Sorry for my absence I got Covid late last week and it got worse over the weekend. I'm slowly starting to feel better but still not great.

Get well soon. Rest up and come back when you feel better.
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
Sorry guys if I am a bit scattered with posts. I am doing a week until Friday night of 13 hour driving shifts (still got a mortgage to cover), so long days and short sleep will mean scattered posts until Saturday, but I am trying my best to catch up on everybody.

Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
I have been thinking about this and have come up with a plausible answer.Bonus question:
Which character died and is actually being played as a doppelganger? that would be telling ....
Alastar, is my choice, not a character player.
So, using this to provoke my thoughts:
Spearmint often runs games with recurring characters or encounters, 'easter eggs' and in his Pirates: cannons & dragons game a group raided a brothel to meet up with an escort who had slain a pirate captain in the bathtub. This pirate had a treasure map tattoo on his back and the escort Catriona was a Doppelganger who studied the body (whilst alive as well as dead) in order to replicate the exact inked tattoo on its form when it could manifest as the pirate and then go dig up the treasure.. An Easter-egg character as Spoonie the npc occurs in many of my campaigns.
So Alastar has a Barrowmaze map tattoo covering him. A mummified body in the barrow had boots with Alastar inscribed upon. Taking beggar form, the Doppelganger can wander around Helix and do his 'dopplegangering'.
We know Alastar went to the Barrow Mounds and was later found wandering the Barrow Moor, naked and half crazed by Valeron; with stories of his comrades being slain horribly by the demons inside, (who tattooed him as a jest or punishment to provoke others to investigate the tombs). So maybe the ranger Valeron was deceived and brought him to safety not really knowing anymore than his name and basic backstory.
Maybe any who follow his map end up lost in the Barrowmaze. (Cosmo & Golgarth have copies).
Spearmint, how did I do? Sherlock Holmesian deductions or circumstancial evidence conspiracy theorist?
Re: OOC: out of character comments and questions).
Interesting theory. I think the Guild has a copy of the tattoo map as well.
