Siouxsie: casts enhanced Cure Serious Wounds [1d11+6]=8+6=14 upon Qleeec

Siouxsie: casts enhanced Cure Light Wounds [1d4+4]=1+4=5 upon Frannie

Siouxsie can minister her two healing spells before we camp and then pray at an assumed dawn time to appropriate her next allocations of druidic mysteries.

Camping
Late Afternoon of Godsday, 18th day of Planting, 597
13th day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 33/63) (Glowing Sword)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 27/65, Armor 13/26) (Glowing Sword)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 42/53)
Boff (AC 5, HP 50/61) (Continual Light Lantern)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 47/48)
Garrant (AC 3, HP 50/50, Armor 2/8)
Frannie (AC 4, HP 17/26)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 20/21, Armor 8/8) (Glowing Dagger)
Hex (AC 0, HP 21/27, Armor 2/8) (Staff with Continual Light Coin)

Welcome back Spearmint!

Frannie gives herself a CLW as does Siouxsie. And then Siouxsie gives a Cure Serious Wounds to Qleceec. After the healing the group decides to rest in the corridor.

The group uses the normal watch order (1) Garrant, Hex, and Boff; (2) Qleceec, Nah, and Raffi; (3) Siouxsie, Frannie and Androgost

The evening is uneventful other than the entire remains of the bubble being absorbed into the ground and walls.

If there are remaining spells, please cast them in the next post and get your new spells set.

Any actions before you all move deeper into the Highway.

Boff will switch in for a shift of watch if needed as he does not need to recover spells or anything of that nature.

Hex and Raffi will take their respective watches.

Where are we with our proximity to this creature that is causing the quakes do we think? Hex asks the others.

Garrant

Garrant casts his last healing spell on Androgost before he retires:

CLW: [1d6+2]=1+2=3

In the morning the prays and studies and is ready to move on.

He offers another infravision spell to Qleceec.

The Glowing River
Late Afternoon of Godsday, 19th day of Planting, 597
14th day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 34/63) (Glowing Sword, Infravision)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 31/65, Armor 14/26) (Glowing Sword)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 43/53)
Boff (AC 5, HP 51/61) (Continual Light Lantern)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 48/48)
Garrant (AC 3, HP 50/50, Armor 2/8)
Frannie (AC 4, HP 18/26)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8) (Glowing Dagger)
Hex (AC 0, HP 22/27, Armor 2/8) (Staff with Continual Light Coin)

The adventuring group makes it through the night without any additional encounters and then continues on for a few hours traveling down the Highway until the tunnel starts to widen. As the tunnel widens to about 20-25' the lead members notice that there is a fair amount of sand on the ground and there are some wet splotches that is glowing with a dim light pink glow. The next thing the group notices is that deeper pink glow filling the area ahead that allows the group to see a slow moving river that crosses the Highway at an approximately right angle. The water is 30' wide and the clearly the source of the pink glow. The water is flowing from the groups right to left. There is evidence a wooden bridge that crossed these waters, but it is burnt with almost nothing remaining. Growing on both banks are multiple varieties of large mushrooms, even a few as large as 6' in height, but these would require wading into the slow moving water to investigate.

Nah Olos looks to the sides to see if he could climb up and over to the other side with a rope.

Since the water is crossing the passageway you would either need to climb on the roof, fly, sail, or swim across before you could set-up a rope of the other side. You would not be able to climb over without magical help.

Hex ponders. Are we sure this is the only way forwards? We haven’t missed any secret tunnels or ways of crossing?

Raffi sets about tapping the walls and floor just along the way we travelled, and around the river side, looking for signs of egress and secret doorways.

Hex shrugs. I can fly across the river. But I can only change my shape once per spell and I only have that spell memorised once today. If this is a passage that is used often, either there is a mundane way to cross we haven’t yet discovered or whomever uses it frequently has access to constant supernatural abilities.

Siouxsie

Will check on the water, investigating how pure and drinkable it is and take some inspection of the fungi. Masking herself up so as not to breathe in spores or contaminants.

Do any of the fungi look like typical 'Shriekers' or Violet Fungi plant types?

The Glowing River
Late Afternoon of Godsday, 19th day of Planting, 597
14th day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 34/63) (Glowing Sword, Infravision)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 31/65, Armor 14/26) (Glowing Sword)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 43/53)
Boff (AC 5, HP 51/61) (Continual Light Lantern)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 48/48)
Garrant (AC 3, HP 50/50, Armor 2/8)
Frannie (AC 4, HP 18/26)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8) (Glowing Dagger)
Hex (AC 0, HP 22/27, Armor 2/8) (Staff with Continual Light Coin)

Nah Olos looks but cannot find a path to cross the water by climbing the walls. The wall lead perpendicular to crossing, at least within the range of the groups light source.

Raffi begins looking for secret doors, but does not immediately find any.

Boff talks to Hex about just use some magic to get us across and Hex says the he could fly over, but there must be a mundane way across (other than the burned down bridge)

Siouxsie uses some cloth to cover her face and checks the water and does not think that the water is pure at all, given that it glows pink. She does not identify any host fungi and in fact believes that most of the fungi would be edible. If farmed this could a good food source. The stems of the mushrooms vary from several inches in height to about 6' tall in the water, suggesting that the water level was not always this high. After the examination of the various species, she notices that she has almost a light pink film on her hands. It is slight lighter than the color of glowing water and but does not glow.

Hex says Siouxsie, are there any berry producers among the foliage here? A few goodberry spells could really help with healing if there are!

The little wizard will try and detect any sliding or shifting walls or floors, around the area near the river and the fallen bridge.

Raffi will look for any obvious passing, foot or claw prints etc. any signs of things that were killed here, the bones of animals or humanoids hidden in amongst the plant life?

Boff wishes he could walk on water but knows well the item he has only allows underwater breathing.
