Cilian shrugs,"Not sure... This is my first Amulet of Evil Temple Location."

Viktor admires Serg's convictions. He gives his rangerly friend a reassuring nod of shared bravado before laughing out loud at Cilian's joke. Osric's questions have him curious and he's already pondering what it'll be like. That and just what the bleep they'll have to do when they get there. "I never thought about it being underground, Os. But it makes sense. You guys remember that first place we found in those caves, on that Winston guy's land? Not the old mines that were in there but... that other place. That full o' dead stuff place... Maybe it'll be like that?"

Vik shudders as he looks around for a natural blind or copse of trees where they could hide the cart and picket the horses. "I hope we don't have ta leave 'em too far behind. Screw owing Korec the money, it's way to long to walk! Serg and I could take a quick looksee up ta that hilltop yonder. Maybe we could see something in the direction the amulet's leading us?"

Fireball... good!!

"What's it gonna take?"
"Everything."

You find a spot between 2 boulders that the horse will fit and keep them out of plain site. You park the cart across the opening and tie the horses to the cart.

Serg and vik scramble up the rough stones to the top of the hill to survey the land.

For as far as the eye can see the terrain looks the same as where you stand, waves upon waves of hills of broken rock and boulders.

In case you have not read the history thread this is common knowledge to your players.

The great fiery boulder crashed into the world, turning everything within hundreds of miles to ash. The gods let forth their rage.
Where there were once mountains there would be valleys.
Where there were forests there would be marsh.
Where there were great and powerful cities there would be nothing.

The ground trembled, shook, and heaved, it split open swallowing entire cities then closed again. The face of the world was rearranged.

this strange change in terrain shift from grassy rolling plains to broken rocky hills is most likely a result of the great Turning

Cilian checks the amulet again to make sure they're supposed to head into the broken-up land.

The party continues east.

the trek is difficult as you make your way over broken rocks, inbetween boulders, and up broken hills.

You travel for 4 hours when you finally stop for a break and something to eat.

everyone roll an int check

Cilian calls everyone's attention to what he saw, then examines it closer...

Tub takes a closer, careful look at Cil's crack.

Then check's out what he's calling everyone's attention to.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Well played sir. Glad I had my office door closed when I bust out laughing!

Tub get's closer to see what might be wedged in the crack of the rock. Trying to get a good sense (blocking the sun from hitting it for example) of what it is before having to touch it.

Any way to reach in and grab it... or to remove rocks from around it.

Do you still need INT checks? Or only one of us had to make it?

This is all highly disturbing. Also, Cilian must need new robes...

lot of wear and tear on those robes with all the travel.

you would need to slide something into the crack and try to work whatever it is up.
