Ceana

"Oh, Maxon!" she says, disgusted and emotional at the same time. Nevertheless, she slashes at his/its head with her falcata.

Cormag spins to Maxon I'm sorry Friend Maxon, but I think you must stay dead. May you travel with your gods as he takes one large stride forward and brings his sword down on his neck and diagonal through his body.

Kainaxarthos

"Excellent. Thank you, Maxon, now I need you to walk to the corner." Kain tries out other commands to determine his powers out in the wild.

As multiple allies take swipes at Maxon, he cries out. "Wait! I think it worked, did you see that? He..." His voice trails off as Tiny cleaves Maxon in two.

The Lost Mausoleum
Finishing The Job, Next Morning

Kain gets excited when whatever is left of Maxon starts to acknowledge his commands. The creature nods its head and begins to turn towards the corner when Ceana and Cormag proceed to cut the thing into multiple large hunks. The re-dead form of Maxon falls to the floor with a splat and doesn't move again, soliciting a heavy sigh from the cleric.

Tuurma and Belloc violently eliminate the final threat, watching the last zombie fall to the crypt floor. The enraged Berserker isn't satisfied with it simply being stopped, still thrashing her borrowed weapon into the body over and over like a crazed serial killer.

The others step away from the oblivious aggression, glad she hasn't turned her rage upon any of them yet. She continues to hack and slash, causing her friends to wonder if she will ever cease the intense violence. Sweat and spittle continue to fly from the woman for some time, well after her enemies have been eliminated.

The cleared out crypt seems far less worrisome without the army of undead coming at you, leaving the team plenty of time to search and investigate whatever remains.

Ceana

She pats Kain on the shoulder. "There may have been a small part of him which recognized us...but he would have been gnawing on you when you turned your back. Best send him to his eternal rest."
She then begins to search through the open coffins, starting in the northeast corner, farthest away from the barbarian.

Taibhse

Sorry folks had a medical procedure last Tuesday and lost track of all these. Glad you were able to kill the critters without what little help I would have provided.

Taibhse comes out of the trance like state he was in and begins to take stock of the damage he has received.

Glad it appears to be a success. :D

Kain smiles at Ceana and nods. "Perhaps you're right. But should we be concerned about her?" He indicates Tuurma, kneeling and just bashing the crap out of his Morningstar.

"I mean, I love the passion. But I think it's dead."

He moves to start searching the bodies, keeping an eye on Tuurma.

Cogmag casually and non-threateningly puts his sword in its scabbard while putting his plus-sized body between her rage and the rest of the party. With his hands casually and non-threateningly by his sides as he casually and non-threateningly wonders if she has a glass jaw and the wisdom of trying to overbear a berserker, if it comes to that. Casually and non-threateningly.

Glad the medical stuff went at least wellish! :D

Tuurma groans and pants.

"That's it....they're all dead. Again."

She wipes god-knows-what from her face and hair and looks at the party.

"Oh, you're here. We were attacked, so I struck back. Now, I just need to sit down for a while, hold on."

She drops her morning star and leans towards the wall only to slide down to the floor.

"Fuck my head hurts. Where are we again? I killed all of them. That should teach 'em."

She trails off mumbling incoherently.

The Lost Mausoleum
Finishing The Job, Next Morning

While the huge form of Cormag keeps the crazed Tuurma at bay until her aggression wanes, the others begin searching bodies and coffins........

This adventure has one of those silly: "if they search this long, they find this. If they search this long, they find this.....

Unless told otherwise, should I assume you want to search until you find all the treasure?

I only ask due to the spell effects currently in place. If you stick around and search for a while, to find the really good stuff, those will wane.

Actions?

Thanks all!

Taibhse

I'm fine with searching until we find all, but if others want to leave before the spells wear off I'll leave.

Okay, that was probably a foolish question.

The Lost Mausoleum
Finishing The Job, Next Morning

Taking the time to search every inch of each coffin, and the remainder of the room itself, like any good adventurers would, the group is eventually impressed with their haul. This leaves time for Tuurma to calm down, and for Belloc's spell to fade, shrinking Cormag back down to his usual size again.

The spoils amount to mostly burial trinkets, but a couple of other interesting items are also found hidden away. Whoever this family crypt belonged to, they clearly had some means. The bodies themselves had a smattering of old coins on them, amounting to a total of 15 gold pieces. The coffins contain a few silver combs, pins, broaches, and other charms, with a combined value of 65 more gold coins.

Next to a rusted and useless broadsword, a small shield is found, emblazoned with a green comet and a clenched black fist. No rust can be seen on this protective and decorative article. Another 60gp in assorted coins and small gems are found as well, leaving only one coffin left to search. The one with the freshest looking zombie still inside it.

I am breaking this all down into GP to simplify the distribution, but if anyone would rather take the individual items themselves (coins, trinkets etc.), go ahead and speak up as to what your character would want.

Ceana

Being one to fancy items, the druid takes a silver comb, pin, and broach, and any other type of jewelry.
When they open the final coffin, she gasps and backs away.
"Maybe we should just torch it," she suggests.
