CHAPTER 13: R&R in Hagalton
Re: CHAPTER 13: R&R in Hagalton
Silvestri
"Very interesting. If you throw in a dozen bullets, I'll take it, and keep me mind if you come into possession of more artifacts."
This is the usual depleting roll, where a 1 on the activation means the activation dice shifts down a notch?

Silvestri hands over the coins and straps on the belt.
"Of course, I will keep you in mind if I find anything interesting. Also, if you need me to examine and determine the properties of an artifact and impart such knowledge then I would be happy to do so at a reasonable cost."

I don't have a comprehensive list of "Special Items". Essentially, you describe what you are looking for and I will judge what's available.

If Anton has no interest in the Ten-vres pistol, Max will ask to see it. He will inquire also about how difficult it is to procure ammunition for it.

How did I overlook that? Can I trade the crossbow for it?Norjax wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 4:42 pmNo interest in the Ten-vres pistol?Anton_E_Gregor wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 4:10 pm Anton spends 29 gold on a Heavy Crossbow with 20 quarrels. 171gp Remaining (+starting gold).

Hagalton 10D/82
OOC: We’ll consider the crossbow transaction didn’t occur.
Anton haggles with Po about the price of the weapon.

“As a companion of my patron here,” Po gestures towards Silvestri, “I’m willing let it go for the 328gp you hold.”

A hard bargain but a useful tool!
Anton will take the deal.

Re: CHAPTER 13: R&R in Hagalton
Max will congratulate Anton, Nice find. He will then turn to Po and ask, Any fancy hand to hand weapons. All I got is this spear and it wasn’t no good against most of them fiends out in the waste. Need a backup in case the sky gods don’t answer my requests, you know?
Re: CHAPTER 13: R&R in Hagalton
Kurot goes shopping for ammunition to add a dozen rounds to his ammo supply.
4 refills @1 gp each: 4 gp
8 rounds @ 2 gp each: 16 gp
Total cost: 20 gp
New ammo count: 41 rounds
Remembering how the party was stymied by a cliff a while ago, he also asks around about any artifacts that would help overcome such obstacles.
e.g., antigrav boots; jetpacks; strong, long-range grappling guns; built-in rocket boot upgrades for himself—whatever.

Let’s hope I never get it then, Anton.
Re: CHAPTER 13: R&R in Hagalton
Hagalton 10D/82
Max describes his need for a better melee weapon. Po departs and returns with a wooden case holding a weathered long sword. The weapon is constructed of seamless gray metal, chipped, and scratched in various locations, but otherwise perfectly proportioned. The edge isn’t sharp, being about an eighth inch in thickness with tiny holes bored towards the center of the blade and spaced two inches along its perimeter.

“The construction suggests an origin preceding the Cursed Times. I have determined it has an internal power source activated by twisting one’s hand on the grip. The blade vibrates with a high-pitch whine, cutting into materials easier than a sharpened blade.”
275gp as is.
Po then addresses Kurot. “I suggest you visit Name’losa, a merchant newly arrived from Lantica (Location 57). His dialect is hard to understand but he peddles some rare oddities.”
