Re: Tracks In The Desert
Okay, you have spent a good deal of time searching already, bringing us late into the afternoon of your second day here.
Is the idea is to block/bar the lower room doors with something (?) before taking another nights rest back in the same room you slept in earlier?

Okay then, just let me know how you plan to block/bar the lower doors, and I will give you the next update.
Re: Tracks In The Desert
Perhaps we can use parts of the spit from the kitchen, otherwise we'll need to dismantle furniture for planks as I don't remember any other sources of metal after the spit.

Re: Tracks In The Desert
You used broken hunks of stone pillar to block the bedroom door earlier, but it might be tricky carrying chunks of stone heavy enough to block a door down a tight flight of steps.

Re: Tracks In The Desert
Is there a door at the top of the stairs we could bloc with stone?

Re: Tracks In The Desert
Was checking if Akhilleus has spikes and hammer in order to block the doors using some pieces of furniture but nope.
Re: Tracks In The Desert
Could parts of the spit from the kitchen be used to as makeshift spikes? They should have pointy bits.
Re: Tracks In The Desert
At least one I would think. We don't have much for tools to cut up metal, just bend and break I think.

Re: Tracks In The Desert
No door at the top.
Cobbled parts from the kitchen seems reasonable.
Go ahead and bang and pound away.

Cyril
Cyril helps with gathering random pieces of detritus to wedge in the door cracks and hopefully stick is shut.

Akhilleus
"Since we're four, let's block the doors in pairs, at the same time, so the people on one side don't have the time to come out while we're blocking one of them.
And let's do it quick."

"Good idea Akhilleus."
Drest works on blocking/spiking the doors.

The Ruined Warlords Palace
The Lower Level, Mid-Late Afternoon
Unconcerned about the noise it makes, enough broken parts are gathered from the kitchen to wedge and block both locked doors in the lower room. There is noise of a disturbance from behind the southern door again, but there is no effort made to stop you from finishing the job.
Once satisfied that the doors will be difficult at best to open now, the party of four can discuss what they would like to do next.
Actions?
Drest AC:7 10/16
Xenos AC:6 5/12 1st:2/2 Torch
Akhilleus AC:4 19/32 (2 Ioun stones)
Cyril AC:8 3/5 1st:1/3

Up the stairs so we can't be overheard by those behind the doors.
"Time to rest?"

"I doubt that will hold them forever. If we rest where we were last night, we may not hear them kick down the door. We may have to rest downstairs outside those doors."

Akhilleus
"I was going to suggest that we rest in the kitchen, but who wants to sleep there with all that gore?
Something tells me that it's just the slave women and children in those rooms... We'll see after we rest a bit.
Our best option would be to sleep in the same room we slept last night. I doubt the can make it out of the barred rooms."

"I agree, Drest." Listening to Akhilleus, Cyril relents. "As before, that room is still the most secure we have found - not to mention the most comfortable. Hopefully nothing awakens us this time."
