Third Trip's The Charm
The morning after their return from losing Crabgrass, Haldric and Rida......
Crobeus stands and stretches out his kinks after a sore nights sleep on a too small cot in the common room of the tavern. He prays as he rises, thankful for all the friends who agreed to accompany him back to the dangerous Caves of Chaos early this morning.
I will give everyone a bit to get their sheets adjusted before I kick this one off, but please use this thread to start making plans for the new day.

Re: Third Trip's The Charm
Crobeus - Human Paladin
The paladin rises while an hour of darkness still remains, silently praying to Pholtus for guidance and strength in their upcoming endeavors. He then checks his gear, making sure his armor is strapped tightly before checking the edge of his blade. Finding a few dings and realizing he doesn't have a whetstone, Crobeus quietly leaves the inn, making his way to the smithy.
Once there (assuming that the smith is still asleep- if there, Crobeus will ask him to do it for him), he quickly finds the wheel and puts a new edge on the blade, leaving five silver pieces nearby for the use of the equipment. Satisfied with the new condition, he returns to the inn to see if anyone else is up yet. If the kitchen is open, he'll eat breakfast. If not, he'll eat some of his rations, making sure that he exits the keep as the first rays of light break the eastern horizon.
"I do have three flasks of oil for my lantern. Pholtus prohibits me from using it as a weapon, but he has no such prohibition against giving to others for use in that manner." He will offer up his three flasks to any who wants them before heading to bed.

Stobart
Stobart awakes in the morning feeling more refreshed than he expected. He spends time praying and finds that he has space in his mind for one more spell than usual. He takes this as approval by Fharlanghn of his plans to return with the others to recover his friends and route the bandit threat.
He joins the others in the common room for breakfast. "I have four spells of healing available, who are these best applied to? We should save some healing for the trip itself." he looks around his companions, attempting to assess who needs healing the most.

Renna
Renna will join the paladin at first light, as she had a hard time sleeping with all his early movements.

Daliedhur
As agreed, Daliedhur meets up with the others at sunrise. Cinder sits patiently at his feet.

Re: Third Trip's The Charm
Ithrandir has rested quite well after his long journey. He didn’t have to use any spells the previous day, so all of them are still fresh in his memory. Just in case, he glances through his spellbook before leaving his room. After that, he joins Crobeus for breakfast before heading out to the caves.
Knowing little about the caves beyond what his new companions have mentioned, he has little to contribute when it comes to planning and is simply glad to be a part of the group, for now.

Bugs
Bugs joins the others in breakfast, earlier than desired. After asking Stobart about his loaned longsword, he eats and gets ready to head back out.
He tries to find Meinhardt and ask him about spells. "I've heard that wizards can use magic to open locked things. Is that correct?"

Meinhardt

Responding to Crobeus's offer, grinning, "I will take the flasks. I've alread carried your lantern, so it's a logical next step." To Bugs's question, he ponders for a moment, then answers, "Yes, there is indeed a wizard's spell to open locks, though I am unable to cast such a spell myself."

Pimlan merely replenishes water and rations beyond that he doesn't bother buying much else. "Hmm I forgot I bought some caltrops last time I was here. Maybe we can put them to use this next trip into the caves."

Stobart
After breakfast Stobart broaches the subject of healing: "Looking at our situation over breakfast it seems that we are not quite as badly injured as I had first thought. Perhaps healing for Gyb, Magdal, Crobeus before we go, spread out amongst the clerics in the group?"

Bugs
"Ah, that's too bad" He responds to Meinhardt with a sad look. "My box is probably poisoned and I don't have the key. At least it's safe for now."
Bugs looks like he's had a thought and of course he shares it. "Hey. Do you think the halflings show up in town? Maybe even here, watching?" He starts looking around the room for halflings hiding under tables and in the rafters.
"So what's the plan here, boss?" He looks around the group, trying to assess who he should direct the question to.

Re: Third Trip's The Charm
I don't know about the rest of you, but I think Crobeus basically took over as the new leader, since this trip is basically his idea.
Re: Third Trip's The Charm
Magdal
Magdal rises early as was her custom. Ma would have never let her sleep late and she wasn't about to start now just because Ma wasn't around. She ate what little breakfast she could afford, adventuring sure drained your coin purse, when she thought it was supposed to be the other way round. She would have preferred to return home but she could hardly do that when companions were still out there some where. So she readied her gear and was prepared to set out, her wounds still aching from the previous expedition. She heard Stobart mention her name for healing, but offered no comment. It wasn't her place to request such when there were others in need.
