Sir Gerlot of Selot

Gerlot laughed. "I have to find myself a weapon that will strike a flying foe, I suppose. Unless the thing is willing to land close by."

Gerolt bowed, and added. "We have stayed at the inn, and will do so as you suggest. Tonight, then, we will return and learn how to hunt a griffin."

Gerlot's player is a bit under the weather, sorry if this isn't flowing well. Also, is there a way for him to contact his contact here (Eshina), without being rude?

Murgar

Waits patiently to exit to the Inn, uncomfortable in this formal setting.

Arngeir

"Sir, we were looking to travel to Burzyn to have the drake hide properly treated before it perishes. This would likely to take us a couple of days to arrange and return. Would this fit in with your plans!? If not then of course we would look to find some other arrangements for the hide."

Baron Rythal

"That is important business and we have just started to plan. The Prince and Marshal will need to be consulted as well. You have plenty of time to take care of that."

Sir Gerolt of Selot

Gerolt paused for a moment, and then smiled. "My Lord Baron, you said the composition of our group intrigued you. We are going to visit to Kajl Falestra in Geda at some point, would you like us to do that now. Would you like to invite him or someone from his household?"

Baron Rythal

"I think the hunting party is already fairly large so we will hold the count as it stands."

The Baron adds some more pleasantries and the audience ends and everyone heads back to the Inn.

Since Eldura needs to prticipate in the hunt, and also look the like, she'd need some light armor like leather and a crossbow, if possible. She'd take Gerolt's help to ask around where she could acquire those.

If armor is available, and can be crafted in time for the hunt, I can have a look at a set. Might use kurbul for a chest piece, for example, depending on the weight.

Once they were out of the baron's keep, Gerolt went over the discussions in his own mind, and then explained what he could to the others. Especially who the Marshall is, and what sorts of things are known about him and the prince.

Is it still expected that someone will be back at Caermel tonight, as originally planned? Gerolt needs to help Eldura with the armor situation, etc, but an invite to the baron's table/keep/whatever is a good thing to attend. :)

The Marshal is the head of the Feudal military in times of war. In other times he is responsible for the Kingdoms readiness and is one of the most important nobles in the Kingdom.

You are not expected back tonight, the Baron said you had at least a few days.

On the way out and back to the Inn finds breathing easier. Yes, lets get to the Inn and plan our trip to Burzyn. That may be a place where armor and weapons could be found if they are not available here." His manner and speech much brighter once they are away from the keep.

Sir Gerolt of Selot

"We did well," Gerolt said as they travelled. "I've been here my entire life, and I don't think I've seen the prince more than a couple of times. The marshal a few more, but not that many. Now we have been introduced by name to the baron, and will likely have the same for the prince and the marshal."

Noon of the 3rd of Nolus. Summer. Weather is cloudy. The last leg

Everyone gathers everything up, loads the mule and prepares the horses. Taking extra care with the Drake hide. They then set out on the last leg of their journey to Burzyn. It is not far with a well traveled good quality road. You arrive in Burzyn in mid afternoon (maybe 3pm). The capitol is a little over 500 people and the largest settlement in Chybisa.

Sir Gerolt of Selot

"What if we split up?" Gerolt said. "I need to see about armor and crossbow for Eldura, but don't need to be there for the drake hide or talking to the Khuzdul. There's a well near the north road, and a decent inn nearby. We could meet there in a couple of hours, and have everything done."

Gerolt needs to find his friend in the town guard to arrange for the armor and crossbows. His player needs to figure out if there's any income, and how to afford a potential squire, etc. Lots of growth options for the knight.

Eldura has a good look around while they visit Burzyn.

"Nice castle. Or not nice, perhaps, but it looks strong. I've heard a few stories about Burzyn. Something of a sword gone missing from an armory and the King of Kaldor accused the King of Chybisa? Anyway, I don't want anything too heavy to wear, that will slow me down too much I think. Leather, cured or not, will do the trick probably." Like Leitz mentioned previously, although she has another body type proportion wise (female), she's 5'9'' and of medium frame, which should increase chances of maybe finding something previously used that can be fitted?

"Sir Gerolt, who holds Caer Burzyn currently? And from whom?"
