Elsa the fighter turns north, looking at the colors for patterns but apparently seeing none. She carefully proceeds forward to the area in front of the two doors in the left wall, wondering at the same time if there may be a secret door at the north end of the long hall. She visually examines the two doors while saying, "Are any of you occult artists able to find traps with arcane vision?"

Xale answers the half-orc's question with a somewhat distracted; "Indeed....I have such a dweamor prepared Miss Elsa....but something just occured to me. Earlier in the dungeon; we encountered the cryptic words along the passageway.....I wonder if some of it pertains to this colorful display....particular the part that goes....

Shun green if you con. but night's good color
is for those of great valor.
If shades of red stand for blood the wise
will not need sacrifice aught but a loop of
magical metal - you're well along your march.

Hmmm....." the Dwarven Warrior-Priest finishes while scratching his beard in thought.

Abrex asks the others, "Was there some reference to colors you found at one point in your explorations"? We should refresh out memories concerning this as it may help us here. I suggest those keenly aware of concealed or secret doors take a look while we go over any memories of colors. Again, do not touch anything my new found friends."

While listening to the others talk about any reference to color they have found earlier he looks at but does not touch the color disks. He hopes they may remember some clue that may help them out here.

You continue trying to puzzle out this hallway.

Elsa visually inspects the two doors in the east wall. They appear to be made of heavy wood with iron handles. The fighter asks if any of the occult artists could detect traps with arcane vision.

Xale confirms the he can, but asks whether the cryptic words along the first passageway might hold a clue. Abrex asks if there was some reference to those colors in the party's earlier explorations. He looks at but does not touch the color disks, hoping to discern some clue, but all he sees are colorful circles painted on the walls.

"Shun green, huh?" Elsa looks at her skin color and thinks the tomb creator is a racist son-of-a-bitch.

The black color of night sounds dangerous if its for those of great valor, not that the half-orc fighter considers herself not of great valor.

Elsa then examines the red color circle and looks for any loop pattern or indentation, thinking perhaps a ring (loop of magical metal) could be put in it to make them "well along your march." (Has the party found any loops of metal yet in the tomb?)

Which door shall we open? I can bend the wood from a safe distance.

Zoster can cast warp wood in one of the wooden doors.

Abrex says, "Good job. Excellent memories. Does anyone have a magical ring they could part with? I do not have one myself or I would. Of course we could bypass this room and simply take a door instead. If we cannot find a magical ring I suggest we pick a door."

"I, for one, have no magical rings," says Eduardo. "And I suppose I'd be loathe to part with one if I did." He walks over in front of the Black disc and inspects it more closely, finding the idea of taking the "valorous path" appealing, if having no idea how to successfully interact with a colored disc. "What now?" he says, looking to the magic types for any hint of understanding.

If a ring shape or indentataion can be found, Elsa will insert the ring she took from the asp chest into it.

Mason extracts a small crystal box from his bag and hold it to the party before opening it the reveal a simple ring on a small purple pillow. "This was in one of the chests."

You do not see any ring shapes or indentations.

Elsa puts her ring back on, having found no place in the wall to insert it. The half-orc is stumped, not a rare occurrence.

If the monk found no traps in the southern door, Elsa will tie a rope around the handle, back away and to the left if it, say a prayer, and pull it open from behind her shield.

Behind the door is a blank wall. A spear fires from the middle of the wall, aimed right where a person opening the door would normally be. The spear hits the opposite wall and clatters harmlessly to the ground.

Elsa sighs a breath of relief. She unties the rope from the knob. She suspects the north door may be similarly trapped, yet no other exit has shown itself. (To confirm, the party did secret door searches the length of the hall?) If no secret doors are found, the half-orc fighter will repeat the opening process with the north door.

Cwreando suggested checking for secret doors, but I don't believe anyone actually searched.

Worren, magic-user (cleric)

Worren breathes a sigh of relief with the trap missing its target."I could cast an enchantment to find traps, but I think we all know these exits are trapped and the real matter is figuring out how these colors work.

Abrex will look for secret doors but doesn't hope for much. He makes sure he's not in the line of fire if the other door has the same trap.

Abrex says, "Good thing you used the rope on that door. Everyone watch out she going to try the north door."

Abrex brings Ula along in case she alerts him to something he might not see and she does or smells something that will give him a clue.

Abrex tells Ula, "Come girl. I need your help but be careful this is a bad place."

As the party continues to ponder the strange colored circles, Elsa ties a rope to the northern door and opens it from the side just as she did the other door.

This door, too, covers naught but a blank wall. When the door is opened, a spear shoots harmlessly across the hall.
