Where does the +4 come from on these attacks?shaidar wrote: ↑Tue May 23, 2023 7:40 pm Scimitar (long): to-hit [1d20+4]=11+4=15, damage [1d8+3]=1+3=4
+1 for STR
+1 for WM
What else?
Re: Tracks In The Desert
He has FA 2,or is this factored in elsewhere? Sorry, if I got this wrong, it was an honest mistake. I'll correct my macros.

Re: Tracks In The Desert
Oh, okay. I get it now.
Ya, don't do that.
Only add the actual modifiers to the macros and I will factor in your FA along with opponent AC.
Thanks!

Re: Tracks In The Desert
The Ruined Warlords Palace
The Basement Level, Late Afternoon
Cyril begins casting a spell while Xenos moves up to attack the final adversary. Nearly dead himself from multiple wounds sustained earlier, the Warlock doesn't do well when the diminutive humanoid smashes a pick into his side, causing enough damage to drop the overly aggressive Death Soldier. 5 dam Xenos falls to the ground as the creature stands over the top of him, ready to smash his head in with an evil grin etched upon his distorted features.
Akhilleus and Drest are having none of this, stepping up to intervene and nearly killing the thing where he stands. Cyril tries to put the finishing touch on the encounter, but the priest is unable to make contact when he tries to manhandle the diminutive humanoid.
The thing hisses at the trio and prepares another attack, even with the floor already littered with his now dead companions. The final living slave continues to back away in the direction you came from.
Actions!
Drest AC:7 6/16
Xenos AC:6 -2/12 1st:2/2 Unconscious
Akhilleus AC:4 18/32 (2 Ioun stones)
Cyril AC:8 3/5 1st:0/3 Torch (Cause Fear at the ready)

The warrior tries to land a finisher on the violent creature.
Broad sword (one-handed) - To hit: [1d20+2]=1+2=3; Dmg: [1d8+3]=6+3=9

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this guy's rolls. Might be the exception to my bad experience with the DR.

Cyril looks at his hand containing a sliver of Azathoth's madness and then just shrugs, swinging the torch instead to bludgeon the foe.

The Ruined Warlords Palace
The Basement Level, Late Afternoon
There is no quarter asked, and certainly none given, once the battle turns to the final standing enemy.
Drest and Akhilleus assault the target mercilessly, wounding him badly when Cyril steps in to poke at him from behind with his torch.
The dwarf whacks at Akhilleus with his military pick, but his heavy armor prevents any real damage.
The final slave continues moving towards the stairs, apparently about to bolt from this dangerous place before he too is dead.
With an absolute crazed look in his eyes, the frothy mouthed assailant screams out one word the group almost recognizes as it prepares another attack. "Tortur!"
Actions!
Drest AC:7 6/16
Xenos AC:6 -2/12 1st:2/2 Unconscious
Akhilleus AC:4 18/32 (2 Ioun stones)
Cyril AC:8 3/5 1st:0/3 Torch (Cause Fear at the ready)

Akhilleus attacks once more, hoping that no reinforcements are coming from the enemy's side.

Cyril swings his torch again, looking quite uncoordinated as he does.

With their group leader once again unconscious on the floor, Akhilleus proves his worth by cutting the much smaller enemy down with one final swing of his blade. Drest and Cyril try to help out as well, grateful to have such a powerful Fighter along with them time and again.
The final upright slave appears to have bolted back up the stairs behind them, with his three kinsmen splayed out dead on the floor amongst the 4 defeated enemy.
A short pause to catch their breath doesnt invite any more trouble from beyond the hallway, but the labored breathing of Xenos gives the trio concern once again.
With the deadly skirmish now apparently over, the whole place becomes eerily silent.

Drest
"Can anyone heal Xenos?"
Drest will see to his wounds if no one else can help him.
Drest then searches the fallen, starting with the short creatures that attacked them. "Maybe they have something useful on them."
Does any of their armor/weapons look high quality or special? Potion/Oil vials/bottles/flasks? Jewelry/Coin/Valuables etc.

Akhilleus holds his position while the others take care of Xenos and of the possible valuables on the little monsters. He watches and listens for new potential enemies.
"We should go back and speak with the remaining slaves once we are done here. And then discuss our plan. It's no good that Xenos is like that."

Cyril begins searching among the columns carved like trees, evaluating the quality of the carving to see if they appear to be the work of masters.

Cyril
"Yes...better part of valor and all of that. Let's return upstairs. I have the torch if you will bring Xenos." Before going upstairs, he peaks into the two side rooms (19 and 20) to make sure they are empty of threats and then makes a fast exit.
Room 18 is explored but not 19 or 20
