Seeking Deadbeat (Baby Blue and El Cid}

He looks over at BB, "So I'm going to sit in with Ace for some meet he has around "last call", roughly 2am. Its something he needs moral support for and plans to drink before it. Which should make him more pliable afterwards. I figure the team can grab him as he's leaving."

Baby Blue nods. "Yeah, alright. We should probably head back home. And when we get there, I'd appreciate if you could duck into my room with me for a second to bandage my back properly. I'd like Preacher's number too. Would like to give him a quick call on the bus to check in on Pandora."

[Tay-Dor]

[El Cid]

El Cid nods. "Sounds like a plan. Here's Preacher's number." He rattles off the digits.

If they get on the bus without mishap, Baby Blue will give Preacher a call.

The line rings twice, then the screen fills with a ‘Please wait one moment’ message, accompanied by some calming hymnal music. The screen remains for a few seconds. Baby Blue suspects that like Headstone, the Preacher may be a bit paranoid.

When the Preacher knows that nothing odd is happening with the data stream, the screen switches to camera mode, showing Preacher still wearing clothing reminiscent of an 1800's revival preacher though without the wide brimmed hat.

"The Lord's blessings upon you, my child. How may I help you?"

"Hey Preacher, it's Baby Blue," says Baby Blue. "Just wanted to check in and see how Pandora is doing."

“Her condition is stable,” Preacher says, “But largely unchanged. It’s only been a few hours, my child. I will call you if she wakes up again, or if there is any major change.”

“I did not mean to belittle your concern, my child,” Preacher says. “But healing takes time. God has stabilized her for now. Let her rest. All signs indicates that she would have needed that even had she not found trouble in the Matrix. Go with God, my child.”
