Chapter 1: Journey through the Jotens

Boff turns to strike the next Hobgoblin, when he suddenly notices it isn't moving. Seeing the hob in the distance (red 4) start to turn to flee, he charges towards it as fast as his legs will pump, yelling at Frannie Gi' the heck outta the road, ye!!

Longsword Attack [1d20+3]=15+3=18 Damage Lg [1d12+3]=5+3=8 M [1d8+3]=1+3=4 Again, it's an if he gets there in time, what exact direction does the hob flee, etc. Thing. And I'm pretty sure Q dropped the hob, but it still moves Boff towards cover, so....

Frannie follows the lead of her cousin and Garrant and runs with all due speed towards the NE, looking to get below the line of sight for the northern arches on the rise.

Qleceec lops the head off the running hobgoblin so fast that it runs a few steps without the head and the Qleceec moves down to engage R9, but it still is alive.

Androgost splits his attention between the ballista and killing the hobgoblin. With his focus split he does neither very well. The hobgoblin (P1) is wounded but alive and the ballista is still operational.

Nah Olos runs R7 through killing him.

Siouxsie casts Charm Person or Mammal on R10. Saying "Oh, my hero. Please save me from these fiendish comrades of yours." The hobgoblin stops attacking her, but is confused by her request. One of his best friends just asked him to attack another friend. He spends the round contemplating the situation.

Garrant moves to the cliff face facing the archers thinking that he might be their next target.

Hex casts Alter Self, and turn himself into a 5 foot sylph and is able to fly about 40' into the air. And realizes that there will not be much glare on this misting day, but still shooting into the air can be difficult.

Raffi just makes it to the top of the cliff (almost slipping) and unintentionally makes some noise dropping a big rock. Boff and Frannie run toward respective cover. However Frannie runs "with all due speed" into a 10' deep pit covered with a tarp. The tarp does not support her weight and she only takes minimum damage (1 HP). The tarp reduces the damage from 1d6 to 1d4. There are stairs in the pit so she will have no trouble getting out.

O1 think that he knows Raffi is there. He swings at where he knows Raffi is, but misjudges the height and misses Raffi completed.

O2, O3 and O4 retreat away from the combat.

R9 tries to talk his friend is saying crazy things and he misses Qleceec.

R8 continues to engage with Nah Olos, but the half-orc dodges his attack.

The three remaining ballista crew think they can take down this elf, but cannot get past his armor.

No additional re-enforcements arrive. This makes it the parties action.

Two identical back to back rolls, weird.

Androgost parries and jabs amongst the three combatants. He finds an opening and his gleaming sword cuts deep. His counter attack is then met with a parry and he is unable to land a decisive blow.

"Disarm your fellows and tell your comrades to stop fighting." she commands her thrall, pointing towards the ballistae crew which she begins to outline with glowing purple hues of glittery shimmering.

Faerie Fire cast upon them and the weapon.

Garrant casts Web in a 4"x2" area up on the southern cliff in an attempt to trap O2, O3 and O4.

Hex will fly 90’ straight towards the Druid and ranger, wand at the ready in case any of the hobgoblins effect an escape.

Raffi will roll to his invisible feet and attack the foe lashing out at him with Shortsword and dagger.

Boff Once under cover, quickly reverses direction in an attempt to come around behind the blue crew unobserved.

Frannie cautiously attempts to climb to the lip of the pit, and cast hold person on three members of the blue crew.

Frannie uncovers herself from the tarp and up the stairs in the pit. Then she attempts to cast Hold Person on three of the Hobgoblins that are in the Entangle.

Boff heads attempting to sneak into the Entangle field. Please make a 3d6 vs. WIS to realize this might not be the best thing to do, and if that fails then please make a saving throw vs. spells.

Raffi still invisible, attacks the Hobgoblin, but does not land a blow.

Hex moves forward, still at a height of 40'.

Garrant cast a Web spell, if he captured any of the Hobgoblins it would require going up a checking it out.

Siouxsie casts a purple Faerie Fire on P1, P2 and P3 (and the ballista) and orders R10 to "Disarm your fellows and tell your comrades to stop fighting."

Nah Olos runs R8 through with his bastard sword.

Androgost battling his way through the crew kills P1.

Qleceec completely kills R9.

Three of four remaining fighters (R10, P2, P3) all collectively decide to stop fighting, but do not yet drop any weapons.

O1 continues his battle with Raffi, but is also unable to hit the invisible Halfling.

Androgost continues to dispense justice with the remaining monsters not yet yielding completely.

Qleceec moves to recover her bow and and quiver, once she has it she sheathes her sword.

If she can still attack this round, she targets the closest hobgoblin in the Entangle area,

Boff is committed to getting to those on the bluff! (maybe this is why his rolls were so bad!) He finds himself stymied at every turn, making absurdly slow progress through the damnit bushes and waitaminite vines. If he is able to reach #1 this round, he'll take a swing at him.

Will follow her thrall, telling him to disarm his comrades, using force if necessary to defend her from further harm.

Mindful of the trapped areas and trenches.

"Surrender you fools or suffer the fate of your comrades!" she speaks to those highlighted abd those who wilt in combat.

She hopes her high charisma and coercion of one Hobgoblin will have an effect to persuade others.

Qleceec recovers her bow and sheathes her sword. And then moves to target the Entangled Hobgoblins next round - You can save those for next round

Androgost proving that the Hobgoblins should not trust a yield attempts to kill the foe, but he managed to defend himself.

Nah Olos moves over and attacks the charmed Hobogobin that is trying to get the other two to disarm.

Siouxsie command the other hobgoblins to "Surrender you fools or suffer the fate of your comrades!" Even though they have stopped attacking her friends continue the fighting.

Garrant hopes this combat will end soon and holds his action, ready to react.

Hex moves and tries to look in the Web spell, but does not see any captured Hobgoblins

Raffi continues to try and kill the Hobgoblin, but cannot land a blow through the armor.

Boff in a burst of I do not know what rushes into the Entangle for a second time this week is not captured and moves through it and kills B1 an Entangled and Held Hobgoblin.

Frannie watches the chaos.

O1 continues his dance with the invisible halfling, unable to land a blow.
P2 & P3 realize that giving up is not good enough for this group and try to strike back at Androgost assault. They fail to get past his armor.
R10 defends himself and strikes back at Nah Olos landing a blow for 3 points.

The combat starts up again.
