When Ciencia approached William bowed slightly to his wife. "Grand Princess may I present Warlord Ikazuchi “Thunder” Commander of the Teahleikhoi, the Regiment of the Falling Night." He switched to Trokh and bowed a slight bit less to the warlord. "Noble Warlord Ikazuchi may I present my wife Grand Princess Ciencia Iphegenia Guuilbataashullibaa Alkhalikoi." William then turned and bowed to both together, clasped his hands together and recited;

"Imperial heir
Far seeking, Sunburst gleaming
Warrior and life's soul."
She shifted her helmet to her other arm and looked up at the Warlord. “Mighty Warlord, I am humbled by your skill and the valor of your men. My thanks for your aid.”

Roscoe leaned his head closer to Jaelah. “The fight is over and the attackers are dead or captured. Do we go back?”
Jaelah shakes her head. "No, not until the attackers have been removed."

Checking on the access to the cockpit Walt suddenly notices the slight cowled figure of Sazanami “Ripples on the Water” (Yūgure’s Assistant) standing demurely unarmed on the cargo deck of the grav submersible. Yūgure herself climbs aboard the sub from the Flight Deck.
Walt cocks his head a little at the curious scene of the two ladies climbing on.

Then checks his surrendered armored captives, ”Stay down if you know what’s good for you. Pop the suits off…nice and slow. Wouldn't want you getting foolishly brave or anything."

All

Warlord Ikazuchi nods appreciatively at the carefully crafted and delivered haiku. He ponders as his Bannerman Haruna approaches and quietly speaks. Ikazuchi rumbles what might be humour and then delivers:

Sunburst ascendant
Field strewn with cut ripened corn
Meets Falling Night

He bows again to William and more deeply to Ciencia.

Then a deep "thrum" passes through the Bartizan's structure. The now helmetless and prone "Deepers" who were masquerading as Navy troops simultaneously chorus "The Deep One!"

Vyacheslav Kirillovich Ivankov aka "Burgess" responds "The King of the Deep comes to parlay".

With the limited (immediate) sensor coverage due to both the shadow and clutter of the arcology itself and its roots the initial return is of one or a co-located pair of creatures rising from the depths cloaked in what might be their own atmosphere.

(OOC: Just pausing here in case folk want to pitch in but I'll continue on later ;) ).

Walt neurolinks the Ship Roscoe and says:
"You got eyes and sights on this? Send me a drone with my Solar Beam Rifle wrapped in a cloth. I'll cover Ciencia from a different angle."

He ensures his physical, kinetic, and energy shields are all active.

"The readings are unclear, but something--potentially two somethings--are rising from below."

One of the drones will bring the rifle as requested.

Aster will pull Garvin over to stand near William and Ciencia. Bona maintains her position. Metz and Bianca will edge out from behind their protector and get a better look. Roscoe and Jaelah are busy elsewhere.

William returns the bow. "Indeed, that is the truth." He responds to the Warlord.

As the very arcology vibrates William steps closer to Ciencia and activates the shields on his armor. When Garvin begins to explain things to Aster he jumps in. "So are you saying that the deep one is an actual creature that is influencing the politics of the arcology? What are its motivations if you happen to know?"

Garvin rakes fingers through his blond hair and then replies pensively "Well, I wouldn't say 'is role as a crime boss was necessarily anything in the way of specifically political. Maybe more influential on the economy than politics although I suppose there's always a link there... Motivation would be the usual - protect and expand the criminal empire. Although a meeting above the surface is... unprecedented at least as far as I know".

The sensor returns improve as range closes. It would appear that a sea creature of enormous size is rising from the ocean's abyssal layer towards the Bartizan.

All

Whatever is rising from the depths continues its ascent. Visible only as a vast shadow beneath the surface the creature itself remains submerged while suddenly tentacles that look capable of dragging down the starships and small craft frequenting the Bartizan break the surface to gain purchase on the fortress itself and the arcology wall. The massive limbs pulse with a shifting palette of ocean hues matching their tone and texture to wherever they grasp.

A single figure is borne up to the level of the Flight Deck and steps from the tentacle's gentle embrace
dripping a cascade of sea water. The armoured humanoid wears what might be old style carapace armour or a pressure resistant reinforced vacc suit but the whole is stained deep green by colonizing algae and occasional clumps of now lank hanging weed. He is armed with a barbed and serrated spear which he carries like a staff but the observant note that a cable runs from the weapon to a barnacle encrusted housing on his suit's foreaerm. Still trailing water he advances on the Imperial party and removes his helmet. As he unseals his helm liters of water pour forth pooling about his feet. The features revealed could only be described as humanoid. Lank long black hair crowns greenish skin and dead solid black eyes that scan the company as he seems to cough and more water sluices from his body. As this new stream drains he inhales to speak in a voice which could only be described as dragged from a nightmare. "I see The Shore and The Twilight". The tip of his harpoon(?) indicates Colonel Skeet and Yugure "I will parlay with them. Where is my Emperor? I was told he is come and I would address him also. Maybe he visits to review the work of Collace's architects?"

Addressing Walt and eyeing the male Aslan and anyone else obviously armed he adds "You have the look of guards. As you stand atop your mountain are you wise enough to open fire on he who can collapse its very roots?"

Garvin replies "Well, rumour 'as it the King looks... er... well, there you go then!"

Frustratingly Arkar's comm shows his air cab is still several minutes out... ;)
