dmg [_2d6+6]=(4+2)=6+6=12
I haven't used that macro for a while, I think it's still right.

No wanting to set up a friendly fire situation, will take his team on the "next" east-west plant corridor to the north of Prerna's team approach. This will also help to secure the northern exits of this space.

Re: Tarsus para bellum
Dang it I had a best intentioned window of opportunity here (I feel the need to post everyone's events all at once
) but we're waiting on a response from helvorn.
Whilst most humbly acknowledging that folk in glass houses... etc (very much me)
I'll prod him whilst with further embarrassment stating I'll be incommunicado (Don't worry I've got tablets for it...
) this Friday and Saturday due to refighting the battle of Castalla 1813. Will the Anglo Spanish alliance defend the approaches to the future discos and fish and chip shops of the holiday destination of Alicante??? Meanwhile are the French surely on a cultural crusade upholding haute couture, decency and light pavement cafes???

Dzofin howls and fires full automatic with his submachine gun using the purple tip ammunition at the nearby group. He then ducks into the cover of the door sill.Tiglath wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 11:03 pm Dzofin and T'lia
Please see map above
Dzofin chases the humans eastwards. He and T'lia pursue them out of the cargo bay and into what looks to be a much more defensible / higher security area. All the interior doors here are iris valves. The fearful humans continue laterally eastwards until the first of them presses the stud for an iris valve which opens to reveal a narrow corridor leading ever further east. However, as the crew person steps over the threshold they are struck down by an energy weapon.
Roll of 2d6+2:
,
(+2) = 9
Dzofin can see no one about and reckons that the weapons might be mounted above or in the valve itself.
The messy demise of their comrade herds the other two south (showing as pink circles on the map) and they open the large inter quadrant hatch leading to the quadrant below.
Through the now open hatch Dzofin sees a group of three or four human crew types desperately pulling on vacc suits. He also sees another such group further south. They do have energy weapons (high tech laser carbines) laid on the deck nearby but currently seem very much in media res...
One of them sees Dzofin and T'lia and immediately focusses on Dzofin and says "Ohhh, ffffffuuuu...".
T'lia supports her gaussrifle by the pistol grip and stoops to bowl a grenade along the deck towards the enemy group ahead declaring the equivalent of "Frag out" in Gvegh. Dzofin gets understatement but her throw somehow seems a little... uninspired.
Please make a Recon / Tactics roll to influence Initiative.
Please make a combat roll at your discretion.
And if you do...
Please specify the lime green or purple tip ammo...![]()
not sure if there is an automatic fire bonus

Kit
Kit moves his team north and then east at the run making a flanking move on the enemy position.
He finds himself (and his attendant squad) in a massive cargo warehouse with trundling cargo bots and an overhead cargo crane.
Kit sees the 'bots suddenly freeze in place. They then immediately put down their loads and make directly towards his squad. Likewise the overhead crane suspending a whole vertical stack of standard cargo crates begins to move along its overhead rails towards his location.

Prerna
Prerna reacts quickly and commands her scout snipers to engage even as the Rond security force try to bring their weapons to bear.
She targets a vacc suited trooper by the doors and her gauss rifle hums bursts of needles downrange. The trooper raises his carbine and looks relieved as a burst of high velocity needles strike but don't penetrate his ballistic plate. Then he grunts as the next two bursts over penetrate his lower torso under the ballistic plate and blow blood and bone out of the back of his right leg. As he falls the fourth burst punctures the vacc suit sleeve on his left arm.
Baker drops to one knee and puts a burst of DS rounds into his target's left shoulder dropping him to the deck.
Easy advances firing bursts from the shoulder. Her first rounds catch in the SuSAG man's ballistic plate, the second burst sparks chips of armour and makes him wince but his vengeful smile acknowledges his current good fortune as he shoulders his laser carbine... and Easy's last burst collapses his face.
The last man exchanges fire with the rest of the squad incinerating vegetation along the length of the hydroponic garden. However, a grenade detonates behind him and after a glance in that direction he throws his hands up shouting "Alright, alright!!! Enough, I'm done!"

T'lia comments with the admiring Gvegh phrase "I taste the blood". She's so appositely "Kforuzeng" in that moment Dzofin momentarily wonders if they could be somehow, impossibly be related... However, now in the immediate Dzofin knows he needs a new mag, there is a (very) bad smell (of something devouring vacc suit and human both!) and there are still human security troopers active to his south.

T'lia supports her gaussrifle by the pistol grip and stoops to bowl a grenade along the deck towards the enemy group ahead declaring the equivalent of "Frag out" in Gvegh. Dzofin gets understatement but her throw somehow seems a little... uninspired.
Dzofin channels his inner Kforuzeng and pushes the integrally suppressed "factory special" snubmachinegun's fire selector all the way forward to "Rock n' Roll" and walks cyclic fire over the nearest of the group. Starting "on aim" Dzofin puts his first burst centre mass of a security trooper raising a vacc suit to his waist the human seems as if he would scream if his major organs weren't... homogenised by the explosive round. Tracking fire to the next target Dzofin's instinctive second burst catches his original target in the vacc suited leg. The round explodes on the suit's ballistic weave - which begins to melt. With a full sight picture on his next target Dzofin puts a burst centre mass. After the rounds detonate Dzofin can momentarily see through the human's torso. His target simply drops vertically where he stands and Dzofin's second burst on the falling target entirely decapitates him. Dzofin sees his third target is more into his vacc suit that his comrades but seems to watching something to Dzofin's left with horrified incomprehension. Dzofin brings the distracted human's focus back the immediate by gut shooting him. His rounds leave smouldering holes in the vacc suit and then detonate. The human folds forward and screams horribly until his head is struck by a gravitationally polarized blast which smashes his cranium. The same head height blast appears to have, quite definitively, killed the security man's comrade who was in partial cover around the corner

The surrendered trooper immediately complies with all instructions and is entirely compliant. He is taken into custody and secured as a POW.
Prena's visor "dampens" the vislight flare of an explosive detonation some thirty meters (20 1.5m map squares) east at her own eye level. After this she notes the group of four troopers behind those she engaged are (spectacularly) KIA. She aware by both HUD plot and her own observation that Dzofin and T'lia are responsible and positioned north of the bulkhead bordering the next quadrant and that one group of escape pods are surely now under SEMC control.joertexas wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 1:15 am"Get down on your face and stay there," Prerna commands as she advances at a tactical walk.Tiglath wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2025 10:32 pm Prerna

Klaus drives forward maintaining the impetus of the attack. He targets a security trooper putting a burst into the man's vacc suited left leg but the HEAP rounds fail to penetrate! Klaus fires again striking his target's right shoulder and the man grunts and drops. Switching targets Klaus purs two bursts into a trooper aiming a laser carbine at him. His rounds destroy the arm supporting the carbine and Kalus sees a glimpse of shattered bone as his target drops.
Naffo and Venner both hurl their grenades appearing to stun their targets who take no action. One of these SuSAG troopers falls to gauss rifle fire from Col Cross but the other remains active for now if apparently stunned. What are the two red circles just to the south of the Dzofin? Is the red circle to the north of him the guy that got zapped by the laser going through the hatch?
Is the hatch/door open where the south of the two red circles is currently at? I am thinking of cutting through the north part of engineering to avoid the booby-trapped Iris valves.

Apologies for lack of clarity (I should have transferred the legend with the map). The two red/pink dots are the fleeing crew members that Dzofin and T'lia were chasing (the third seems to have run into "active security"...).
There is indeed an open door there (beneath one "dot"/crewman on the map). If you look to the southern end of the wide corridor you're in (opposite the bottom fuel tank) you'll see the door layout repeated (with no one's map counter obscuring it).
You will know that there's lateral east/west transit via that door and route.

Re: Tarsus para bellum
Dzofin leaned his head back and let out a long and undulating howl that echoed through the plastic and steel of the passageways. "The scent of blood is in the air!" the panting Vargr replied in Gvegh. He began reloading as he scanned the area. "My hunt and that of the Fuernuzorg pack have diverged but I am no less of that blood than any." Dzofin's nostrils are flared as he takes in the smells of battle and blood. He turns as Prema appears but his ears flip forward as he recognizes an ally. "We must keep moving while the prey is scattered!"Tiglath wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 3:31 am PrernaThe 'lock is both viable and clear of enemy - four of whom have died very messily and immediately in the vicinity. The last man exchanges fire with the rest of the squad incinerating vegetation along the length of the hydroponic garden. However, a grenade detonates behind him and after a glance in that direction he throws his hands up shouting "Alright, alright!!! Enough, I'm done!"
T'lia aims her rifle south and doesn't break her aim to say "Well met wife and warrior mine. We have been transacting personal business with SuSAG minions".
He moves forward and roughly pushes the two fleeing noncombatants forward down the hallway to the east. "Run like the wolves are going to devour you!" he yells at them while prodding with his bayonet. Dzofin follows them in an attempt to continue flanking the enemy and pressing forward.
