Re: Third Trip's The Charm
One Short Of A Baker's Dozen
Up And Down Inaction
Early Afternoon, Warm Clear
Outside
Meinhardt targets the oncoming red robbed Priest who appears to be controlling of the distant skeletons, suggesting they get his staff from him while also shooting him with a magical dart of energy that seems to get his attention. Before the man has a chance to retaliate, Stobart steps forward to Command him to "Flee". The Priest looks up at the approaching Stobart with a sly grin after the spell doesn't seem to affect him, replying to Stobart with a Command of his own that does work. "Approach!" The Priest pulls out a carved mace and smiles wickedly as Stobart can do nothing to resist him.
The Zombies attacking the others near the chimney continue to press the duo there, and while both Renna and Loyn try to keep their distance, when they attack instead of fleeing, they are both soon accosted by the mass of undead coming at them. They are both able to inflict a wound upon one of the Zombies, but neither is potent enough to drop one. Gyb throws another javelin from above, wounding a third before it too moves into melee range with the Dwarf as the Monk shouts for everyone outside to leave the cave. Crobus climbs down the ledge to the next level, arriving too late to injure a fourth target.
The Zombies slowly retaliate once everyone has attacked, punching with bare boned fists at Loyn and Renna, connecting with three of their attacks. 6/2 dam
Inside
Keya holds his torch up higher, moving backwards as if he may want to leave.
Bugs seems very excited to see Daliedhur approaching, but when isn't he excited by new things. "We met a young human girl in there named Arpad." He points into the room branching off the middle of the hallway. "There are no others." He points to the door at the end of the hallway, not whispering anything he says. "Danger that way, she said." Ithrandir moves alongside his kin. Pimlan hits the cold fireplace again, seeing Arpad looking back at him incredulously. "Back so soon?"
The crazed Gnolls and the skeletons in the next room fight with reckless abandon, the noise from that area almost drowning out any other sounds in the complex. Tammuz seems fine with how things are going so far, glad his soldiers have something they can take out their aggression upon. He stays near Magda where he can watch both parties to see how the battle fares in either direction.

Pimlan dusts off nods his head yes to Arpad and joins Bugs in the hallway. "What's going on Bugs? I informed the others of what we learned."

"A human girl? Here? She just said danger over there" the elf points down the hallway. "And that's it? Did she say anything about why is she here? A prisoner maybe? Did she look miserable? We could get her out of here."

We could get her with us when we get out of here. And we should ask what she means with "danger". Surely she knows more." He asks his companions no more and decides to go into the room and see and ask for himself.

Daliedhur
The elf nods at Ithrandir's questions and boggles some at the sketchy information - he peers around the corner and into the room to look at this girl they have encountered, but keeps watch toward the end of the tunnel, where danger is supposed to come from - "And have you had a chance to investigate this 'danger' the girl speaks about?" - he adds to Bugs.

We’re no match, there’s too many! I resolve to live, what say you? He takes off running away from the approaching zombies, looking for away to get to the others.

Gyb is pleased to see that someone agrees with him. He takes off, running along the ridge to get away.

Keya looks at the jumble but is determined to do his bit. He hears rational conversation, but can't hear it over the din of combat. He stays with the torch.

Bugs
I think you've adequately captured his essence.
Bugs grins in the torch light. "I think the necromancer's bedroom is further down. Trapped, I guess. Or maybe just really icky." When Pim drops back in, he waves. "Heya Pim. I found some friends! Now it's a proper rescue, Arpad."
He looks at Daliedhur. "Ooh. I do like investigating danger. But shouldn't we deal with the zombies, skeletons, necromancer, and slaves back the other way first?"
Bugs whispers to Ithrandir and Daliedhur as they enter the library. "Dibs on the big book."

Daliedhur
The elf seems utterly confused at Bugs' words.
"Dibs? What is the meaning of this 'dibs' word? Is it some form of 'I saw first so now it is mine' jest, as children do?" - he raised an eyebrow - "I am not following. Regardless, have you ascertained this girl to pose no danger to us, and how she has found herself in these caves?"

Bugs
He cocks his head at Daliedhur and tries to slow down. Pointing further down the tunnel away from the gnolls. "Necromancer lives there. But not home now. Maybe trap."
Bugs points back where they came from, towards the noisy gnolls. "Necromancer, zombie, skeleton, slaves that way."
He nods at Arden. "Girl prisoner. Not bad."
"Dibs isn't a jest. Dibs is dibs." Bugs winks.
Did that clear it up?

Daliedhur

"Ah I understand the confusion" - Daliedhur smiled - "You cannot have this... 'Dibs' as you say. When you are in a group you cannot simply claim something. We gather all and decide in the end, if we survive" - he explained.
Happy that was cleared, he turned back to Tammuz - "This way seems to be empty for now, except for a prisoner girl - do you know anything about it? Was she here before?"
