Podo notes the spot that Anton is attacking and charges forward with his spear hoping to strike the same location.

Kurot rushes in to join the attack, hacking with his axe at anything that seems vulnerable.

Gam’A Zone, Motter’s Realm 366D/81 (Mid Day)
Max counters the metal aberration with his spear, glancing off the hard edge of its shell (Miss).
Denslow attempts to subdue the entity, but he is unable to attain a proper grip (Miss).
Silvestri risks a third summons of his Magnetic Control. The psychic power emanates once again, lifting and pummeling the metallic bug (#6) into the hard dirt! (Disabling the denizen).
Anton swings his hammer down into a sensory cluster, sending sparks flying! (6pt. dmg).
Podo charges forth to assist his symbiote comrade. The fungal giant trips in the loose gravel but quickly recovers to remain upright (miss, fumble).
Kurot lays a triple-axe-attack into one of the disabled units, shredding the metal casing and exposing the hollow interior (Hit/hit/miss).
All adversaries are disabled or deactivated. Six are burning and belching smoke. Two are immobile (#4 & #5) but vibrate with a slight >Hummm<. Kurot has cracked open the exterior of one (#5) and can see machine components common to smart metal and constructs.

Re: CHAPTER 12e: Out of Motter's Realm
Delighted by the shower of sparks from the destroyed sensory cluster, Anton bashes away with reckless abandon:
Re: CHAPTER 12e: Out of Motter's Realm
Kurot stops smashing for a moment and checks the cracked-open unit to see if there are any useful parts that can be salvaged.

Gam’A Zone, Motter’s Realm 366D/81 (Mid Day)
Max and Denslow proceed to attack the artificial bug. Max wrenches more metal loose with his spear (2pt. dmg) and Denslow glances about to see if anyone notices his fumbling attempt (Miss).
Podo nicks the damaged adversary (1pt. dmg).
Anton hammers the deactivated unit with fervor!
Kurot peers into the hull gaps of the construct and sees items recognizable as useful construct components.
All of the units are deactivated or subdued.

Max will help pry these metal beasts open to see if he can get stuff that might be useful for trade once they get back to town (if they ever do).

Re: CHAPTER 12e: Out of Motter's Realm
Anton thwacks the disabled bug one more time for good measure. "Let that be a lesson to you!"
Assuming combat has concluded, Anton and Podo will assist with attempting to salvage anything from the critters.

Re: CHAPTER 12e: Out of Motter's Realm
Kurot salvages whatever useful parts he can from the constructs.

Gam’A Zone, Motter’s Realm 366D/81 (Mid Day)
With the insect-like constructs defeated and immediate hostilities eliminated, you proceed to rummage and salvage any useful items.

After cracking open the construct’s hulls, you realize that they are mostly hollow, connected to an oval bottom tray sprouting the legs and sensors. The spacious shell must have been filled with a resonating energy that provided lift to these units so they could sweep along the ground. You have dubbed them Sweepers although why they “swept” remains a mystery.
Their artificial energy pods are conspicuously located in a row down the center of the base tray. For the ones that are smoking, this is the source of the burning mass.
Kurot identifies the intellect aorgan nodule clusters of the entities and finds two intact.
Max drools at the various components and his mind ponders what might be created using them.
Anton recognizes some of the parts are similar to building blocks from the sky city of his origin.
In total, the following items were recovered:

Re: CHAPTER 12e: Out of Motter's Realm
"Well, that was invigorating!" Anton chortles.
"I suggest we collect ourselves and get moving. Should we alter our course any in case their friends come looking for them?"
Podo scans the horizon nervously.

Re: CHAPTER 12e: Out of Motter's Realm
Denslow says, I’m not sure they have friends. I think they are the woodlouse of the metallic kingdom. But I’m not against altering our course, I just doubt it’s necessary.
Re: CHAPTER 12e: Out of Motter's Realm
Gam’A Zone 366D/81
Danger without much of a reward is how you describe your adventure in Motter’s realm of the Gam’A Zone. Her forces have apparently swept the area clean of the most useful artifacts to support a nefarious activity involving power generating structures and sentient beings. Smart Metal and other artificial constructs roam the land and are openly hostile to any trespassers.
Gam’A Zone 367D/81
You take a direct route out of the Gam’A Zone towards Hagalton for rest and resupply. During the next day, you pass another tower off to the east and, soon after, the terrain begins to change into a more rugged wasteland indicating the departure from Motter’s territory.
Gam’A Zone 371D/81
Upon approach to the Zone Barrier, an unnatural storm develops during the morning. The billowing dark green clouds boil in the atmosphere and obscure the sun. Unable to avoid the front, you hunker down under a rock outcrop that serves to provide shelter against the torrential wind and coming rain. The rain never develops. Instead, massive flashes of blue lightning and sharp thunder rumble across the sky. A few of the flashes exhibit brilliant pink balls of light and the rock of your shelter vibrates and glows a slight purple color.
Suddenly, thousands of small fish, crabs, and other exotic sea creatures drop from the clouds followed by a juicy >SPLAT< of living tissue crushed by terminal falling. Heaps of biomass litter the surrounding ground out to 300 yards. A few strikes by pink lightning fuses some clumps of pulped flesh into a larger blob that attracts more clumps into its mass. Several chaotic masses roll across the ground, sampling any meat that avoided coalescence. The chaotic fusion of disparate eyes, mouths and appendages is a horror to behold.
As you watch, one gigantic mass triumphs and launches amorphous pods out of its center maw to consume any remaining outliers. The 20-foot gibbering horror, covered with clumps of sand sticking to its glistening body, now scans the surrounds looking for its next meal! The many eyed, multi-mouthed chimera begins to lob clumps of mucus in random directions. Where they land, tiny undulating tracts stream back to the main body of the quivering beast. The clumps sprout proto appendages that flail about seeking contact.
