Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Akhilleus approaches the far door and stays put, standing guard and attentive for any noises that may come from the other side. He let's those currently doing it do the searching.
Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Xenos takes up a position in the centre of the room, ready in case any of those searching find something untoward and need assistance.
Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Sik checks underneath the beds for anything of interest.

Searching this room extensively with their superior numbers, the group finds nothing other than the long beds. The floors, just like in the last room, are perfectly clean and clear of debris.
Drest finds no traps or danger as he searches. Pushing in the opposite door reveals another similarly sized room, though this one is void of beds, or any other furnishings.
The walls of this room are completely covered with painted murals that appear to show the lives and careers of centuries of high priests. At one point, there is an obvious rejection of Hellenic principals, followed closely by what appears to be an initiation to the sacred mysteries of Kyranos by horned, one-eyed giants oft referred to as the Boreads, or "wind brothers".
The multitude of murals are quite extensive and impressive to behold, their beauty still sharp in both color and design.

Drest
Drest will search for secret doors, starting at the entry door and going clockwise.
"With all these murals it would be easier to hide a door in here."

tries piece together the narrative of the murals as he makes notes on his journal
this room seems out of place, by the decorations it could be some kind of meditation room, i know logic might be lost our minds being so different however the motifs have some commonalities with origin tales of my culture
he continues examining the murals in detail

Akhilleus looks at the murals, with his sword still in his hand. "Whatever this is or might be, I don't like it."
To Magda: "What's that about Naacal? It's the first time I heard that word."

Cyril
"I see your point. All of this history with their gods yet nothing in these murals points to Azathoth directly. Perhaps that truth has not yet been revealed to these savages...Though maybe it is the insanity of this room being placed just here that is the true evidence of its touch..."
Cyril helps scour the murals for seems hidden in the artwork that might hide a compartment or door.

Ceana
The druid waits just inside the door as the others search. She marvels at the murals along the walls, trying to make sense of them. She watches and listens to Belloc, as he jots down notes in his journal.

Kainaxarthos
He looks around the room in wonder. "Exquisite. This is marvelous. I think I know a few historians who would love to see this." He examines the walls to determine if they could be removed for transport, knocking on them every few feet to determine thickness.

Sik stays in the corridor between the two rooms, wary of what might emerge from the seemingly empty mural room.

Certain there must be things hidden in the murals, most of the party gets busy searching the walls.
Though they are clearly permanant and unmovable, the extra scrutiny put into searching them reveals not only one, but two secrets.
First, a small thumb sized circle outlines a half-lidded batrachian eye in one of the murals on the west wall. (red arrow) There is nothing sticking out to pull on, so it seems like the circle would need to be pressed into or towards the wall.
The second revelation is a door sized rectangular outline along the back wall that looks like a secret door to everyone in the group, once Drest points it out.

"Lets experiment and see if we can get the door open. I will press the eye into the wall and someone needs to stand near the door in case it open sup and closes quickly. You don't have to go in but at least get a good look if at all possible,"

The druid walks to the upper right corner of the room and waits for Drest to push the "eye" into the wall.

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Magda smiles at the Kimmerian. "The original inhabitants of Mu, as legend has it ‒ the old Mu, not the tiny fragment that floats on our charmed disc. The Naacal were said to possess great science and could navigate among worlds as we travel the seas. They had hairless, elongated heads and were taller than Hyperboreans... though not nearly as long as these beds, I think."
Viewing the murals in the next room, Magda examines them again for any writing that might be deciphered with or without magick. She then cheerfully informs the party: "Ai, here be the Boreads teaching their art to lesser mortals ‒ again, no serpents or reptilians here, 'tis a relief!" When Drest prepares to manipulate the "eye" she stands well to one side, the first syllables of a spell ready on her lips.
A half-lidded eye: like the common Xathoqqua idols, or more like a fish?

More like an odd looking frog, probably.
I dig the way Magda shares her interesting knowledge of lore to the less initiated.

Sik will stand beside Akhilleus at the entry door, holding the blade of his axe in the door frame.
