If Jaelah would rather hang out with Bilis, she is available. No need to be part of the interrogation. Also, the body and gear on the Zhodoni need to be examined.

I think Tig is posting this in future tense. Guiding the “interrogation” methodology.
While maintaining read thoughts, Walt will also broadcast Telempathy to Nirkha of trust, authority, and safety in Arker.

According to Garvin, it's happening (or will be once it gets to that part). Bilis did create a duplicate body so the evidence isn't being thrashed, though.joertexas wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 5:41 pmI'm confused. It still smells like he's soiling himself, but he's putting on a good front.
Walt can read his thoughts. He's terrified and sure he's going to die but won't allow himself to be reduced to pleading.

"Yet."
Arkar shudders, and shakes his head.
I don't need my olfactory sense to know your frightened and don't believe what you say. You do have rights, agreed, but if I turn you over to the Navy with the sworn testimony I have, that to our Naval lawyer shows that 'Conspiring with an OutWorld Agent in a Imperial Naval Dockyard' is a close to immediate death sentence with the evidence we have amassed. Lets get you cleaned up and to a med bot first before we get ahead of ourselves. But first, Name, Position, Codi Number and a short synopsis of your travel and actions over the last month. We can dispose of you with the local Imperial Justice where you have no friends or anyone owes you anything and let the justice system hang you. "

He'll give it. The short version is that he's an academic (Walt will gather that means charlatan) and he does lots of travel speaking. He'll list where he's been and it isn't unusual. It's yet to happen and also might not (if made redundant as per Walt and Arkar's tactical choices in the interrogation). This is Garvin's "worse cop" cameo (as per the interrogation strategy plotted out with Arkar and Walt). As things are I may have somewhat jumped the gun but thought it could be usefully put in place ahead of time to keep the action running along / so as not to misplace the position of our collective horse and cart... or indeed the timing of our chicken and egg...terrymixon wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:13 pmAccording to Garvin, it's happening (or will be once it gets to that part). He was pontificating to anyone who would listen on the liner Glisten Pearl and the high port. Nothing more, nothing less. He will think about having bribed the communications officer at a bar, offering good money if there was anything juicy. All for bragging rights and seeming to have his finger on the pulse of everything in the Ancient Hunters realm. He was suspicions of how Teegarden and Garvin headed out in such a hurry and made sure his contact knew a good pile of money would reward the details.ateno wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 8:00 pmArkar looks visibly relieved.terrymixon wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:47 pm He'll give it. As far as the assassin--getting ahead here--he doesn't even remember him. All his hangers on are interchangeable and of no consequence. He didn't know him from Adam.

Walt will project Telepathic Suggestion to conjure up in Niekha’s mind the thought of him in Imperial prison with the scum of the sector…and what would happen to him in there. He definitely won’t be “pitching”. “I need to plead a cooperative witness agreement. Maybe get a white collar prison, or no jail time. I don’t really need a lawyer for that.”
Suggestion: [2d6+4]=9+4=13
Cost 3…17 remaining psi pts.

That was not to hard now, was it, come on and stand up. Lets get you to the doc bot.
Arkar helps him up.
While heading to the door, slowly.
"So tell me, what are you besides what you mentioned, a member of an anti Imperial, terrorist, supra nationalist, thief, Zhonan or other nation state group? If not so, why were you an ass towards Ms. Treegarden?"
Arkar will tell Garvin via telepathy that we are at the door of the medic bay and she can start her punching bag routine.

Walter was about to call off Garvin’s drama until Capt Crunch called Treegarden a bitch and said she deserved how he treated her. Oh, now he’s done for…
”You lousy asshole, Gar! I wanted my turn at him! You may have just ruined that. You damn well better resuscitate him! I want to go my round!”. After what you just said about one of my favorite Imperial officers, we’re going to make this last a good long time…and enjoy it too!
