Wilderness Hex Daily Calendar Project

#1 Post by thirdkingdom »

Howdy! The prelaunch page for my newest Kickstarter is live. It's going to be a 2025 Daily Hex Calendar, along the lines of the "Word of the Day" or "Joke of the Day" calendar, except each day will feature a single unique hex with some sort of hook, encounter, or feature of interest. It's designed to be system neutral. In addition to the calendar I'm also publishing a spiral bound, 380-page hex workbook, with 365 blank hexes and room on each page for notes and encounters. The workbook will be designed to be used in conjunction with the calendar or as a stand-alone workbook, either for Referees to use in creating a world or players to use while mapping the world.

The project should go live towards the end of next week; all I'm waiting on right now are some sample proofs of the spiral bound book.

The Wilderness Hex-A-Day 2025 Calendar project is now live, raising funds for a daily hex calendar and hex workbook. Each day on the calendar will have a different hex and hook to spark the imagination. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/th ... d-workbook

You know, I used to publish all my stuff in A4 format -- I'm getting older, and it let's me print the maps and such with greater detail/clarity, but two things convinced me to switch over to A5:
*I got *so much* pushback from OSE peeps about not conforming to A5.
*Media mail prices rose by nearly a dollar. At A5 I can ship 1st class at about half the price of media mail for the same weight. For zines, at least.

I asked the A4/A5 question once, but don't think I ever "pushed" about getting your products in A5... but I am one of the many that strongly prefer it to A4.

Hah! No, I'm not referring to you.
