Rex - I had assumed you would drink the potion of healing right away, so I need to deduct the 3 points of healing I already gave your character. Go ahead and add it to your inventory for future use. Might work out better if you roll it anyway.

spanningtree - You can initiate an attack whenever you like.

Is the ring of protection the standard variety (both AC and saves)?

Yes it is the standard variety and I've updated the links to reflect that.

Are crits 'roll dmg twice' or is there a table you use? I forget

Critical hits result in doubling your damage. However, if that is less than the maximum damage the weapon can cause, use max damage instead. Hmm, twice in a row, I might have to add something special to that.
