T'lia sends "The big land train that looks like a circus wagon is the source - looks like it's owned by a troubadour". After a moment's pause she asks Prerna "Do you have wandering minstrels in the Sword Worlds or do the locals eat them?"

Prerna can see the top of the vehicle herself and now also sees it indicated on her battlemap HUD. Due to other burning or abandoned vehicles She's going to need to close in to get LOS (fortunately she has the "officer rig" grav belt on hand).

This would mean going in solo because the belt won't carry another heavily armed and armoured SEMC trooper - but it might carry someone Prerna's size who is wearing less gear...

Prerna sends a mental laugh to her wife. "We only eat the cute ones, darling."

Prerna stands and keys her comm. "Recon team is relocating for L-O-S on the psionic source." She indicates the location on the battle map. Then, she turns to the helpful Vargr. "What's your name, Foeloel?"

Kit looks up from console realizing that he has been working on those back channel communications to long and he has an active conflict here. He calls to the leads to "Perform an ammo check and report back.", he is worried that Sgt. Gaughan will over commit the lads and they will run dry, but he does not reverse the advancement order - yet.

Command channel: "When the location is confirmed I want it marked on the battle map. Units stand by for orders regarding the target, do not close unless ordered."

He turns to Voss: "Do we have enough ammo left for a missile and IFV attack on the target. I'd like it taken out as quickly as possible, preferably at a distance."

Dzofin stands up as the human does so. He looks at her and sniffs in her particular scent to mark her for future reference. His ears perk up and rotate forward while his tail comes up and wags. He is showing high charisma but no immediate aggression as she is not part of his pack. "I am Dzofin, pleased to meet you human. What might your name be?

Dzofin stands up as the human does so. He looks at her and sniffs in her particular scent to mark her for future reference. His ears perk up and rotate forward while his tail comes up and wags. He is showing high charisma but no immediate aggression as she is not part of his pack. "I am Dzofin, pleased to meet you human. What might your name be?

"I am Major Prernanayaratl, or Prerna," Prerna taps her helmet. "I am awaiting orders to relocate my recon team."

We will need an infantry sweep to eliminate the threat. Recommend Major Nayar's Recon Snipers and WO Ingridsdottir's Drone Techs perform the assault. I will offer direct tactical input".

Gaughan replies after a pause "Sir, the lads have a couple of mags each plus their sidearms and the enemy are running not fighting. An' sure the ground's covered with AKs. All of them never fired an' just dropped the once. If we can keep the pressure on we'll push them through the clutter of all these wrecks and out into the veldt. The air power broke them. We're just hurrying them along but if we stop and they gather their wits they've a ready made defensive position here".

He adds "Sir the reserve ammo Miss East brought up is with the mortarmen. If they can get it forward we'll not run dry".

(OOC: Since the mortars currently have no target due to hostages in the HQ / Gaughan's line being in contact with the enemy. This might be an option. The mortar section also has its own transport in the form of their battered air/raft.

Kit's own IFV is on the left (east) flank currently hunting individual routers with its rapid pulse plasma gun...).

The rank is not inconsequential in human terms while the name reminds him of the human allies of the Out World Coalition. The psionic ones or at least the nobles and the name is likely a noble one given the ending of 'atl'. Perhaps this one was somehow connected with the Zhodani marked starfighters? He nods in human fashion and then snaps his jaws closed in acknowledgment. Dzofin tilts his head to the side and considers the small human female. "You must be a powerful leader. With the enemy breaking and running there is much prestige to be gained by snapping at their heels. Use your instincts and initiative and move your team now. I am sure your orders must include some measure of operational flexibility, no?"

Unzipping his jacket he exposed a military grade harness with a large D ring in the middle of the chest. "My harness is rated for low altitude parachuting and rapid grav descent." He tugged the D ring and wagged his tail. "It will bear me. Let us set our teeth into their Achilles and drag them down for the kill!"

Dzofin grinned as well showing a nice set of polished, white canines. He also snapped his jaws in agreement. Unzipping his jacket he exposed a military grade harness with a large D ring in the middle of the chest. "My harness is rated for low altitude parachuting and rapid grav descent." He tugged the D ring and wagged his tail. "It will bear me. Let us set our teeth into their Achilles and drag them down for the kill!"

She keys her comm, adding her wife to the channel. "Recon team, move with me. T'Lia, I'm moving the team." She highlights her destination, leaving the exact setup locations to her team's discretion.

Voss replies "Well, it's just WO Ingridsdottir and her minder "Camp Freddie" there in the Valley at the moment - so I believe that's who she wants, sir. Er... it does seem a slightly odd request but I'm given to understand Miss East holds some sort of military rank... albeit in an advisory capacity... so she might be able to make a reliable appreciation on the ground. The Scuttlebutt says Miss Ingridsdottir can certainly shoot, sir".

He adds "We could ask Leftenant Ghosal to increase his pressure from the south... if he can, sir".

Cutlass and pistol in hand Beau rallies the SpecFor fireteam with his Daibei accent "Gentlemen and Ladies, we are advancing on the enemy HQ. There are people in our way but we will not be dismayed! Form echelon right and left on me. If you have a sidearm I'd favour it and, in an exception to General Orders, harsh language is hereby authourised. 'Ooorah!!!" He slams down the visor on his combat armour and plunges into the stream of routers most of whom, quite sensibly, get out of his way.

Meanwhile Voss updates Frank on another real time issue. "Sir, the Aslan Intruder Transport has entered the atmosphere. They are broadcasting their location, attempting no EW and transmitting pictures of their massive Teahleikhoi banner on all channels which... oddly... serves as jamming. Now launching missiles versus atmospheric fighters while deploying their own, launching loitering ordnance. Another salvo of missiles at Evander. Half that spread are stealth anti radiation missiles the other half are higher speed decoys. Fek me their EW ops are good! I think this might be the most carefully under played EW hand I've ever seen! Dirtside anti air engaging - because they know they are target locked and have no option... annnd that was the ship's main battery. Fek my old boots - fusion guns! Anti air is glass. Nuclear missiles re-entering from orbit launched from the Rond facility and deep space as a collective and coordinated volley. Most are being shot down by the ship's laser turrets - those turrets are firing independently! Some missiles are through! They... bounced... broke up on contact with the hull. It appears that the Aslan have a nuclear damper aboard. The Intruder Transport is on a landing vector to Evander could be that simply increases the raking damage of their fusion batteries but could also be a run with deadfall ordnance... no! Sub craft launch... of... an armoured battle group! I see grav tanks an lots of IFVs some indirect MLRS... Correction overwhelming direct fire support - they're not supposed to use them like that! Formation landing in cover supported by the grav tanks - that at least follows some military doctrine.. wait one... Lead IFV accelerates dropping... count seven armoured Aslan right into the central SuSAG infantry position! Massive personal banner illuminated. Fek my old footwear - balls like fekkin' brass clackers! Sir, if you want to know where Warlord Ikazuchi, Commander of the Teahleikhoi Regiment is I've got a pretty good idea!" Voss squints at a grainy overfocussed image coloured only by the actinic glare of plasma on a blade "Ohhh, for fekkksakes!!! Sir, I've an idea your call might go to voicemail just about now though...".
