Drest

"Amazing tale Akhilleus. Thank you, I owe you a life debt."

Drest continues searching around and the bodies. "Good idea on the heads."

He hacks the priests heads off.

"Agreed, we should take care of our dead and then figure out our next plan."

The Ruined Warlords Palace
The Aftermath, Early Morning

Xenos looks a little healthier when he awakens, glad to be conscious again, despite the condition of the others. Drest looks better still, and the sleepy Cyril awakens fully healed.

As the others slowly come around, Akhilleus regals them with the horror filled tale of what happened to him while they were out. Seeing that Valkrina and Snorri are indeed deceased, their bodies are searched while a discussion about where to bury them begins. (You can look over their sheets and let me know if you want anything saved from their inventory.)

The bodies of the 2 dead slaves have absolutely nothing of value on them. They can be added to the many that were already left out in the courtyard overnight. The pair of dead priests wrapped in their orange robes appear distorted and strange, as if their skin didn't fit correctly. Both of them still wear a similar amulet around their necks, and each carried a sharp curved ceremonial dagger on them. The wand which Akhilleus remembers quite well must have been very real, as it's still laying on the floor near one of the dead, the twisted stick of gnarled wood almost calling out to be picked up.

With no other apparent threats at hand, the remaining treasure hunters wisely decide to check over the rest of the place for valuables before deciding where to go next. The bodies that were killed yesterday are starting to bloat and smell, and it is likely that the smell is carried well on the ever shifting winds of the indomitable Zakath Desert.

Action?

Did I forget anything?

Xenos AC:6 5/12 1st:2/2
Akhilleus AC:4 13/32
Drest AC:7 7/16
Cyril AC:8 5/5 1st:3/3
Snorri AC:4 -10/11 Dead
Valkrina AC:7 -10/16 1st: 1/2 Dead

Xenos

"We should take any money, food and drink our fallen friends have. I'd like Snorri's chain armour if nobody else is interested. We should take the wand, but I don't fancy the look of those amulets. If we are going to bury the bodies we need to be quick, before it gets too hot. Thinking about it that smell is going to attract scavengers. Maybe we should gather our gear and the bodies and head back and bury them closer to Xambaala. "

Drest

"I am fine with you taking his armor. Maybe burying them further out is a good idea but I don't like the idea of carrying them to far. I am not interested in getting slowed down and having to spend the night in the desert."

stuff to split
from Val, silver flute & 60sp, short bow, quiver w/18 arrows, hand axe
from Snori, 4sp, 6cp, cord & rope, hand axe

Xenos mentioned taking rations, water, and chainmail
Anyone want the stuff Drest has at this point?
I don't think Drest can use the wand.

Xenos

"I was just worried that we would be set upon while we bury them here, but if we work quickly then that is probably better than being out in the desert for longer."

I think it makes sense for Drest to have the bow, although Xenos still wants one eventually. We should divide the money and rations equally, so 16sp and 1.75 days rations each. We can sell the silver flute. If nobody else wants to carry the rope then Xenos will take it. I can't work out if Snorri has a great axe and/or a broadsword as well which would be worth selling.

She lost these during the shipwrecks.

Only weapon was her Spiked Spear. (A whalebone rib carved with Bardic glyphs of her adventures).

Here is her inventory
Fur leggings, jerkin and hooded cloak. Fur lined boots. Leather armour, (boiled seal hide and whalebone studs, walrus tusks)

Carved whalebone scrimshaw (Spiked Staff).

Waist belt and two large pouches containing Silver Flute, panpipes, tambourine, castanets, drumsticks.

60sp.

Akhilleus

"I'm only interested in my share of the money and food. We should eat something and look for water.

I agree we could sell the flute. She won't need it anymore..."

We could use up the 0.75 rations each and supplement it with non meat from this place.

1 day of rations and 16 sp added to inventory.

Cyril
"Alright, I will ask the question. Why should we bury them? Certainly their bodies will not care how they decompose. I will help of course but it seems unnecessary. Especially given the dangers around us."

Cyril collects his share of the money and grabs a day of rations.

"To be honest when I was growing up I was taught that after death the body is simply a resource to be used, or not. I know others don't feel this way."

Food, water and chain mail taken

Akhilleus

"We could deposit them on the desert sand. They will get completely covered in one day. Or so I've heard say from desert people that the sands changes very quickly.

But I wouldn't like any of these bastards eating our dead companions, to be honest.

By the way, Xenos, thanks for the stones."

Okay, so splitting up the items and just dragging the 2 bodies of your companions outside again? Setting them at the base of an ever-growing sand dune?

Are you leaving the bodies of the numerous slaves you killed inside the ruins to rot?

Will there be any experimentation with the wand?

What of the hooded snake/priests and their matching amulets?

Okay, so splitting up the items and just dragging the 2 bodies of your companions outside again? Yes

Setting them at the base of an ever-growing sand dune? Yes

Are you leaving the bodies of the numerous slaves you killed inside the ruins to rot? I would prefer not to, how long do we think it would take to drag them to a different sand dune? Think of them rising as undead more than anything else.

Will there be any experimentation with the wand? Not from Drest

What of the hooded snake/priests and their matching amulets? I vote for sand dune but Drest doesn't want the amulets
