2.1 Over the River and Through the Woods to Madam Eva's

Vorkath smiles at the sight of Agrippo and Madam Eva dancing, biting back a raucous comment that his old mentor Father Aseus would not approve of. "What prophesies did the woman say, and how much coin did she relieve you of?" asks the paladin to Robert and Iluq. They do not answer. Perhaps they are caught in the moment. Perhaps they are in shock at the sight of Agrippo dancing with the gypsy of a certain age.
As he dances, Agrippo casts an eye about camp for anything suspicious. There are odd characters aplenty in the gypsy camp, but none that seem particularly threatening. There are a couple of enticingly lovely gypsy women that catch Agrippo's eye. But he sees no evident fiends, wolves, or prisoners—only a fire surrounded by a ring of logs used for seats, all in the midst of a camp of colorful tents and wagons.
He breaks off the dance with Madam Eva. She bows. "You must go? But of course you must. And of course you do not. Though you leave this place, you have a long dark road ere you truly leave. Unless you depart by a quicker path!" She laughs and returns to her tent.
Agrippo retrieves his pony and suggests that you head back to town.

Re: 3.1 Over the River and Through the Woods to Madam Eva's
On the ride back to town Vorkath will ask the group again what manner of prophesy they received from Madam Eva. Though he is dubious of such fortune telling, the paladin realizes the local gypsies have some knowledge of the area and perhaps Strahd given their ability to come and go from Borovia.
After the visit to Madam Eva, Vorkath will pay a final visit to Father Donavich. Assuming he can find the priest, Vorkath will say: "Father, I come to you for aid, one holy man to another. Tomorrow we go to vanquish Strahd. There is a good chance we may not survive, but we are bound by God and all that is good to try. What could help us greatly is any holy water or healing potions you may have. Will you help us bring Light back to Borovia?"

"Several clues in each turn of the cards, perhaps we need to decide which to go for first?",

Iluq
Iluq nods to Vorkath. "This is no time for keeping any secrets. Even if your faith in your true god causes you to be skeptical of other beliefs, it's good you ask and I caution to consider them as worth thinking on."
Iluq will then give Vorkath the words of Madam Eva as accurately as he can recall them.

Robert wonders too,"Is there a reason they wouldn't want Strahd in power? Or are they just a means to an end for Strahd...to lure people back up to his castle? Either way, we seem to have more information now, abliet cryptic, than before."
Re: 3.1 Over the River and Through the Woods to Madam Eva's
FYI: I've adjusted the time to be half an hour later. Going through the old posts in this thread, I noticed that even though I said it took half an hour to ride from the fork in the road to the gypsy camp, I forgot to advance the clock. I've corrected that now. It is 4:10 as of the last update. You have enough time to get back to town before sundown, but only just.

"Lets pick the others up, they should have done enough shopping and drinking by now. Do we check in on Izzie and Ireena or go find a room at the doom and gloom tavern?"
Re: 3.1 Over the River and Through the Woods to Madam Eva's
Robert agrees, "I wouldn't want to be out here at night...I feel it's a horrible night for a curse! And after my experiences today, staying shut up in a room makes more sense. Though we should be prepared for another night like last night."

Location: Leaving the Gypsy Camp
**************************************
You leave the gypsy camp—Vorkath and Iluq on their horses, Agrippo and Robert on foot. The grey light that filters through the mists grows darker as you get closer to town.
On the trip back, Vorkath asks the rest of the group what they learned from Madam Eva. Iluq recounts the fortune telling as best as he can recall.
"Several clues in each turn of the cards,” observes Agrippo. “Perhaps we need to decide which to go for first?"
Robert wonders aloud about the gypsies. “Is there a reason they wouldn't want Strahd in power? Or are they just a means to an end for Strahd?”
You reach town without incident. It is hard to tell in this eternal greyness, but it seems to be just before sundown (about 5:20). Vorkath had suggested a return trip to speak with Father Donavich. Stirling suggests finding Tibbius and Tumbler then either checking in on Izzie and Ireena or getting a room at the “Doom and Gloom Tavern.” Robert agrees that it would be best to get inside soon.
I’ll need to hold you all here for now. You’re a few hours ahead of the other two. They should be about to wrap up too, but you can never tell.
Let me know if you'd like a random encounter on the road back to help fill the time.

"oh the gypsys curses," says Agrippo,"I forgot Snowflake at the camp, just go back and get her..."...blushes the big fella, clearly under Madams' spell and wanting another tryst around the campfire!"
Agrippo will be wary of the night and ready for action as we approach the town, spear in hand to lance down any wolves coming out of the woods. "lets keep moving"he says
