Turn 2, Day 1 - A Calamity? Probably Not!
30 minutes have passed since arrival.
TURN
There is a hubbub of conversation as the locals are momentarily soothed. Having several fresh voices reassure them seemed to lighten the mood. "That's right," Radomir said tentatively, "the priests are very skilled at what they do. We've never had a problem like this before in my memory, I'm sure everyone will be out by lunch."
Joanna brightened. "Our best and brightest are in there, with the great Lady Constance to boot. No doubt it'll be sorted as soon as you like. Anyway, doesn't look like there's much we can do out here. Why don't I drop you home, Laban?"
"No way am I going back there without Doris.
She was going to ask the Priests to do something about those things in the basement." he sniffled. Joanna hesitated for a moment.
"Well, you're welcome to join me in the smithy for a bit then, till your nerves are settled."
"Speaking of," said Micah, "I shouldn't really be leaving the store unattended either. Don't think I even locked the door on my way up here. Oh!" she pressed her freshly cleaned glasses up the bridge of her nose, her gaze sweeping over each of the Hallooers in turn. "Why don't we have a little celebration at the Lost Ox Inn this evening? I'm sure we can rustle up a proper cake with full cream and everything." She gave Nob's shoulder a good natured squeeze, the corners of her eyes crinkling into a smile.
Naomi pressed her fists into her lower back with a crack, and winced in pain. "I'm telling you. No good will come of any of this. It's a bad omen." she muttered to herself, but the excitement of the morning was slowly waning, and no one was listening to her now. In drips and drabs, people began to slowly meander back to their establishments, not wanting to miss a day of trade if things would likely clear up soon. There was still an air of concern, but with an optimistic bent.
Omar stayed as Naomi looked on for a while. He was rapping away on the barrier with the Ragdolls, but his expression showed deep down, Omar knew it was likely a fruitless endeavour. Perhaps he would be back in his alchemical lab soon.
"Wonder if the Witch of the Gloam Wood cursed the Hollow." he said to Betty, who absolutely delighted in the possibility. There was always one or two fresh stories floating around about the Woman of Ruby.
Time progresses. I usually do 10 minutes most of the time, but I think scouting the area and calming down locals would of taken a wee bit longer.
The party has learned a few more rumours
You are welcome to accept, pass on or delay the celebration, which will tentatively happen this in-game evening.
Ragged Hollow is now open for you to explore as you wish. A map will be shared shortly. Most local folk will be returning to their shops, barring Omar for the time being. You might be able to fit in a spot of shopping, although this certainly won't be your only opportunity.
From my understanding the current consensus is to seek out Acolyte James since you are aware of his recent whereabouts.
