So, You Want To Be A Bounty Hunter...
Even though the Bounty Hunter book won't drop until the morning of June 28th, we can start the character generation process. We'll be mostly following the Mongoose generation rules, but for stats, I want you to roll 3d6 and drop the lowest for each characteristic. You really are the best of the best, you know. You can assign them where you like after rolling all of the sets.
Unseen Servant has a die roller (click the golden d20 in the upper right hand of this screen) and we'll use it in the game though we won't be linking it to the game or specific characters.
The macro is fairly simple, so here is an example of how those rolls would go. Everything between the double quotes goes into the macro window: "Stat #1 [1d6] [1d6] [1d6]" You can paste the contents of the PbP Forum Insert (it is there after you roll) into a post to display the roll for us. Once you've got them all, you can drop the lowest die in each 3d6 set and assign it to a characteristic on the character sheet. The Google Drive has a blank character sheet, so snag a copy and fill it in as you go. I'll collect them once we're done and post them in a topic for the finished characters.

Let's see. Mad Dog is a human and I'm aiming for him to have five terms. That will let us know how to shoehorn him in as we follow the group dynamic.

Hmmm. You were paid to steal a prototype device from your employer. They couldn't prove it was you, but they "mutually decided" you should pursue other career opportunities.
You had damage to one ear and got an implant to restore hearing. It's a good one and you can use it as a makeshift amplifier to hear things you might not otherwise have heard, if you focus on the conversation/noise.
Wouldn't YOU like to know?

Also, you will still need one term (minimum) as a bounty hunter. We'll roll that once the book comes out Friday.

Arkar Olsonsmith grew up on a large family farm on Marastan spinward on the jump route to Ffund. Besides helping out with the livestock he worked with the fertilizers, by mixing them and applying them using the old beat up family prop plane 'Layi'.
He found he had a was with words and emotion, and was able to lie without emotion as long as he was able to justify it in his own head.
He moved to the 'big' city on adulthood and moved from job to job in the shady careers, pawn shop, pay day loans, bartender, used car salesman. Little did he know he was laying the bedrock for his future career as a con man.
He got involved with the criminal element and went in slowly, being a front man, shadowing, breaking into chain stores and etc. During a one of his first solo break in's is when he met Ginnarr, who happened to be breaking in also. An older thief and he became my mentor, for 50% of course.
He was caught in a big heist and did not give anyone up and was sent to prison. He was put to work in the biologicals division to work, due to his background in chemistry and studied law.
Getting out of prison, he could not get a job and signed on a free trader and ran the backroads of the lanes. He ended up in sales due to his ability to lie effectively. He felt himself going back to his old ways and quit to try to find a new way. Bounty Hunting

So, with Coinich's character, it will interesting. His life is very busy and he might be stepping in or away without much notice, so he will be a PC/NPC hybrid. I'll run him when Coinich is away as an NPC but hand the character back over to him when he can play. As such, the character will be useful but not a bounty hunter. He is a different kind of support character that will have provided support even before the game starts to Mad Dog. You might be able to parse his skills and make some educated guesses but allow me to assure you that you'll fall short of what is to come.

Okay, here is my attempt at starting a character. The idea is a former Imperial Marine commando with a sniper specialization. I'm thinking of of having him come from Karin and having a distant Sword Worlds ancestry. His family runs a ranch and has a long history of providing Imperial Marines. It is speculated that their distant ancestor fled the Sword Worlds as a result of some kind of honor issue. Needless to say Williams large family is very rambunctious and nonconforming but deeply loyal.
