Hi everybody!

#1 Post by tumblingdice »

Started playing back in '85 with the red box. My friends had the Holmes and Moldvay versions, so I was bummed to discover no Keep on the Borderlands module inside my version. I got over it, though. Stopped playing in high school and college, and then, for reasons not entirely clear to me, got back into it in my mid-30's with 4th edition. Nothing against 4E, it just wasn't my thing. BECMI is my first love, and Labyrinth Lord comes the closest to it.

As such, I'm mostly active at the Goblinoid Games forums, though I've come here occasionally to recruit players for games on said forums, much to rredmond's chagrin. Having done so, I thought it best to officially introduce myself. Presently I'm running Night's Dark Terror on the GG forums, and am thinking of running the Desert Nomads series once that's finished. Or, possibly sooner, if I find that I can't wait...

Welcome! I'm rather new here myself (and also a fan of the BECMI/LL trope). I believe I'll have to get a couple of games under my belt as a PbP player before I venture out to the DM side. Hope to see you often on the board(s).

Steve, run your game here! We've got cookies!
;)
--Ron--
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys. Ednichols, glad to see another New Englander here.

Cookies and ice cream, eh? Add some milk and Santa Claus himself might stop by. ;)

Aw, sorry, dude. That was last week. Ice cream was gone an hour after I posted that.

Gotta be fast around here, know what I'm sayin'?
