Re: Quest #47 "The Eyes Have It"
Someone forgot to move this here.
On skill checks, you are trying to roll below your stat.
The Ethereal Marketplace
Zuhma's House
Standing there in his long rubber boots, Percy maintains a look of innocence, despite not telling you exactly what you were dropping into. Fortunately, most are able maintain some semblance of agility, with only the lithe Feanol falling face first into the smelly slop that covers her completely, though everyone's boots and slippers alike are now soaked and covered in grey funk. Theo pulls out his glowing sword to use as the groups only light source as of yet.
The constant plopping sound of water droplets falling into the liquid echoes throughout this bricked entry chamber, the sewer tunnel heading off in two different directions, besides the pipe you just slid out of that leads back up into the Marketplace.
Once Feanol wipes the chunks off and everyone has a chance to adjust to the horrid stench, standing in the soiled water well above their ankles, Percy speaks into his shell again.
"We need to be quiet in here until we get closer to Garzanthanon's hideout. The crime boss knows plenty of factions are after his organization, so they keep any dangerous monsters that stumble in here around to scare off people who might try to intrude. You know.......like us."
Once he finishes, your dark guide starts towards one direction but only walks a few feet before stopping suddenly and holding a finger to his lips in the universal sign of STHU. The group starts to hear sloppy suction noises coming from deeper down the tunnel, and it seems to be getting louder.
Actions?
I could use a marching slogging order here.

After cleaning off as best she can will try to find her way to the middle of the pack. She is already being quiet when their guide signals to them, but she stops moving forward and listens.

Alordan wills his sword to illuminate to help folks see what's about to eat them.

Torbath
"Maag, we do have several that cannot see a lick without light."
For the marching order how about
Alordan & Maag
Torbath & Aliendron
Theo & Feanol
If one of two lead fighters get banged up one can swap with Theo.
Feanol if you rather swap places we can do that as well.

Under The Ethereal Marketplace
Zuhma's Sewer Quest
Smelly, Humid
Percy shakes his little head, staring down the tunnel while remaining in front of his much larger companions, though unable to guess what might be making such a noise.
As Alordan adds his sword to their growing light, Maag abruptly calls for darkness instead, to which Torbath reminds him of the groups composition.
Andron listens intently to the slurping suction noise, unable to come up with any idea what it might be coming from. Looking down the brick tunnel, nothing but an empty passage with darkness beyond can be seen by the party's light sources, though the noise continues to get louder.

Re: Quest #47 "The Eyes Have It"
Back at ranger school pimply teenager Theo had heard the beat-up old old-timers speak of an almost invisible thing that liked this kind of place. It would suck you in, chainmail, helmet, sword, bow, pack, boots 10-foot pole and all. Then digest you at its leisure. He tried to remember what it was called. "Jelly blob? Jelly block?"
I'd agree with the proposed new marking order. Theo is only 2nd level, he's kind of squishy.
OM, how many PCs can be abreast in the tunnel?

Maag
"Yer got dat right", says Maag. Quickly unslinging his rope, he ties one end around his waist and tosses the other end to Andron. "We can 'ide up der," he says, nodding at the pipe.
Standing at the entrance to the pipe, Maag jams his shoulders against one side of the pipe and his boots against the other and begins to chimney-climb back up the pipe.

Hearing the noise she checks her daggers and prepares for a fight if needed.
I'm OK with the order.

Theo assists Maag. He makes his hands into a stirrup for him to step into, boosts his butt with his shoulder, etc.

Re: Quest #47 "The Eyes Have It"
The tunnel is 10 feet wide, so you could walk three abreast, if desired.
Under The Ethereal Marketplace
Zuhma's Sewer Quest
Smelly, Humid
Percy stands in the tunnel staring straight ahead, eventually speaking into his shell again before pointing at the others behind him. "I can see something now. It looks like a pile of bones or something, creeping slowly towards us through the water."
With a boost from Theo, Maag wastes no time scuttling back up into the entrance pipe, nearly falling back down onto the much smaller Andron directly below him before managing to wedge himself tightly. He tosses the end of his rope back into the tunnel below, but as of yet, none of his friends grab ahold and climb up. Andron sees no alcoves or cubbys to hide in, but he does notice that the tunnel heads off in the opposite direction behind them as well.
Feanol bravely pulls out a pair of daggers, ready to fight if the others deem it necessary.
Actions?
If you'd like to follow Maag, I would take either a [3d6] Str or Dex check (whichever is better for you) for any non-professional climbers hoping to get back into the pipe.

Alordan raises his hands out to the side with a bewildered look to Maag. "Where the hell do you think you're going?" He points his sword to the oncoming menace, "Our way forward is that way...."
