As others slow or stop the loud work, Kain redoubles his noisiness so as not to tip off the approaching whatever that we know is coming.

Magda, Kain, Cyril, and Taibhse try to duck behind one of the dismantled beds for cover, wondering what it is that their Scout saw coming for them. Can the three of you give me a d6 roll along with your next actions.
Xenos waits at the bend in the hallway, realizing that the first figure they saw was clearly not alone. He spots a total of three figures now slowly heading into the hallway towards him, getting a better view of the oncoming threats thanks to the light inside the barracks room.

Ok, so basically Akhilleus is now replacing Drest next to the door
I would let them come into the room. They don't know how many we are and in a corridor we can't take advantage of our numbers.

Xenos backs up towards the others, calling forth magic he hopes will stop these slithering foes in their tracks. As the snakemen advance, bones and clawed hands rise up from the hallway floor in an attempt to grab and hold them tight. 2 of these humanoids are able to sidestep the bones and continue towards the group, albeit at a much slower pace. This buys the group a bit more time to coordinate, as the third member of the scaly trio is stuck tightly by the bones and unable to move at all. They advance slowly, armed with long scimitars at the ready, hissing nervously to each other as they approach the doorway.
With the extra time the Death Soldier bought them, the fighters re-assemble together in the front ranks, while the others huddle together behind them for safety, pulling out slings, as if they could use them in such tight confines with their friends directly in front of them.
Actions?
I will give you this first initiative since they were slowed by the spell which gave you time to react.
