Re: (15) The One-Eyed Cat (Tavern)
At some point well after the others have departed for the caves in the morning, the one armed Half-Elf Crabgrass stumbles into the tavern looking for something to eat. He appears to have been put through the proverbial ringer, making it difficult to tell where he may have slept last night. Possibly in a back alley somewhere.
Wilf sees him enter and looks a bit puzzled.
"Heya! Weren't you with that new group heading back and forth from the caves? If so, I got some bad news on your timing. Ya just missed their not so triumphant return......back to the caves to save the folks they abandoned out there yesterday."

Throat hoarse and parched and neck still tingling from an icy touch, the cleric-mage asks for a drink, some bread and some privacy.
He has seen and heard too much and would probably only blabber incoherent on the stories he would tell. Those of a religious persuasion might just think he waffles in unknown tongues or prays through his 'new age' divine blessed magics. "Red priests, fat merchants, zombie factory, smugglers den. Catbirds, Copper Hatchling and Cooper's Daughter." They could just as easily be the names of favoured stallions in the 2.10 at Saltmarsh.
He pays his fayre in coppers and seeks his bunk room. Too fatigued and injured to fellowship, he needs proper rest and a day of prayerful study to recover.

Will rise early, greeting Wilf.
He follows up the whispered hushes and rumours spoken behind his back as he arrived in the tavern.
"Sadly yes, some of these things are true.
Of one, a particularly sad concern. I should report that matter to the Keep authorities and give my written affidavit testimonial." he says, referring to comments overheard regarding the rumours of Dubricus death.
He will breakfast in a quiet corner; solemn and wondering if his comrades, the stable girl and how Asham fares.

"It's a shame about Dubricus. Folks were finally warming up to the guy after he started teaching the kiddos here."
"If yer looking for someone to report that to officially, that would be Devereau, our Castellan. He's usually in the Fortress, the big building at the back of the Keep. You can get through the garden easy enough, but you will be stopped and questioned before you get to see the boss here. Don't worry though, he is and always has been a fair man to deal with."

Thanks Wilf. He has a thought to ask about Tella but thinks better of it.
He takes his leave to go to the Castellan.
