It should appease Marlaman if a group heads out earlier with a promise to return if any sign of an invasion is likely.

Either or both of mine could go. I'd prefer both, but if it's only one, Wes would probably make the most sense.

The Princess would prefer to go back out and find Chauncey and the rest of the gems. The pub is fascinating, but she knows that she couldn't focus on things there while the outside awaits.

jemmus wrote: Wed Jul 26, 2023 12:00 am Young Theo listens intently. It reminds him of sitting around the campfire hearing the old timers' tales back in ranger school. It seems to him that there sure were a lot of gold pieces around back then. And things were more heroic then, too. Battles with goblins, orcs, gnolls, trolls, manticores, all kinds of cool things. Whereas he's only been attacked by a giant swarm of bugs, avoided them by hiding in fetid swamp, and battled with some short mechanical things (some variant of a golem?), that he helped kill with a nail-driving thing. And didn't get his beloved magical bastard sword by slaying a... well, minotaur, for example. It came from the festering wound of a big feces-eating amphibian or something thing.

The stories just don't have the romantic ring to them. Cresty's does, though. He waits for the part about loading the pile of gems and gold pieces into sacks.... And the bargaining and negotiating about who gets the magic dagger, boots of flying, etc.
Love these posts too.

Solid gold! :D

How bad does this screw things up for group equality?

Looks like all the MU's and Druids are going to be in the same group?

Is that a concern?

Wake (C3) AC:3 11/24 0/4 first 3/3 second - Goes
Grimm (?) AC:5 20/20 - Goes
Elnaerel (C4) AC:3 19/30 0/5 1st 4/4 2nd - Goes
Waesfaren (D6) AC:7 53/53 3/6 1st 3/5 2nd 2/3 3rd 1/1 4th PfF:0 Bullseye Lantern - Prefers go
Princess (MU1) AC:6 HP 3/5 - Goes
Yrias (C/MU/F1) AC:5 8/8 1/3 1st RM, CL, DM 1/1 1st - Goes
Maag (F3/T4) AC:4 5/20 - Prefers go
Tlachtga (D5) AC7 33/35 1st 5/6 2nd 3/5 3rd 2/3 (Light Stone) - Goes

Aliendron AC10 11/17 (CL4) 1st 0/5 2nd 0/4 (MU3) RM, CL, DM, 1st 0/2 2nd 0/1 - Stays
Theo (R2) AC:5 11/13 (Sword) - Stays
Alordan (R4) AC3 16/22
Torbath (M3) AC8 16/18 RM, CL, DM, 1st 2/2 2nd 1/1 (top of backpack) Comet AC:7 4/4] - Stays
Lerrick: (C5) AC:5 24/28 1st 0/5, 2nd 3/5 3rd 0/2 (Light Stone)
Cresty: (F2) AC:4 15/17
Feanol (MU3) AC:10 10/14 RM, CL, DM 1/4 1st 1/2 2nd
Amun (F3) AC:2 14/33 - Either way

There will be a couple other adjustments to the groups, but I will let that play out organically, I think. :?

I am not sure of some of the classes but it looks like just 1 fighter type in the goes group? With 2 clerics and 2 druids it seems to have healing covered at least.

Torbath

"It is only not exciting till you realize that he ate the person that was wielding the bastard sword and it was stuck passing the sword within his back-side and I had to use an Unseen Surgeon spell to crawl up inside and remove it without harming the host." That was exciting! 8-)
:D I didn't realize that it was a GI tract issue at the time. Theo buys a bottle of whiskey to try to sanitize the thing. And follows that up with a bottle of everclear. He also starts wearing an N95 mask when he uses it.

Okay gang.

I will be going in for surgery in a couple hours today, so I will be away from the game again for a while. Not sure how long it will take before I’m feeling up to posting regularly again, but I shall return.
