Brick
"Get behind us!"
Brick moves to cover the exit the hobgoblins took and to try and determine where they went.

Goran, Halfling, 16/16
Goran moves away from his handiwork and the door through which the hobgoblins came
drops his swords and readies his short bow, loosing arrows at any hibgoblin that enters.

Vennar
Vennar will keep pressing Scarface trying to not let him escape, but clearly has troubles with the tables.

Re: Sneaking into the Ruined Temple
As soon as he realizes the proverbial jig is up (or maybe even before that), the unseen Mortar kisses his teeth loudly at the fleeing pony, urging it to race through the open streets at top speed, hoping to put some distance between the wagon and the pursuing guards. He does not whip the pony along the way, just in case.
Keeping his eyes trained for any groups of squatters or vagabonds lining the streets he passes, if this opportunity should present itself, Mortar will call out in vile blackspeach as he tosses a few coins from his purse to jingle along the cobblestones as they pass. "Free Coins! Free coins for the poor!" He hopes this will attract temporary hazards out in the open street to give the guards chasing him something else to navigate around, hopefully slowing them down further.
Guessing the rest of his crew will be heading in the same general direction as he, Mortar guides the pony along the wider streets, watching closely for the others who he arrived here with. If he makes no such connections, he continues along the path of least resistance, always heading in the direction of their eventual destination.
The path in red would be his choice of streets to take along the way, if possible, building up as much speed as he can along the wider streets.

Just for my understanding, we are splitting up?

[Olleg, Dwarf, 31/33]
Loathe to let any hobgoblins escape and trusting the rest of the party to calm and free the slave girl, Olleg maneuvers around the table and out the rear door of the hovel. Once in the yard, he will take a moment to assess the area and see which way the hobgoblins fled.

Sneaking in Highport:
Escaping with the wagon.
Mortar whizzes and bangs through the city streets. Tossing all care and many of his silver coins to the wind, he calls out in each of his polyglot tongues that "Free cash to the poor and needy" is literally raining down upon the pavements. The strange sight of a driverless wagon with caged captives rushing full pelt and leaving a trail of chinking silver pieces in its wake is quite bizarre. Despite a chasing pack of armoured guards trying to halt the runaway wagon, those 'poor and needy' living upon the pavements soon rush to grab what blessings they can. For each coin dropped, half a dozen grasping hands reach for it and soon the throng is too numerous for the guards to breach.
Horns though were sounded and they do echo at intervals as the wagon hurries along. This means Mortar cannot stop to ditch the wagon. His pack contains items relevant to his vocation; inks, books, candles; not labourers tools such as crowbar or hammers. Jacopo (the priest of Boash you spoke with) and Rogger try to bash their shackles into the lock but cannot make more than scratch marks upon the solidly built frame.
The wagon speeds in, Mortar showcasing his animal handling, wagoneering and even drifting the wagon in a skiddy arc around the left hand bend to curve in the lee of the upper city ramparts. The random rolls represent a guard group at each junction along the way, thus four junctions on towards your objective, a group of figures stretch across the road to halt the seemingly runaway wagon.
Actions for Mortar on hold for a moment. [

Sneaking in Highport.
Hobgoblin Hovel.
4.40am.
The raid on the Hobgoblins is a success. Fleeing out of the interior bloodbath, Scarface and Babe dodge away from Vennar and Brick who chase them. However they run straight into the two rogues outside. A great club embedded with obsidian razor blades slices through the air and Babe's skull is splintered into shards coated in grey brain matter and greasy curls of hair. -14hp She is dead before making another step.
Scarface clambers over railings and walls in an effort to escape. Despite his best efforts, Goran's volley of arrows ping harmlessly off the walls at his heel. He takes a last look at his attackers, a deep stare back towards those in the yard, then with another stride he is gone from view. Olleg assesses the scene, determining that pursuit is folly. Three dead Hobgoblins lie upon the ground.
Those inside the hovel do a quick search and calm the terrified slave who names herself as Esther. She wears a studded leather collar, tightly drawn around her neck and padlocked to a leash which marks her as a slave. She says she was 'sold on' after displeasing her masters, having spent time in domestic servitude. She is clearly traumatised by the recent events, not just the Hobgoblins gambling over her but your own bloodthirsty rampage. Galadria can counsel here most effectively, speaking to her needs and fears.
can Galadria add a Wisdom check in your next post please as you deal with her.
As far as questioning her about the Slave-Lord ruins and providing any relevant or useful information, that will be determined by the check result. Decide what you wish to do with her going forward.
Two decapitated Hobgoblins leak pools of blood upon the floor. Their heads unceremoniously kicked into corners. Coins, meagre amounts of silver and coppers sprawl underfoot from the overturned table.
Hobgoblin silver coins [5d20]=55. +55sp can be picked up and added to party trove.
The piggy dice are carved figures made from boar tusks. They might be worth as much as the coins collected. Anyone poking inside the crates that are stacked by the walls will find only basic wares; sacks of cement or flour, rusted toolkits, labourers dungarees and hobnail boots, though one nailed crate contains several sheepskin lined cloaks and fancy silk blousons bearing higher marquee names. A bazaar stall might make a good mark up on these with a little effort put into selling them.
Of the Hobgoblin gang themselves, each wears a leather gambeson and wields a standard looking weapon; a sword, an axe, curve bladed daggers. Dicey fought with a scimitar that has a fancy hilt shaped as a seahorse. Bodies can be frisked but it seems all coins were wagered this morning upon the table.
Edel & Durrant can give the all clear regarding any immediate interventions of your sneaking through this alley and report the lay of the land.
Actions everybody. any last actions or comment regarding the hovel or hobgoblins. Decide between you regarding Esther.

Fawkes, for scoring the first combat critical, you can take +50xp bonus.Critical Hits: if you roll a natural and unmodified 20 on a 1d20 To Hit, then your attack damage will score double the amount of damage that you rolled.

Re: Sneaking into the Ruined Temple
Fawkes
Sighs as one Hobgoblin gets away.
He will give a casual search of the bodies in the yard, adding the hand axe that was thrown at him to his own arsenal. He eyes a sheepskin cloak too, if only for warmth.
As to the slave Esther, he will shrug. His first thought would be to suppress any thoughts of her accompanying us on the secret mission as she might compromise us needlessly. But then, just setting her free might not be so good either. In the Highport background, we know that freed slaves were often hunted outside the city. She might fear we are such hunters ourselves. Do we take her to the boat now? Tell her hide in the dinghy and wait our return?
Reloading his crossbow and chatting to the mages about what they have seen of the area ahead seems a good way to avoid voting on her fate. "Can you send the owl ahead again? It gave some good intelligence. Might be useful again." he asks of Edel

Re: Sneaking into the Ruined Temple
Goran, Halfling
Goran retrieves his short swords and checks the condition of the arrows he loosed but finds them beyond repair.
He searches the nearby corpses and upon seeing the slavegirl in a locked collar, searches the bodies for a key in particular.
The (presumably lightweight) silk blousons he will stash in a small sack that he then tucks into his backpack.
Turning to Galadria, he says "See if she would like me to try to unlock that leash and collar?"
Turning to Fawkes and clicking his tongue he signs something in Thieves Cant.
Before leaving the hovel he will pause, listen intently, and pull his hood up and cloak tight before proceeding as quietly as possible.

With a look at the girl, he added - "Setting the girl free in this place will almost be a death sentence - even if where we are headed will pose its own dangers, she should come with us until we can guarantee her safe passage out of here" - he added - "At the end of the day it is her - Esther's choice, no?"
With a nod at Durrant, Edel rejoins the others, reporting their findings - "The way ahead seems relatively clear if we make haste"
"I will, once we decide to move - I am limited in my actions when scouting through the eyes of Pallas" - he explained.

Durrant Winterflame
Now that the spectre of his imminent death has been pushed back temporarily due to the dispatching of the hobgoblins, Durrant will enter the hovel. "I don't know what her safest option is- letting Esther go her own way or having her accompany us. Death lurks around every corner in this place. What say you, Esther?
If you wish to accompany us, we will do our best to protect you, but make no mistake- where we are headed is very dangerous. We can't yet tell you where exactly we are headed in case you choose not to travel with us. Can't risk your being captured again and having the information pulled from you, can we?

Frustrated that a hobgoblin managed to escape, Olleg swears loudly in dwarven and heads back into the hovel to assist with the search. Finding the piggy dice to be an interesting curio, he pockets them for later use or sale. Joining the discussion over Esther he says, "We'll have a hard enough time protecting all our finger waggling magicians without an extra body to worry about. And Brick is right, she won't be safe with us."
Walking over to the door of the hovel and readying his gear, Olleg states, "We need to get moving quickly, regardless. Time is our enemy." While waiting for the rest of the party, he turns to Goran and quietly asks, "Got anything worth drinking in that pack of yours, master thief?"

With a grin Goran fetches a bottle from his pack and presses it into the dwarf's hand,
saying quietly, "Cask strength."

Returning the halfling's grin, Olleg taps the side of his nose twice before taking a hearty quaff of the whiskey. He then passes the bottle back to Goran, nodding appreciatively.

If he sees Goran struggle, he will offer to try his own hand. "Keep still love, I can undo this collar if you need."
Once we decide to move out, he does his allocated duty and keeps alert for anything coming from the park, beasties in the trees jumping us, Hobgoblin gangs or patrols arriving. He is keen to hurry along and get inside the ruin before sunrise.
