Gormundel knows nothing of this place and says so. "I know nothing of this place." :D

Mordrin is back in the main chamber, and with Roan's help, has pulled himself into a seated position with his back against a wall. Lt. Dan is in there with him.

The young Lizard Man, friend of Zan, does speak up. "Thisss...don't like thisss. Me sssmell...lizard folk...but death too. Sssakatha home?"

Fahima

Fahima slips up to the nearest coffin and looks for any evidence it has been opened recently.

Roan readies for the worst case scenario the only way he knows hands resting on weapons ready to draw them.

Zan

Zan will lead the lizard boy out while nodding to his friends, "Perhaps we should be outside of this room, together."

Cassius

He nods as Fahima takes the first risky step, stashing his bow and drawing his blades. Cassius almost smacks himself when he draws the Orc blade. "This one should be engulfed in black fire when undead are near."

Cassius looks at the blade and then to the coffin. "Maybe we should be positioned in the doorway, just in case."

As if on cue, the blade springs to life with black fire!

Fahima peers inside the first coffin she comes to, its lid slightly ajar, and sees the dried husk of a lizard man...or is it lizard woman? Either way, the creature is not alive anymore, nor is she undead.

Four of the coffins appear to be excactly like that > all with dried husks of the dead inside. The coffin in the middle, however, is not open, nor is its lid ajar. Could this be the one?

Meanwhile in the large sacrificial chamber, Mordrin begins to chuckle. "Those fools! The bride's hunger is insatiable. Your friends are already dead!"
Lt. Dan's mouth falls open and he looks toward the door where the companions went...and thus, does not see that Mordrin is casting a spell!

Roan turns back around hearing Mordrin and starts sprinting towards him hopefully he reacts in time. If he is able to get to the fellow fast enough he will attempt to tackle him.

The only person who can hear Mordrin is Lt. Dan.
All of the rest of you said you were in/near the circular room of coffins. Please adjust your actions accordingly.

Fahima

Fahima will search over the closed coffin for traps and signs of recent opening/closing.

Roan leaves the room not wanting to find out what is in the last coffin.

She finds no traps, but does see signs of it opening recently, along with clawed marks on the top and some dried blood stains.

Roan and Zan are in the hall just outside the round room of coffins. Gormundel is at the door of the round room.
Cassius and Sai are still inside(?) with Fahima.

Fahima

Fahima will move over to Cassius and Sai and let them know what she found and that she suspects there is some sort of undead inside the coffin.

Cassius

"Yeah, something's undead in here. I kinda hope it's in there." Cassius moves around, decapitating the dried husks. "Let's regroup and make a plan for opening and fighting whatever undead is in that one."

Sai

Drops to one knee and start to rummage through his pack. Well I know they are in here some place. He pulls forth 2 vials and hands one to Fahima and one to Cassius.

"Holy Water. Use it well. Smash it on what ever undead is around. I will try to turn what ever pops out at us. Just be ready to throw those."

With somewhat of a plan in place, holy water in hand, the three adventurers approach the only unopened coffin in the room. But as they approach...

Fahima

Fahima darts up and tries to throw/smash the vial of holy water into the opening in the coffin.

Thrown Holy Water [1d20+4]=9+4=13 to hit

Wasn't sure what holy water does for damage in 2e.

Sai

Stops draws his Morning Star forth from its protective covering shedding Continual Light in the surrounding area bright as day light. And raises his Holy Symbol in the other hand.

When Fahima tosses the holy water at the coffin, the vial smashes and the water splashes inside, producing a smokey stench and an angry hiss from the creature within. The lid flies open and a hideous creature emerges.

Then Sai displays his morning star and it fills the room with blinding light! The creature hisses and tries to cover its face, but there is no escaping the power of the light! With a cry and a hiss, the creature turns into a type of vapor and pours out of the coffin and seeps toward and under the opposite door in the circular room!
