Ceana
Satisfied the rats are dealt with, the druid exits the room and continues south, down the stairs and into what looks like a prison area. She holds her torch and peers around, looking into the cells as she goes.
I'm assuming the cell doors are closed?

Kainaxarthos
He pokes his head in when the pinecone is being discussed. "Curious. I wonder what would come if you planted it."
Seeing Ceana move forward, he turns and follows her deeper into the darkness. "Cells can mean undead. Keep an eye out." Kain will also try to illuminate the far cells, hoping to determine if they are closed/empty.

The Zakath Desert
The Ruined Warlords Palace/Basement
Late Afternoon
Sik feels a little.........sick...from his recent rat bite, and suddenly so does Drest.
Belloc looks over the Golden Cone, remembering something about certain conifer trees that grow directly over magically saturated ley lines of Hyperborea, sometimes called lines of power. He believes these cones bring a health boon if one of the petals are eaten, and remembers something about the heart of the cone having magical healing abilities once digested.
Kain and Ceana move down the stairs into the prison room below. At the bottom of the steps grows a black mold that stretches up the northern walls all the way to the ceiling. Other than it being slippery underfoot, the spores it gives off doesn't cause any immediate negative effect.
The 6 iron bound wooden cell doors are all closed. Peering through their tiny barred windows, you can detect old bones, rusted shackles, and graffitti scattered across most of the inner walls. One of the middle two cells has a pile of refuse remaining inside, its door slightly ajar and clearly unlocked.
A collapsed stairway filled with tons of rubble is situated in the southwest corner of the room.
Actions?

"I am not feeling to well, I think I caught something from that rat bite."
Might the cone cure disease?

Kainaxarthos
He points out the pile of refuse. "More rats? Best leave it for the rat catchers."
Upon seeing the mold, he pauses. "Unfortunate." He'll cover his mouth with his cloak.
"Should we burn it?" He asks the nearby druidess.

Taibhse
Taibhse sees some moving forward and down the stairs, he'll move forward to support them reaching the bottom of the stairs while the others move towards the cells.

It appears to have been one of the palaces corner towers at one point, before it collapsed.
Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Belloc
With a sense of purpose, Belloc repurposes one of the sturdy tables, and inscribes intricate warding glyphs on its edges. then commences the delicate operation of dissecting the golden cone, intent on extracting the leaves while separating them from the coveted core.
Belloc shares his belief and as he explains his actions to Taibshe and anyone who would listen. "These fruits," he begins, "are infused with arcane emanations that hold the power to mend the body. To harness their full potential, the seeds must be sown directly over the magical ley lines and tended with care, accompanied by a ritual cast every full moon to fine-tune the emanations' diffusion rate and ensure complete absorption."
As he continues his meticulous work, Belloc diligently records his observations and sketches his findings. He takes extra care to package each leaf individually in a delicate fold of a silk handkerchief. At last, he reaches the heart of the golden cone.
Glancing at Drest, who has been afflicted, he offers, "This heart might hold the key to alleviating your ailment. As for the petals, they seem perfect for treating superficial wounds. Ceana, has been a diligent steward of our medical supplies." Belloc gently slides the handkerchief containing the petals in her direction and takes a step back from the table, his eyes filled with hope and curiosity.

Sik turns toward Drest and Belloc.
"I've been afflicted with the rat's plague as well. Will this..." Sik shudders, part in pain and part in hesitation of using this seemingly magical device. "...be able to cure me as well?"

Drest
"Is there enough for both of us to try or just one? If just one we could draw lots? I tend to be very unlucky so odds would be in your favor."

Belloc's jaw clenches with concern as he entertains the idea that the fruit might not possess the necessary potency. He quickly double-checks his meticulous notes, striving to gauge the quantity of active material contained within the cone.
OOC: DM is there enough fruit to attend 2 victims?, if so he'll divide the material the best he can if not he'll relay the news and let them decide

Akhilleus
"It's a pity that we have to use it this soon. But, please, by all means. Use it.
I wonder if we'd plant the thing in some place where plants can grow, how long would it take the tree to grow and if we would get dozens of these." He then goes out of the room and stands guard.
I noted the cone in my inventory. If someone else wants to carry (Bellock?) please tell me when you've added it to yours and I'll remove it.
